With should be a real great build, also with spearcaster. With WotEP I played a shaman Priest of Berath / Corpse-Eater, self buff of Priest plus barb's buff and speed was nice, very good with lot of minions and you can use WotEP Run Through for single enemy. I think it can be a good weapon also with a Rogue/Ranger (with Hunter's Fang or Best's Claw)/Monk and Priest/Paladin for self-buff, defense and heal. Also an Arcane Knight could be powerful, wiz self buff with paladin defense, interesting... It's a shame, Wiz and Druid are funny classes to play

Is PoE2 too easy?
Chaospread replied to Ocelot's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I have never played turn based mode but i can say yes, normal difficulty with a full party is quite easy. Try veteran (and maybe scaled), but the real challenge is PotD + Scaled + SOLO (viable but very difficult with low playing experience) OR, if you wanna a full party, try PotD + scaled + some Magran's challenges. -
No, for legendary ALWAYS use other "ingredients", special ingredients you can find quite easily. Adra ban should be used only for special "three" enchants (or, if at all, for some special scrolls); NEVER use adra ban for recipes you can do in alternative ways. You are "spoilering" my next SOLO build with DoCB, HotF and Willbreaker (a Trascendent) But, at the end I will gonna replace DoCB with the usual "Fleshmender" or eventually Gipon Prudensco for the first time

You can play baldur's gate, neverwinter nights and Icewind Dale series, Tirrany (also by Obsidian), Pathfinder. Points by Boeroer are fair, I say also: I like enchantments in PoE1 where you can enchant EVERYTHING (also a torch), there are always lash and race-slaying enchants, and NO choices (I hate choice above all when choice is "forced"; naval combat system sucks; fortress is way far better; rest and prostitute boons are better in PoE1; scrolls are better in PoE1 (you can charme - via confusion scroll - and paralyse foes easily); more great permament effect in PoE1 (ok you can have it through story but in Deadfire there is only one +1 attribute permanent effect in practice during the game); better weapons effect for proning and stunning foes; any class can win all the game and the boss without cheese; some affliction are useless, confusion was nerfed in a ridicolous way; no balanced 3 layer inspiration: classes with brilliant are better than others. So, I agree with you more or less, but I enjoy Deadfire the same. Anyway, you can look also in Steam for mods giving Deadfire more PoE1 "feeling".

Yes, you remember right. And this is the only example that come to my mind about dispositions, you must not have 1 cruel or 2 agressive disposition in order to get Nature's Resolve. Other "benefits" come from dialogue options, I see more dialogues appear if you have beneveolent, honest, rational disposition, but it is not a general rule and, most of all, they are no-bloking dialogue, that is: you can always (or, at least, 99% of times) get the item, money, prize you want in other manners (other dialogue, stealing, with combat...). Skills are more important and more "blocking" when they come to benefits. Also factions dispositions are more important, see "angry" boats for unique item, or good reputation with Principi for i.e. Pukestabber (but, also here, you can take it with money, strenght or other actions).

No, even if you stack also warrior stance, superior deflection and so on, unless you actually keep yourself far from the fight (going far from rest of the party) but the best option could be a potion of invisibility or something like it. Without going away from fight, a wizard/monk with self buffs should have better odds than a brawler in earning wounds IMHO.

Oh, ok, I don't have many experience with mod since BG1 times (yes, about 1999 ) and I back in the mod "mood" just with PoE2 I don't know how Skyrim or other game mods work, but I have taken a glance and tried some nexus and steam mods and I can say that it is all about the developer of the mod. You can find mod which really change a little bit of the game (i.e. one or two weapons or equip) and put only a little file for the mod with quite no "dispruption" for other mods, and the SAME mod can be done changing a big unique whole file which will conflicts with every other mod that touch weapons or equip. So, I doubt you can find any guide or whatever about mod loading and priority because it should mean that a people before you have tried all the mods you wanna install and say "this one can be loaded first, this one after the first, this one instead is not compatible with mod A, B and C"... and so on for 80 or 90 or 100 mods... it is because of that I said "there's no way"... maybe someone did it and I don't know, but the best chances are: "major" (you can read "most popular/most used") mod can be loaded with each other and, in the case, in the guide there are list of compatibilities and load priorities; mods from the same developer are compatible (at least, I hope!) and in the case he/she provides list, guide, priority etc...; little mods can work with major, maybe dev have tested them, maybe it used to work a day but then there was a change in a major mod and dev of the "minor" mod didn't fix issues ... in few words: you can make any assumption until you don't install that mod with others Let us know if you find something, but for the reasons I'm saying I think you have little chances...

Hunter's claw works if you don't stack it to full +20 bonus, and you can stack 3 different bonuses, one for each of passive, respecing your character There a post of mine somewhere in the forum about that It happened to me few days ago with a debuff I was hitten by Shroud of Darkness (with Blind effect) by a Death Guard Fanatic, I had a drug effect (svef) active with resistance to perception affliction which constantly turned blind to distracted and so on... at the end of the combat I kept with distracted effects stuck on my character Not even Eyes of Blackstone of Effigy's Husk take it away... but luckily a quit and reload did

Oh sorry, I meant a Herald, double aura: has it been just discussed? I didn't notice it! Anyway any MC who involved classes you said can be good, I think I pick the best for roleplaying... maybe a blind psion who also sings as a chanter to inspire allies and with summons he can deal also great damage
-
I totally agree, this is my Trascendent setup I picked also proficiencies in club and morning stars, because most of cipher and monk abilities target fortitude and will, or make sure your party pick these. You can also pick little and medium shield, dagger and quarterstaff for defense, or wands to help party from distance. For clubs, Kapana Taga is good at attack and defense I'm pushing diplomacy for RPG purpose and it fit well with Aretezzo's Cane if you wanna use a club, it can be good also with Shining Bulwark. Anyway best passive skill for a CC defensive character is history as you say, but if you wanna give the cloack to someone else, with Casita Samelia's Legacy Intimidate is indeed good, and you can use it also with Aretezzo's Cane My two cents, let's hear Boeroer about that

Hi, I'm just running now a Transcendent (15 level, SOLO, PotD) Beguiller / Shattered Pillar and I maxed just DEX/INT/PER. MIG 10 and CON and RES 6 or 7, I always build my character like this if there are no specific issues, but in SOLO I need PER maxed for hidden objects and traps, otherwise I could lower PER and raise a little MIG. I wanted to play a Trascendent and was wondering about a Psion / Nalpazca (basically gaining resources still standing ) but then I switched to Beguiller / Shtattered Pillar, a monk who gain wound dealing damage (like a Cipher) and a master of charme and dominate fascinated me. Race is good, I play a human always because of SOLO is better. In a party a chanter is great, Troubador is the best, but I think any combination of Monk / Cipher / Chanter of every subclass is a powerful character, so no problem for you I guess
-
Hi, I played a Ghost Heart / Chanter and now I'playing a Trascendent (so a Chiper also) and I always put 10 in MIG. No reason to have more of it. You can raise MIG easily and DEX, PER, INT are more important also for damage. MIG can be useful expecially for healing I guess, than for damage. And, besides, Cipher has alredy a bonus damage, and cipher and ranger are great damage dealer classes even without more MIG. So I agree with Boeroer. Ascendant is good for a seer, too. Or no subclass. But because you can deal great damage has a ranger you can have damage bonus as when ascendend and zero cast cost, very good. Disadvantages are little nuance in comparisons. Other classes fit worse with ranger, for a reason or the other. Frostseeker is a wonderful weapon, I recommend you also Essential Interrupter because of shock damage since you wanna try war bows and I like a lot Eccea's Arcan Blaster... with a Cipher it can make wonders I wonder what a Seer with borrowed instinct and hunter's fang can do against a specific enemy if they stack: +40 ACC, +20% damage, +20 all defenses...
