If I think a class which can work with all tens on every attribute, I'd say ranger: good accuracy without need of high PER, no need of MIG for healing, no need of INT because most of best abilities are instant or endless, good having high DEX but not essential, RES and CON if you go ranger as usual not needed at all.

I don't know how much it can be useful but I'm playing a run with a Corpse eater/Priest of Berath PotD solo as a Death Godlike (vanilla - no mods). I pick only blood frenzy as active barbarian ability and most of passive (blooded, accurate carnage, thick skinned, blood lust, one stand alone, interrupting blows and brute force ) and for priest the most important spells to fight solo: withdraw, divine mark, devotion for the faithful, barring death's door, and shields for the faithful, with touch of rot, holy meditation, spreading plague and salvation of time "free" as Berath spells. As passive for priest i pick all weapon style but one weapon, bull's will, spirit of decay (for touch of rot, my favourite spell, but useful more with groups than one enemy), arms bearer, rapid casting and improved critical. I'm thinking to respec taking barbaric smash in place of maybe interrupting blows and thick skinned. Unfortunately I tooke blessing as first level spells, now I'd take another first level spells (supress affliction). Early time in game I had spiritual ally and minor avatar, I can choose this last one in place of shields for the faithful but it is not so important. And i have also spirtual weapon, then I respeced. In any case, I usually start with gladiator sword and one enchanted large shield, then blood frenzy, holy meditation, switch weapon cast devotion for the faithful then auto attack and/or touch of rot: this is enough form most of encounters and strong enemy. In case of danger I recast some spell that were over and than barring death door (preferably on low health, for barbarian and death godlike more damage and power level), 2 salvation of time and enjoi. At last time, I cast withdrawn cause I heal myself where foes continue to suffer DOT damage from priest spells, barbarian abilities and my weapon. Gear is important, I maxed intimidate and wear Casità Samelia's Legacy and Whispers of Endless Path with "riposte" enchantment, very good combo; at top of that Whispers has also Run through, excellent versus only one enemy. For particularly encounter I change equipment, armor and weapons: three weapons slots are good for sword and shield, great sword and maybe a bow for distant enemies (when I can't reach them) or other situational weapon. I took most of all profiency with 2 arms weapons. With this PG I managed to kill magma dragon, concelhaut, sea dragon, nemnok and flooded cave (only situation where I had to pull enemies). Sometimes I equipped Effigy's Husk with percepction affliction immunity, modwyr for INT affliction immunity and ate shark soup for MIG, CON, DEX affliction immunity with Eviee as pet for RES resistance (more easy with this configuration). Vanilla corpse eater are not so good, but I like this subclass with death godlike and berath priest, well suited RPG form my taste Else I'd pick berserker and magran priest with fire spell, maybe more powerful, but with mod, as others said, corpse eater could be strong the same

Bestiary not unlocking correctly
Chaospread replied to hTristan's question in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
What a necro! It is not a problem, it is done on purpose: not every kill reveal info and give experience for any monsters. For the details, see here: https://pillarsofeternity.fandom.com/wiki/Experience_and_advancement?so=search#Bestiary_experience -
I agree with all, maybe for the stat you can lower RES to 10/11 and raise INT to ~16. For early game only option is range weapon in second slot, or abilities/spell, a ranged cipher could be an option cause more spell after one or two shots by a pistol/blunderbuss Later a barbarian with leap could be a good choise, or the same barbarian with tall grass Pala 2H is good also early with pike and quaterstaff beyond the main tank

Yes, as I have already said: And as Boeroer tell pick the marking weapons he specified. I'm sorry, I thought you meant 2 wielded paladin, instead is 2 handed, so go for the weapons such as Spectacular Spetum and Blade of the Endless Paths The rest of the build is ok, solo or party doesn't make so much difference: if he works in SOLO, sure works also in party.

Hi, you can can be inspired by an ultimate PotD Solo by @baldurs_gate_2 (see video below). Basically the build is like so: Moon Godlike - Drifter M: 16 | C : 10 | D : 14 | P: 18 | I: 16 | R: 3 Abilities / Talents 1. FoD 2. Weapon & Shield Style 3. LoH 4. Deep Faith 5. Zealous Focus 6. Deep Pockets 7. Liberating Exhortation 8. WF - Knight 9. Sworn Enemy 10. Two Weapon Style 11. Zealous Charge 12. Scion of Flame 13. Sacred Immolation 14. Envenomed Strike 15. Zealous Endurance 16. Beast Slayer Items Armor: Äru-Brekr // Blackwarden's Breast // Argwes Adra Neck: Glanfathan Adraswen // Cloak of Protection // Cape of the Master Mystic Ring 1: Iron Circle // Orlan's Bramble Ring // Ring of Protection Ring 2: Ring of Deflection Boots: ... of speed Belt: Canoneer Bracers: Spirit Spiral (Llengrath fight) and ... of Accuracy ... of quickness (not important) Weapons: We Toki + Steadfast and Sheathed in Autumn + Godansthunyr Shield: Outworn buckler // Alia Braccia / Little Savior In a party you can exchange Deep Pockets, Envenomed Strike with others supporting talents/ability and raise RES in change of some MIG/DEX/CON, and furthermore take in account some marking weapons

Hi, both builds could work in PotD, the min/max is better at high levels imho, if you manage to survive early levels. Early game you have to do only with stealth (like a wizard), when you'll have more hp (and abilities/talent) you'll can face enemies. Bear cave is the strong encounter before Defiance Bay, i think worse even than Maerwald, so you can skip it and take only after 5-6 level with appropriate equipment (figurines most above all) .

About the "Psychic Backlash" question, I'd have some proposals: a middle way between actual behavior and tooltip: ONE use per FOE per encounter (1 enemy = 1 use, 2 enemy = 1 use + 1 use etc.); making Dragons (and other bosses) immune to and only to Psychic Backlash, but let them be stunned in others way, OR make them having a great bonus against this attack; change stunned effect with daze or confused effect. -
You could do Raedric's Castle also with a party with a Chiper and/or a Wizard. Put a trap near every NPC you can (not necessary but it helps), with a fast companion hit a foe and run to a choke point (bedroom door is a nice solution), then a tank block the way to all enemies while the wizard cast Bewildering Spectacle and the chiper cast Whisper of Treason against the enemy closest to your party, and in the meantime the whole group make ranged attack to no charmed/confused foes. Druids can cast Sunbeam/Insect Swarm/Burst of Summer Flame and Priests can buff party, another wizard can spam Chillfog below enemies feet. If you have a Chanter, put "White Worms" Boeroer tip on the top and you should be even better. All first/second level spells/abilities, I think you can manage it with no high level characters (5 level party could handle it, I suppose)

If you wanna have high RES for dialogue options, 15 is a good score, but if you wanna catch ALL options concerning RES, you need 20 RES. A score of 18 can catch most of the choices anyway. You don't have to change your stats, you can achieve higher score with 15 starting RES and then stack some bonuses relatively easy: 8 DEX is ok for a TANK, as Boeroer said, and moreover with high RES you have high concentration and it is less possible for you to be interrupted

I'd like to see less time to drink potions too -
True, I didn't think about first stages of game for a beginner player, where to not hit often the enemy could be annoying and this could not make the game enjoyable Aside of Priest, also a Paladin (the main char or an hireling at Black Hound) could help for ACC with Zealous Focus: maybe it doesn't stack with all, but it is a more manageable source of ACC early moments of game, "persistent" e with no action to think about for a beginner (put on the modal and forgive it). I totally agree for DEX: not to being able to make actions it's worst than low accuracy, I tried to build some melee chars with low DEX and I had to desist, no way at all! Aside the usual "only tank meat" char or some chanter builds, better put points in DEX; furthermore fast chars are very fun most of times

Hi @BarryKent, welcome! Boeroer is a guru of PoE 1 and 2, so all that he say is like a "bible" and you can trust all that there's in this and other posts of his. I would like to add humbly a side note on attributes point partition: unless you are making I build focused on crits, almost every build is viable with 10 PER, because the game is calibrated about this value and also because accuracy can be raised very high with skill, talents, spells, equipment and so on. I made a run on PotD solo with a Orlan with 5 (3 base + 2 racial) PER value: Thus, if you have doubt to which attribute save points, you can go with 10/12 PER and put your points in other useful stats (DEX INT and MIGHT over the others). CON and RES can be keep at 8/10 unless for particularly build OR to get more dialogue OR more peaceful quest resolution (RES above all); MAX/MIN players often tend to dump them also to 3, but for the first runs I discourage this But as Boeroer said (and especially in a party), you can go almost with any point distribution and in any case, you could go to an inn and respec your character changing the attributes points if you think you was wrong or if you wanna experiment other distributions Strategy and equipment play a more important role than stats in this game. Have fun!

Hi, with one of my build: I managed to do all quests and content before Caed Nua before to go to Defiance Bay (also Bear Cave, Gilded Vale Temple and Raedric). With right equipments it can be done. If you go solo, you have to pay attention to your build. Some build make some encounter easier (ie. Druid with charm beast and hold beast in the bear cave). I'd let Raedric last fight, temple in Gilded Vale and Bear Cave to the end. In the build above there are a recap of my runs, but non so detailed before Defiance Bay. Endless path before Defiance Bay can be managed until level 2, I'd avoid Ogre Level, if you wanna go for fight and not stealth, beside some builds can mange them (is. Cipher with Whisper of Treason or mage with Bewieldering Spectacle I think). I hope this note can usefeull to you, have fun!

Hi, these are indeed very beautiful news! Aside from the bug of One-Eyed Molina's Gold-Fingered Spike-Flinger which get malus on attack speed and reload speed instead of bonus on upgrades, and the wrong weapon focus group of weapons of deadfire pack, there's another bug also for Korgrak: if you hire him in Stronghold, he still appear in the cave; furthermore, if you kill the Korgrak version in the cave, he is still present in Caed Nua, can you fix it please? Thanks and good job! -
Hi, for a party you can go for a sturdy tank with these choices: 1° level: Lay on Hands 2° level: Weapon and Shield Style 3° level: Zealous Endurance or Zealous Focus 4° level: Shielding Touch 5° level: Liberating Exhortation 6° level: Deep Faith 7° level: Coordinated Attacks 8° level: Superior Deflection 9° level: Righteous Soul 10° level: Cautious Attack 11° level: Healing Chain or, if you have another healer in the party, Hastening Exhortation or Aegis of Loyalty 12° level: Bear's Fortitude 13° level: Sacred Immolation 14° level: Bull's Will 15° level: Behold the Martyr or one ability not chosen at level 11 16° level: Snake's Reflexes Stick to an hatchet and shield as weapons and put him in the front line together other dps characters For hardy encounters you can switch hatchet to a marking weapon (Shame or Glory or Cladhalíath). Hope you enjoy it and have fun!
