  1. Also its build v271. http://www.twitch.tv/twitch/c/5027673 At around 2:43
  2. https://twitter.com/ArmoredWar/status/505039743806365696
  3. So, considering this is a long term licensing agreement (and assuming things go well) I would like to know what YOU want out of this. So yeah, a crpg. But what kind of crpg? Perhaps in the style of Fallout? Or more like a 1st person game in the vein of might & magic? Maybe focused on interaction like Ultima or Divnity? Something completly different? After all, this is for digital products in general........... Golarion Pinball? Let's hear it!
  4. I'm ok with combat xp btw. I prefer (more involved than shown in beta) objective xp, but its either way for me. Not a fan of insulting devs though.
  5. The fact that he felt the need to make a comment like that should tell you all you need to know about him, just ignore him. k'
  6. HA! Come on Hamster you do not have to be a dev to know when it is too late for massive changes to a game. They want this out asap. Look at the feedback they asked for. Big sweeping changes suggested will simply be ignored. Even if there were a supermajority of backers calling blood it is unlikely Obsidian can afford to delay. We'll see, we'll see. After all, Obsidian's reputation is on stake. I don't think they have to worry about any of you. Also keep this thread going. Helps me entertain myself. I am glad you are not the Dev.Those comments are not so called a respect to all those help funding the project. k'

  8. Wait what? Josh Sawyer doesn't give a **** about IWD? BUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA This thread entertains.
  9. Then maybe they should outsourse some of the 2D staff, or even better hire another 2D artist on site, or bring Brian Menze on this project to help. So far the area Obsidian seems lacking is art, not in quality but in quantity, and this game stakes a lot in it's art. 2 artists are very limited manpower for this kind of project, more so since so much *art things* Area Paint overs, Portraits, 2D icons, UI reworks remaining. I thought Brian Menze is already assigned on the project. This drawing is made by him. As I remember it is for Pillars of Eternity Its not for Pillars And Brian Menze was Lead Artist on South Park. No idea what hes doing right now.
  10. Most likely they didn't forget (all of it), it's just not there yet. Doesn't mean it isn't healthy to remind.
  11. The Wasteland 2 beta is actually the metric I'm using to conclude that the game will unlikely be ready forere they are now. That said, they did add a lot of content and features during the beta period, which Obsidian won't need to do but still... That last thing is actually very much more important than you'd think.
  12. Maybe/Maybe not Low Intelligence dialogue is usually added last with dialogue itself being a thing that gets finalized very late in development. Malkavian dialogue in VTM:B for example was last minute.
  13. Probably left over/not adjusted for beta build. Both Tim Cain and Josh Sawyer are colorblind. Thats why it was on.
  14. I enjoyed what I played. (Though I'm waiting for an update at least for auto attack) It's a beta otherwise and my enjoyment is under consideration of what that means. (Very early beta at that, more or less the start of one actually) Whats good is that the actual content seems to be very good/excellent for an optional area.
  15. They don't have a choice in the matter. Josh said the game was going to be released in winter of this year because that's when the money runs out. And there we go - as I said, it's not always Josh's call. I hope for Obsidian's sake that they will do all they can to release a polished game, even if it means cutting content in order to ensure other content is complete. thats.... Not really any different than any other project? The money runs out and you (hopefully) prepare for that. Also I'm sure there's enough B-priority *Would like to have* stuff that can just not be done to compensate. I doubt anything vital gets cut that wouldn't have been cut (for whatever reason) anyway.
  16. Uhm. No? Its beta. Early beta, but Beta. Also how the hell would you make an accurate guess on how much time the game still needs? 14 years of experience in software development, 16 years of following Interplay/BIS/Obsidian games. They need more time. And I still don't get how you can make that statement. It's not like we have enough information over the projects overall situation. Or resources. For all we know their programmers might switch completly to bug-squashing in a week. Everything important seems to mechanically be in the game after all. But, ok. You're the expert. Though.... regarding 16 years of following BIS/Obsidian. You should be aware that Sawyer has a pretty good track record regarding project management (Under tight deadlines especially). I trust him.
  17. Uhm. No? Its beta. Early beta, but Beta. Also how the hell would you make an accurate guess on how much time the game still needs? Edit: Not saying they couldn't take some more time to add some things(like for more art) but, eh.
  18. A lot of these issues are with the games systems. I wouldn't rule out 2014 yet.
