In fact its disingenuous to compare the two incidents I didn't say that what happened was the same. I'm saying that what you are saying is the same that the people who harassed Zoe were saying. Yes I don't disagree with that, they posted the video for clicks But there is also a moral aspect to the whole incident Hogan should just accept he was caught "with his hand in the cookie-jar " and move on Hogan has always been a jerk, and he always will be. Anyone that associates with him should be wary. I would be suing because of the invasion of privacy. I doubt Hogan cares he was caught red handed. Fair enough, you are probably right about his moral compass

Only managed to move in recently and it's my first completly own house. Before, living on my own I was renting a flat. Kept it clean, but it wasn't mine to do "stuff". This I build myself from the ground up (or supervised the people who did the actual building ) Now hopefully I'll be done messing around in the garden tomorrow, and hopefully the ironwork I have ordered will be done the day after, so we can install the gates to protect the facade. Melk where do you live now ? In Greece or Crete ?

No, the two are inextricably linked. Hogan was caught having sex with his wife's friend, I find it amusing this video surfaced. He deserves the negative media attention...unless you consider this behavior acceptable? I don't want Kotaku to close down because of Gawker getting sued over this. What is there is evaluate ? Gawker going down like this would be quite the fitting end since their behaviour has been repugnant. What i find more interesting is that you think that some celebrity leaks/sextapes are ok to be leaked if their behaviour is unacceptable. Should we abandon the right of privacy, Bruce? Should our behaviours be judged on the whims of journalists and in the end, the angry mob, Bruce? If true to these ideals, then during the Fappening in last august/september, did you sort out between which celebrity pictures were ok to look at or not? Were Jennifer Lawrence morals good enough for you for not looking at her? I never watched a single video about those celebrities leaks ( and I haven't watched the Hogan video for the record ), were those videos about people having affairs? My understanding is that they were personal videos with the celebrities legitimate partners. I don't see the connection to the Hogan video? So in summary I have less understanding to Hogan being embarrassed because he was having sex with his friends wife, its not hard to understand

The guy had sex with his friends wife, I don't think that is right. Now there is a video about this and suddenly the company who are hosting the video is the " bad guy " and legally could be forced to close down. I don't agree with that

Oh no please don't misunderstand me, certain lawsuits are valid and definitely not unreasonable Also remember this whole discussion around the validity of this particular lawsuit is subjective as its my opinion, not a legal one My view is actually simple one to understand. I don't want Kotaku to close down because its holding company Gawker gets sued into annihilation

I watched the first episode of Dark Matter and I also found it cliched... " another series about a group of people who have no idea who they are and how they got there " The only difference is its set in space, I have never been a big Sci-Fi fan and for me to watch this genre it has to be at least inventive. So I'll be skipping this series -
Interesting, well I hope he loses the lawsuit, the last thing we want is websites like Kotaku to be closed down. Its important that basically almost any website is allowed to flourish, how else would we get dissenting views on topics?

For me : After E3 and the noticeable presence of all these female developers I am interested in if we will see certain changes in some games and what these changes will entail

I agree that demonizing the gaming industry to implement change wasn't necessarily the right approach, even if it achieved the desired results if you look at E3 People like Anita and Alexander followed a certain doctrine that has been misunderstood by many gamers and basically led to the creation of GG which in turn led to a period of consternation and acrimony where some gamers really felt they were being vilified. So you then had this 8 month " war" between some gamers and people who believe in SJ changes It wasn't necessary because many gamers do believe in these changes, so I feel a more softer approach would have been more effective. I know people will say things like " yes but people mustn't be so defensive ( in regards to the Alexander article and its impact ) " but end of the day there were white, male gamers who were offended and felt they were being targeted So from a SJ perspective we need to be aware of this and ask if forcing certain changes without them being accepted and understood is really the best way forward? That interview made me laugh, his daughter thinking the moms comments were sexist But this is more a case of just explaining what these words mean and when it is appropriate to use them. Comedians don't need to do comedy at universities, I don't blame them But I suppose there is some relevance to the question " can we make jokes about any topic and be surprised if we get criticized " ( for example in regards to Bruce Jenner ) ?

I find the left's fellation of Sanders to be pretty annoying but what? The article states he hates "mainstream" media as its directly in the pocket of corporations and (to quote him) “insults the intelligence of American citizens daily, and is even further removed from the reality of everyday life than the average politician.” How you can interpret that as a negative thing is beyond me. Baro you are a bright guy and I'm really glad we haven't had many debates on opposite sides but this is one area we disagree on. The role and or importance of Capitalism and the West When he says " mainstream " does he mean like CNN and FOX or does he mean smaller local media ?
