  1. Trying to wear armors with preservation and break out (Blaidh Golan and Pike's Pride) and use items and scrolls to charme, dominate and/or paralyze them. For Alpine Dragon you can stay in the right side of cave, surronded by trash mob so the breath can't reach you while the ogres do their job.
  2. After many runs, it is a good way to not waste time
  3. 20% chance of a Restore Major Endurance for a -3 move speed? Imho it doesn't worth it.
  4. Hi, I played many months on a windows 10 laptop with a wired mouse plugged in, maybe can you try a wired mouse on your system?
  5. https://pillarsofeternity.fandom.com/wiki/Vendors?so=search#In_Pillars_of_Eternity_2 In the table linked above you can find vendors who sells scrolls
  6. Hi, you can see in this page who sells scrolls and where they are located: https://pillarsofeternity.fandom.com/wiki/Vendors?so=search#In_Pillars_of_Eternity_2
  7. Hi, this one can be good for your purposes: hope this helps you
  8. In the wiki there is the experience gained for each step of a quest. For "Lord of a Barren Land" intermediate goals weigh more than the last target: https://pillarsofeternity.fandom.com/wiki/Lord_of_a_Barren_Land (see "Experience gained" in the right pane). BUT, if you read here https://pillarsofeternity.fandom.com/wiki/Experience_and_advancement#Quest_experience: On quest completion, the "end state" objective experience is granted, plus whatever experience remains from the total (typically consisting of the fractional remainders that accumulate if the total XP cannot be divided into whole numbers for each objective), meaning the end state will often grant a few more points of experience compared to objectives with a weight of 1. Ultimately, if there are objectives that have not been completed, the party will be granted experience equal to the value of these remaining objectives. As such, the amount of objectives completed does not influence the amount of experience granted throughout the quest. So if you go straight to the end state you get the total xp even if you skip intermediate tasks.
  9. Hi, they have low will and so scroll of paralysis can help. Which level you are? Maybe you have to come back after some upgrades and levels.
  10. They stack in the meaning of you have +15% damage and your companion has +30% damage to target qualified for sneak attack.
  11. Have you tried to start another game? Maybe that savegame is corrupted. Also you can save (before any fight), go back to the star screen e reenter. Which platform, console or PC?
  12. Hi agree with @Boeroer, the items in that room don't worth spending time or enter console command, go straight with your run and don't worry about it.
  13. If you wanna recharge Necklace of Fireball you can sell it to a shop, when the shop restock SOMETIMES you can rebuy the Necklage fully charged.
  14. Certanly a Druid, Rogue, Wizard and multiclasses that involved those classes, anyway I'll have to study POE2 rules to make a good idea on what to do
  15. Yes, ACC is valid also with scrolls. Some good items to use with high ACC: Necklace of Fireballs (up to EIGHT fireball in only one encounter) Amulet of Summer Solstice and Sun-Touched Mail of Hyran Rath for damage as Boeroer said, but also for blind The others Boeroer said (charm and dominate) Rotfinger Gloves for AoE corrode damage Ring of Searing Flames Bittercut for Infestation of Maggots
  16. I have little to no experience in trio running, by I'd go for Druid (CC and spellcaster), Chanter (tank e low micro) and Monk (off tank and dd). I think this is a well assorted party Anyway, between your two cases, I'd pick Druid/Paladin/Chanter, mostly for healing abilities of Paladin and better varied usage than Fighter.
  17. Hi, thank you. At the moment I have little time to dedicate to games, unfortunately Anyway, if I had time, either I'd make a build kind a "Druid of Berath" (a Death Godlike Druid with Bear Spiritshift) or I'd play POE2
  18. [CLASS BUILD] Lodefens - Wild Orlan Paladin - Shieldbearer of St. Elcga This is a standard paladin built on achieving highest deflection possible. In the beginnig there was no way to progress with MAX Resolve, so i went for an offensive build until Act II, then I put all in RES. For Llengrath I maxed MIG and CON instead, to avoid dragons abilities and wizards spells. "I won't fall!" (Lodefens motto) PoTD: YES (ver. 3.07-1318 LATEST) SOLO: YES (ver. 3.07-1318 LATEST) Race: Wild Orlan (+2 Perception, +1 Resolve, -1 Might, Defiant Resolve) Culture: Aedyr (+1 RES) Background: Laborer (+1 Mechanics, +1 Athletics) Attributes Initial (with bonus and malus): MIG 17 COS 10 DES 18 PER 18 ACU 10 RIS 5 Act 2 and after (with bonus and malus): MIG 17 COS 10 DES 10 PER 10 ACU 11 RIS 20 See battle against Llengrath for specific respec values. See videos for situational equipment. Now a diary and some consideration about the run with equipment used. Initial Equipments were: Fulvano's Equipment Breastplate or Brigadine Rapier + Dagger or Mace Raedric Loot At Raedric's Keep I looted: Gauntlets of Accuracy +5 ACC Ring of Searing Flames Bluntig belt Boot of Stealth Gloves of Manipulation Fine Rapier Fine Large Shields Fine Brigadine Fine Mail Armor Fine Breastplate Several others fine weapons (Pike, Spear, Hatchet etc.) For Maerwald I bought Outworn Buckler. This is my battle agains him: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SdnAYzQgSO4 At Defiance Bay I bought the Sword of Prix and enchanted it with Slaying Kith e Burning Lash, and bought Hanover's Fist of Dodm and enchanted it with Slaying Vessels and Shocking Lash. In Defiance Bay I had been wearing Sun-Touched Mail of Hyran Rath or Äru-Brekr. I did ALL side quest of Act 2 before The Hermit of Hadret House. I did Missing Sentries with some nice bonuses from Serel, getting 19 MIG, 18 CON and 8 Athletics (without points in it). I did also Clandestine Cargo at 7th, and Cail The Silent at 10th: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=us4dIDH5zsA I completed WM1 at 10th level, no need for Scroll of Prayer Against Imprisonment for Lagufaeths, I used mostly Resolution with Slaying Wilders and Corrode Slash. For Galvino's workshop I used St. Ydwen Redeemer (upgraded to last stage using The Ring of Wonder for Second Chance). At level 11th I did Iklak, The Dweller and Cyrdel, to level at 12th. Done Durgan Battery with some pulling, but enough easely. Taken The Unlabored Blade and Ryona's BreastPlate, with some difficulty to kill the Bleak Walkers (some of them have 133 deflection!). Now Eyeless at Iron Flail Fort: St. Ydwen's Redeemer, 5 potions di Llengrath's Displaced Image and 5 of Deleterious Alacrity of Motion with Gauntlets of Accuracy bonus +10 against vessels from Survive and splitting them with 3 shadows: killed almost easily.. Before Kaoto I upgraded Steadfast to last stage and retrieved Rundl's Finery. Abbey: flooded Lower Tide quarters, retrieved Mantle of the Excavator and Abydon's Hammer, now I'm 14th. Atsur at Caed Nua! Done the Kraken at 14th with Bittercut: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iRzffqMZIM0 Now I'm going to ACT 3. Kerdhed Pames e Rêghar Konnek for doing Prisons of Ice, killing mostly of Pale Elfs. Taken Blooded Hunter and leveled at 15th. Taken Berath's boon (another +1 RES and +5 against Paralyzed and Petrified). Did At the Mercy of the Tribes and gained Wild Running. Got Song of the Heavens. Oh, ok, the Sky Dragon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=op85_i6lVmQ Retrieved Looped Rope at 16th level. At late game you can achieve 185 of Deflection with potions and abilities and 33 Resolve (37 with Redeemer): I took Executioner's Hood and Siegebreaker Gauntlets, they stacks (+10 ACC), but mostly I had worn Garodh's Chorus and Gauntlets of Accuracy. Done ALL bounties except Brynlod... Now Concelhaut, Baelorin and company I had to split them, no problems with Concelhaut apprentices save for Sabel (split/pulling the Skeletons). Concelhaut was easy (tactic involved Wizard's Double, Scroll of Minoletta's Concussive Missiles, Bittercut, Godansthunyr, Aila Braccia and Outworn Buckler https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L9RhBlbJjNI And now Sefyra with Scale-breaker, 10 Scrolls of Missile Barrage, Infestation of Maggots from Bittercut, Confusion (5), paralysis (5), ring of +4 INT, helm of +4 MIG, coat of +4 PER, shoes of +4 DEX, Wayfare's Hide Durgan Reinforced and +2 Resolve, Steadfast, Aila Braccia and Outworn Buckler: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2NrcOcma3o For fun I've done The Champion of Berath: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WDZZFo5IVxk Last (but not least) bounty, Brynlod with 6 charmes, 2 dominates and some Maelstroms https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HCGTQRPve5s For Alpine Dragon I "cheated" a little, put all my fiches on high defense, took foes as a shield killing the Dragon with Persistence: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2tg3witmUc And in the end Llengrath (I took inspiration from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-7SRHml-k4 and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T3iFg1qZT80&t=26s ) : And, finally, Thaos. Very easy with the Redeemer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qN9SfCeiGUg
  19. All @Boeroer has said is correct, I'd pick also wildstrike shock, greate wildstrike shock and also hearth of the storm, if you focused on spiritshift, if you focused on spell casting you don't need wildstrike talents. I'd max both MIG and DEX, if possible both one and the other.
  20. Hi, have you have already seen this page? https://pillarsofeternity.fandom.com/wiki/Chanter_abilities Here you can find the matching phrases/invocations. For an example, DR- is And Hel-Hyraf Crashed Upon The Shield , DR+ is Not Felled by the Axe, Nor Broken by the Storm and Crush/Stun is The Thunder Rolled Like Waves on Black Seas. In similar way, Endurance-(!) is Come, Come Soft Winds of Death, Reflex & Move Speed Blessed Was Wengridh, Quickest of His Tribe, Concentration- Thick Grew Their Tongues, Stumbling O'er Words and so on.
  21. This is a good point. Per encounter is good for trash fights, but for bosses more per rest is better of less per encounter. If you can't avoid spam rest, make rest spamming useless. Indeed, you could remove all per rest abilities and leave only per encounter abilities, all with x 3 or x 4 per encounter, increasing the effects of last tiers abilities and you'd go to rest only for health need... no more rest spamming
  22. Right, better more priests than wizards, so 1 cipher, 1 wiz, 1 chant and 3 priests (sorry my dear Druid ), at the top of the spells you cited cast Salvation of Time, put AI mode on, take a coffee and wait until any Dragons is melted down
  23. Oh, about spells wizard are superior by far of a druid, but a Druid can cast Returning Storm, spiritshift and bye bye my dear wizard I'm thinking about a fight one o one, but, in a fight against foes, more times is better the wiz, I agree. I think Relentless Storm is slightly better than Ninagauth's, but maybe I'm wrong, and Sunbeam is a good CC (level 1 also), infestation of maggots is an underrated spell but to be a level 3 tier is very powerful. But, I see, last tiers spells are very powerful for the wiz (wall of many colours and so on). Yeah, a Druid can do CC, support and also can be a little a damage dealer; claws of spiritshift with high DEX and Alacrity are very impressive! Mmm... in place of a wiz, one cipher for mindweb? And, of course, a Chanter with Dragon Thrashed
  24. 7th level druid spells is horrible, I used to leave an empty slot to cast Nature's bounty sometimes... Ok, you've persuaded me for the rest, there's only a thing I would say since first post about this (and S/S+ tiers of these two classes): Druid and Wizard are not so distant in powerful for me, actually, in a one vs one fight maybe Druid could beat the Wizard most of the times...
