  1. Redeemed my free game. Now, jeez, I'll have to decide what to use the store credit for. EDIT: Fallout Tactics and Icewind Dale. Jeez, more games in MAH BACKLOG.
  2. I think there are going to be language packs available day one anyway. I don't know if the version you download defaults in your language or English.
  3. The pre-purchase and pre-load are live
  4. Still no preload as of now. According to Hooked Gamers the game has leaked, but I'm not clear how it happened (since the preload doesn't download all the game and even retail copies, as far as I understand, require a little download to play) and the footage they claim comes from a pirate it's pretty obviously the promotional footage released so far.
  5. Good to know, I wasn't aware of that. EDIT: Pre-download out in a hour or two. Guess I won't be able to pre-download until I come back from university.
  6. That's just his natural hair color. He's just 25.
  7. Speaking about Brink's release/review, here's what Ars Technica had to say.
  8. It's 16gb. EDIT: Well, the entire game download anyway. EDIT2: Uhm, I think there's a chance that poster on GOG got it wrong, but unfortunately tracking the original post from a developer is being difficult. Basically what I got is that the game will be released on 1300 Polish time, but I think Poland is actually in DST right now so it would be actually GMT+2? That would mean it's only roughly 3 hours from now. Maybe someone Polish (like Ausir) can confirm? Of course, this is just based on the fact that they'd let you preload at the same time TW1 was released on GOG (it was released early due to a mistake) so.. Meh. Wouldn't have minded some clearer info/communication from GOG. Sometimes they can still be rather pedestrian.
  9. To be perfectly honest, some of the fears seemed pretty unwarranted to me. It's almost a given that if they said that characters will be saved on the host game, their gear and abilities will be saved too.
  10. SA poster on this: So, as always, for those who are unsure and waiting for review, wait at least until the release date, so you can get a more complete (and less inherently biased) overview. Personally, I already know what I'm looking for in the game, and Buck review reassured me that, yeah, I'll find it there. So pre-buying it today as soon as it unlocks. Btw, post contains also a more complete summary of that review, in case you're still interested in it. Play time is apparently 24 hours and there are 3 acts + prologue and epilogue. I see it as a good thing, considering that I'm replaying the original to have a save game available for the sequel, and it's really starting to drag in Act IV... EDIT @Tigranes: According to a poster on the GOG forums, releases on GOG are on 1300 GMT+1, which would be roughly.. 4 hours from now? You'll probably have to pre-buy/pre-load it tomorrow.
  11. No, there are a lot of videos with noticeable slowdowns in action scenes, and none of the previews so far as hinted at someone running it at 60 fps without dips. Granted, honestly, considering how good it looks, not-optimal performance, as long as not bad, would be okay by me, but that's probably just because the original game makes me expect the worst.
  12. Me. And I think I'll go with Divine Divinity myself.. I was a little undecided between that and Realms of Arkania but my sight problems make me a little wary of Dosbox games.
  13. Yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss. Wonder why they consider Dead Money a special case though. Maybe it wasn't the original intention for the DLCs but they changed it after the feedback? Who knows.
  14. A bazillion of screenshots from the preview version on Ripten. Preview and from VE3D. I don't understand why games that rely pretty heavily on dialogue can put in facial animations that look so bad. First Dungeon Siege III, now this... EDIT: Ah, and of course, every single game Bethesda has ever released. EDIT 2: Some screenshots are NSFW. Since there's 250 of them, not posting them just because of a handful in the second page seemed a little ridiculous to me, but feel free to edit my post and remove the link to the gallery.
  15. Apparently some comics . Some info from a Bioware thread, gathered by GameBanshee:
  16. I suppose structurally? Mass Effect 2 had a very barebones story with a couple of setpieces and relied mostly on the characters' individual arcs. Mass Effect instead had a progression where every mission theoretically added something to the main story.
  17. Do I have to change my avatar back to the Comic Book Guy? No, but you should post a Haters gonna hate pic, just to keep up appearances. Roger.
  18. NeoGAF has some details from a PC Gamer preview (no link to the original source since it has scans and I'm too lazy to search it myself anyway): Leaving aside the fact that I think the overarching plot of Mass Effect has always been pretty worthless and got worse with every iteration, I think this could be good. Not expecting a "full-blooded RPG", but it really sounds like they nailed the combat and judging by ME2, characterization and individual plot arcs could also be pretty good. Sorry if it's already been posted.
  19. Do I have to change my avatar back to the Comic Book Guy?
  20. Very short snippets of footage from Old World Blues and Honest Hearts. Source: NMA
  21. This is happening. Come on, Fearg, send those revisions.
  22. Could have used some more gameplay. Really digging the variety in environments and monsters though.
  23. That's some creepy marketing, all I have to say. Also, I'm pretty sure Tigs and the mods crew don't appreciate boobies in a supposedly family friendly forum.
