believe it or not, our beverage o' choice is lemon-lime kool-aid, though am also a fan o' the less common available watermelon flavor. went through a short-lived peach-mango phase 'bout a year ago. typical we buy +20 packets o' the stuff at a time along with the generic brands o' splenda. have been habitual drinking the stuff since the mid-nineties. HA! Good Fun! That does surprise me Gromnir, someone of your intelligence and insight being fool into drinking a Western produced unhealthy drink that is just designed to weaken the aspirations and objectives of minority groups like Native Americans into thinking that Western culture is cool and needs to be emulated....resist Gromnir..refuse the Kool-Aid

Shady !!! You are a regular gastronomic adventurer ...rule 12 of the Gastronomic Rule book clearly states " you forbidden to drink Kool-Aid " .. ] What is the theme for your sons birthday...I imagine he is going to have a great time because you guys are good parents

1. Yes i believe you have no idea what you are talking about. 2. You are part of the BRICS in South Africa, so it is in YOUR interest, or should be, that russia stays strong. Because THEY will be your basis of wealth, not america or europe who are happy to plunder everything you still have left. 3. We have seen the western strategy, its coups, warfare and nothing more...the moment a new player comes up like russia or china, they fear for their wealth, well it´s a wealth on debt anyway, which they hold..oh the irony. 4. Russia is in no way isolated. Washington tried, failed and can now watch as Russia turns to rest of the world, who are very happy to deal with them, sadly as an european that also effects us. and quit frankly, i would like the EU to go to hell so we can repair our relations with russia again, because everyone benefits from it here..except america.. 5. there is nothing agressive nor militant about russia, so far they have only reactet and never acted except crimea which goes hand in hand on what the people wanted there and thanks to referendum visited by over 70 international observes was legal and conform with the UN charta, no matter what Whasington or their vassals says. (who never gave a crap about internatiol law anyway and stole land) Blah In response, I like you cirdanx. You are always so anti-Western...but its like you learnt it in some " Putin Propaganda Academy " ...its really easy to dispute. But I do appreciate the fact you are prepared to spend time debating these points so nice one 1. That's subjective of course 2. BRICS is flawed and has serious imbalances. It has benefited South Africa very little except for making our current Government sycophants of China and creating a mistaken view of how to grow the economy 3. No Western culture is about a global, prosperous and secure world where the principles of Democracy and reasonable free markets are upheld. And this is a good objective as Western countries offer there citizens the best quality of life and have the happiest citizens 4.No one wants to isolate Russia, they are an important player in the global world..but Putin cannot believe he can get away with just annexing parts of countries. He went too far. Why do you dislike the EU, you not very patriotic? I thought the Germans looked down on the Russian...remember Hitler 5. Utterly wrong...really misinformed view. They illegally annexed Crimea and are actively involved militarily in Eastern Ukraine

You seem to have missed the part where I said that i'm not for policing anyone i'm just against them changing terms so their condition is less of a stigma. Which it should be since it is unhealthy and while i'm not against fat people in general I would like to reserve the right to have an opinion on both their person and their condition without being persecuted because of being politically incorrect. Same desire also extends to a lot of other PC topics. Ah now we have a disagreement ...when you say "reserve the right to have an opinion on both their person and their condition without being persecuted because of being politically incorrect " does that mean you want to host a "I hate fat people website " ?

I just wonder why everyone thinks their feelings ****ing matter so much that there should legislation to protect them. No I'm not saying there should laws to protect overweight people from verbal abuse ....I'm saying civil society should just reject that "I don't like fat people forum " In a civil society people would feel ashamed to be a burden on others and recognize that addiction is bad for yourself and those around you. You want deal with idyllic examples then I can too imagine a society where people are responsible for themselves and don't become a 400 pound parasite. I hear you and sometimes due to frustration I just want to take that same view and basically condemn for example overweight people for " not taking proper responsibility for there lives. If other people can do it then why can't they " But I see this as a myopic view of the problem and to be honest lacking in human empathy because you don't know all the reasons for obesity ...sometimes its medical. And also if we target overweight people then where do we stop? Lets move onto drug addicts and depressed people next and " stop being a drag on society and fix your issues" These types of issues are much more nuanced and complex than just dismissing them Frustration is the name of the game and why you shouldn't try to change other people, they will resist because they see their "self" as themselves and fear change. So don't try because you will get frustrated and come to the natural conclusion that its easier to use force. If I ever see an asthma patient that flat out refuses to use their inhaler while having an attack and resist every attempt to help them I would regard them as insane if they ever complained about the asthma they refuse to treat. People that are predisposed to becoming overweight are not excused, that just means that they have a condition they're aren't managing or refusing to. I don't want to police anyone but if drug addicts try to say that heroin is an alternative lifestyle choice and that it should be legal then **** them and everyone that supports them. Same for other addictions including food addiction. Its one thing to tolerate failure but changing meaning so that losers feel like winners even when there are clear health risks affects people negatively. Imagine living in a society where people who consistently fail to improve there lives are removed from society and incarcerated until they change....gone...no more strain on the system right? But I'm sure you can imagine the obvious issues...my main objection being its just inhuman and against basic human rights And you right about the asthma example But I think the main reason I have to disagree with you is because of where I live ...if I judged or dismissed people on them being flawed i would be constantly judging large parts of my country....and I'm not prepared to do that because I believe in my country despite our challengers

I want to understand your point as it seems really interesting Are you saying why should the media try to portray people in a positive way as from your experience white people are on receiving end of criticism....do you prefer realism ? Um, no. That isn't even close to what I'm trying to say. I'm trying to say that white dudes are represented a lot in media and I'm not seeing the benefit - they say white dudes who consume media and technology are whiny manchildren, right? Well, how did they get that way? Why would you want the stuff that turns people into whiny manchildren to target you as an audience? And just to be clear who is saying " white people are whiny manchildren " and how relevant is that view to the reality of modern society?

Yes there is a valid strategy that some Western groups and countries are trying and that I think is worth pursing is that to get Putin to change his militant and jingoistic views is to keep including Russia in world events so they don't feel isolated. We don't want Russia to develop an even further " lager mentality " and think that the West is out to get them

Wow your NZ fact sheet was intimidating....." local farmer sells two sheep and demands they are allowed to sleep in the house " " Prominent diary farmer adds 20 % to fat content of cheese and deeply offends the NZ opposed to fat in cheese society" " NZ government funds scientists to investigate possibility of granting the Kiwi bird full NZ citizenship " ....this was after a local Christchurch women, Miss Mckay announced to the local radio station " I prefer my Kiwi bird to human interaction...the birds always seem to understand me " How do you survive? I would die of boredom...maybe one day I would long for such a simple life but not now

Does it give you pause when you can't figure out if someone who goes by "Genderqueer Muslim atheist. Born white in the #wrongskin" is for real or not? These are confusing times, I do understand. I never know with you guys ...so I would rather just ask

Sure, then rather say " I won't give more to this KS" But that's not the same thing as saying " I can't give more " ( yes its semantics I know ) I can't give more. My parents help with groceries and my credit cards are maxed. I have no money to give. I haven't pledged to a kickstarter since numenera. There is dlc I have on my wishlist on steam that went on sale for 60 cents and I held off hoping it would be cheaper during the summer sale. Okay....now I feel really bad, you have found my Achilles heel. Guilt...I want to apologize for making assumptions...I want to make it up to you somehow. Can I pledge for you, $25?

He has a valid point 2133, you did seem rather vitriolic and pugnacious....and its never nice to make people feel awkward

So basically you are saying that you are fine allowing a forum like this to operate even if its only purpose is to cause animosity and hurt towards fat people ? If you want answers from me then answer all the ones I have already posed you, along with the evidence needed to back them up. Nonek lets not worry about past debates, its counterproductive to a more progressive future So basically you are saying that you are fine allowing a forum like this to operate even if its only purpose is to cause animosity and hurt towards fat people ? Yes. And I'm one of the fat people. Doesn't bother me if a bunch of morons want to make a bunch of jokes that I'll never see. Fair enough, I just wonder how other overweight people feel? You may be more of the exception

Its an intrinsic part of African culture but its not technically legal ..however the authorities do basically turn a blind eye to it and there have been several bills in our parliament to legalize it. Its just a matter of time before we follow the prudent legalization paths of places like Colorado and Oregon

Lol, so the hundreds of racist, misogynist, misandrist, and other hate-group-oriented subreddits are tolerated, not to mention the ones organizing targeted harassment campaigns against real-life individuals -- but if there's even the weakest possibly of "fatshaming", the censorship hammer falls? Sounds like someone on the reddit staff has a chip on their shoulder regarding this issue... :D You sound guilty about something Ineth.....are you a member of that reprehensible " I hate fat people group " ?....You can be honest.....we all friends here

Nah, homeless people freezing to death is sad, this is just people being jerks online as they are pretty much everywhere. As for the lack of condemnation, that's pretty much it, not to mention it'd be useless to do so here. It is if you hate fat people Fair enough, I agree homeless people freezing to death is more important But I doubt the people who participate in that forum really hate fat people. Its more to do with making a controversial point and hoping to get a reaction from people who would be offended by this type of view?

This is sad..what is the purpose of a forum dedicated to hating fat people ? Why aren't you guys condemning this...at least because its so juvenile ? It's called "principle". If you are for free speech, then you have to allow all speech, especially the kind of speech that you like the least. Why? Because anonymity and free speech is the closest thing you can get to a truly honest opinion. Is that forum really an example of free speech that needs to be protected? Or a knee-jerk reaction to some stupid and insipid concept that was banned on Reddit? Also how is saying you hate fat people honest?

No, notice his/her signature "Lord of Lords", put that together with the style of prose that indicates that English is possibly not their first language and that they've made two inane threads about some deeply shallow concepts...It's LoF's new alter. Discussion: Rage sent me to make this thread - is this a mental issue or a social issue? That is the question. Its a mental perspective influenced by a social factor, so I would say its a combination of both ? You might be right but it's going to be hard to accept. It doesn't have to be, I would see this as just the way the human psyche responds to things that vex us In your case you made a thread to rationalize and get feedback on this issue. I would say this is normal. Discussing things on the Internet can be therapeutic?
