  1. I am impressed but I'm also not impressed. They've managed to keep themselves afloat so far, but if their reputation keeps plummeting (Alpha Protocol was a pretty big stain on their resume... they've partially fixed that with New Vegas, but they've also cemented their reputation as a technically incompetent company, which is a very bad thing for some gamers, that just outright refuse buying Obsidian games at release now) they simply won't manage anymore. I hope they can put together another couple of successful (and possibly more polished) projects to gain stability, so that they can work in a more serene way, but ultimately, it's all up to them. (Patiently waiting for Flouride and funcroc to jump at my throat now)
  2. Game uses Steamworks, yup. As for controllers, what Tigranes said, it supports the Xbox360 controller completely.
  3. Your opinion? Enough tunnel-y for you?
  4. I don't know how work is divided at Bioware but it's believable that, if nothing else, they transferred to other teams to work on other project. That said, what matters is whether the final result is acceptable or not.
  5. Yeah, forgot to say, but watching the downloaded youtube videos I had no issues whatsoever. Guess you should thank MechanicalLemon, otherwise I'd be bashing Obsidian for not having a constant framerate on the 360.
  6. Well, you're not going to see me stop someone from hitting someone else with a shovel. Never.
  7. I'm afraid the comment from Morgoth wasn't posted on Gametrailers.
  8. Either some people are intentionally missing the point, or you have a really really weird idea of what qualifies as a protective armor. Of course D&D is D&D but come on..
  9. Uh, rewatching the gameplay montage, am I the only one that thinks "Neverwinter Nights 2" when listening to the music?
  10. Still better than the "studio behind Resident Evil: New Vegas" though.
  11. Looks like a lot of fun to play. Though, damn, Matt certainly goes over things fast for someone who's supposed to explain. Also, more worryingly, framerate didn't look so hot in those videos. I think it's one of the console versions. EDIT: Rewatching the first video I noticed that the GameTrailers lagged too, so I'm not sure anymore if it was the game's framerate or the video's.
  12. The Witcher 2 uses Securom.
  13. The final boss was bad, but are you seriously telling me you failed to do what the game prompts/tutorial told you to do?
  14. Mass Effect, having experienced both versions, was incredibly better on PC compared to the Xbox360. Only thing better in the console version is Garrus' face. Haven't experience ME2 console so I dunno the differences.
  15. Jagged Alliance: Back in Action gameplay video.
  16. Actually considering all the alternative-worlds mumbo jumbos and the thousands of "crisis" the DC universe has been through, I wouldn't be surprised if canon Batman hasn't killed anyone despite those issues in the 50s.
  17. Twitter. I think there's another contest, send a one-liner pitch for a Fallout movie. I would participate (no Twitter account, though) but I'm not sure if they send the t-shirts to people outside of the US, not to mention that I'm kinda unconvinced by Twitter's privacy settings.
  18. What happened to the pre-order offer? DSI and II aren't available from the DSIII page anymore.
  19. I appreciate that Nightshape wants to share insights from the other side of the industry. That said, I would prefer if argument were made clearly and not on a vague basis, and I'd generally prefer to talk about certain subjects with people whose field is that subject. Ergo, a programmer that talks about design and art direction doesn't necessarily offer the most insightful point of view, though he probably has more of an insight than a consumer (and of course, he will also come with an additional bag of biases).
  20. Google translation on a German article that details the character system and all the talents you can get.
  21. As far as I remember, The Wolourn, often express discontent with just about everything in The Witcher 1. Bad combat, bad story, bad writing, something along those lines. Maybe he still enjoyed the art direction?
  22. Would be interesting to know who's who. Still, I hope this is a success, and hopefully, that some photos end up online, since I obviously am not able to go.
