  1. Well better Director of Marketing & PR. Thats the title Shane has on his profile at least.
  2. http://www.rpgnuke.ru/articles/site/del_vey/interview_rpgnuke_with_chris_avellone_eng.html
  3. And thats a fine opinion to have They do usually bring them up in updates. A dedicated tab for game related articles (Ones that are on the internet) on the site would be much better though. Looking for a certain interview is a pain as it is.
  4. I don't have anthing against the tech support questions. Its a nice thing to do and many other devs just ignore their players that way. But, I agree there could be way more on the twitter feed.
  5. Eh, yeah I'm getting waaaaaaaaay off track. I do agree there are things Obsidian could do for better community interaction (Though I'm not sure I'd want resources spent on it when the community takes care of it.), but excpecting everything to be immediatly posted here does get a kneejerk reaction from me. Because its impossible without limiting. How would you have tracked Paul and Carry gushing over their involvement on their respective blogs for example? Its not that easy to coordinate.
  6. Are you for real? Please read the whole post, before raging. No one said give no interviews, what was said is when you give those interviews give us links and of course they should be more active on their own board then somewhere else. Said interviews are posted by the respective interviewers without Obsidians involvement (And as such may differ in release even if a specific time is given). Some of them in different timezones. So, yes the community is still faster in digging those up. And Obsidian does post about them. Like the NewEgg articles where Obsidian was actually faster than the community
  7. Like I said, it's not just this. And it applies to nearly every ****ing case. I'm the guy who finds a lot of those after all.Its not some sites that get *scopes*. Its the result of information not being hidden behind ****ing NDAs. Of course someone will post some random thing about the game then when he can. And Obsidian absolutly can't update their site IMMEDIATLY. Not on a weekend, not at any moment in time. The ****ing reason we get to hear these things from other sources is people like ME who dig this **** up as fast as possible. Even if they get a dedicated Community Manager, WE WILL STILL BE FASTER. THATS NOT GOING TO ****ING CHANGE. Except if they control the distribution of said info 100%. Means we get less info, more arbitarly restricted. And is that really what you want? Dude you are looking for a confrontation when there is none. No one here said that sites are getting scoups, we said that obsidian is just telling more to the press and other boards then they do here. As for YOU being the one that finds most of the info, well I couldn't care less. I haven't seen that much from you anyways. So **** off. They don't. Obsidian still posts regulary here. More than at any other place. Theres SomethingAwful, but thats only ropekid and he has been a dedicated member for years there. Hes giving answers to questions on his own. Not in any offical Obsidian capacity. Otherwise there aren't any other boards. Brandon doesn't post anywhere else, Adam doesn't either. Otherwise do you just not want them to give interviews? Because they are kinda important. And Interviews should give new information as well after all. Otherwise people are complaining that theres no new info in x interview.
  8. And I do understand the need for a dedicated community manager. But, the reason you get a lot of information first on other sites isn't the problem. The info won't ever be always first here and its due to crazy fans like me you get it here so fast. The reason I get so agitated is because of the *Everything must also be first here*. No it doesn't. Thats a restriction.

  10. Seriously this is pissing me off. Unreasonably, but yeah. Will calm down.
  11. Because it was dug by me from the guys site who was gushing over getting the job. Why the **** shouldn't he be allowed to. Should he be advised to wait for an update? ****ing no.
  12. Seriously, we don't need this ****. Its not an AAA production where we have wait months for chewed information. It shouldn't be. Regardless if you think info should only be allowed to be posted in the updates.
  13. Problem is even if we do hear about this in the next upade, there were so many things we found out from third parties about some pretty big new info. I agree with MC, they need to step up on this front. ? Not really. The reason we hear so much stuff from third parties is simple. Obsidian doesn't do tight control of information (at least not on everything) and there are people like me (I'm Duraframe by the way) who dig it up. AND I WOULDN'T HAVE IT ANY OTHER ****ING WAY. Screw people like Paul not being able to gush over his new job. He's allowed to, wherever he wants.
  14. And we bid farewell to Austin Shannon. Austin worked from november 11 until last month at Obsidian. He worked as a Sound Designer on Soith Park and Armored Warfare.
  15. Wait, how did we get from female scale armore to the assumption that every armor in the game has boobs back in?
  16. Maybe try contacting Ubisoft instead of complaining about doomsday scenarios? I think he did, but it wasn't any help.
  17. They're been working on Cryengine 3 for nearly two years.
  18. I would still prefer 2D Art. So, I'm just the wrong person to ask here.
  19. F:NV? Also he's most likely talking about a 2D Sandbox game.
  20. http://www.computerandvideogames.com/460539/interviews/interview-obsidian-on-life-after-south-park/
  21. It is better if Obsidian petitions Square Enix. If it was that easy we would currently be waiting for Alpha Protocol 3.
  22. Don't worry Keyrock I'm on your side about this game. And I have an even simpler reason why it will be a good purchase. The game is being developed by the same company that has released arguably one of the best action RPG of all time, Dark Souls. Nuff said What? No.
  23. The press we interacted with at GDC were fun to talk to. While I had expected the Co-Op side of AW to garner attention, I'll admit I was surprised at how genuinely excited the press were about that aspect. There's a few videos being worked on right now but I don't have ETAs for their completion dates on me. I'm most excited about the armor mechanics, especially in terms of add-on armor and what it means for gameplay choices. Top 3 selling points? Hm... well, I've never been very good at marketing, but for me, I would say: it's going to be fun to play, it's going to look good, and it's going to showcase some really awesome modern armored vehicles. For me, the key to balance verses historical accuracy is that when it comes to hard stats, like projectile velocity and caliber, armor thickness, size of the vehicle, power to weight ratios, etc., we need to be as accurate as we possibly can. Balancing can be focused on areas that don't really come out of a technical manual, like how much damage a shell does to a target and other aspects that have to be quantified in terms of game mechanics. We want the game to be approachable without dumbing things down. We feel one way to handle this is to be informative to players about what the stats of their vehicles are and what the game mechanics are. We aim to communicate this information through a clear user interface and good feedback for players. The mechanics themselves can be complex as long as they're presented and explained in a way that is approachable. AW should be approachable for players who enjoy team-based strategic PVP as well as players who just like blowing things up with cannons (that's what Co-Op is for ). Being a tank enthusiast should just make it even better. We want the game to be fun for players of all skill ranges. We feel part of meeting this goal will be to provide Co-Op content aimed at players who enjoy the chance to collect and control armored vehicles but who might not find the intensity of PVP to be to their liking. There will not be Premium Ammo. There will be a range of ammo available for each vehicle based on the time period of the vehicle and the ammunition its cannons actually fired. Different shells will cost different amounts of credits while offering different advantages and disadvantages.
