  1. That was known since forever.
  2. Yeah, but that's the only version without DRM.
  3. The game DOES have Securom, it's just that Steam version uses Steam DRM. I don't see what's so weird about people being concerned about the Steam version using Securom too, it wouldn't be the first title doing it.
  4. It's definitely improved. I found myself experimenting with all signs (which are available since the beginning) which has made combat considerably more fun. It's also much much harder. But I haven't even finished the prologue yet. Btw, game runs pretty smooth, though I'm running a custom configuration which is closer to high than Ultra. Not that I care, most of the bells and whistles they threw in IMHO make the game uglier.
  5. Tell us about that. Now. Save system is extremely stupid (you can't choose to override an old save, it automatically creates a new one). Tutorials are bare-bones and badly realized. Opening is generally too difficult, it doesn't give you the time to get accustomed to the new controls and combat system. I mean, it works story-wise, but gameplay-wise it's.. well, imho it's not the right pacing, but some of you will probably enjoy it. People who didn't like rhythm-based combat system probably won't like this one since it's still rhythm-based for the most part, screw the timing and say bye bye to your chains of attacks. Also, I haven't seen that much mixing between strong and fast attacks, but I'm really just at the beginning. Gotta say, it's a much better iteration compared to the original one, tho'. The game is gorgeous though, the writing is, for the most part, well-done (much more character to people compared to The Witcher 1) and it's been a lot of fun so far.
  6. Uhm. There's a lot they've done right so far and a LOT they've done wrong. I'm talking about things they did right in the first game, go figure. Will elaborate on this for those who're still on the fence a little later.
  7. What's "SSAO" and "Vignette" supposed to do? Screen Space Ambient Occlusion and I imagine vignette is this. P.S. : Game is still letterboxed on 16:10 right?
  8. Installing it.
  9. You just have to wait until 0700 GMT anyway.
  10. Yeah. Don't worry though, they don't really spoil anything of the story anyway. And they don't have anything to say either, they just talk because.. they like talking. Really, why the **** where they comparing it to Oblivion in the first place? "Well.. it's not Oblivion". No ****, Sherlock. Italian gaming journalism is generally not that better than its English cousin.
  11. The stream I was talking about a couple of days ago. There are some sections that haven't been shown before, like fighting in the swamps and a boss. Also, it appears that the level of difficult they're playing at is "casual" (the easy setting).
  12. No idea what this preview says, but there are some screenies in it. Mouse pointer seems different from the PC Gamer hands-on/PC Games video.. another build? No idea why but the screenies are super compressed and full of artifacts =/
  13. Reminds me of a mix between The Dark Knight Returns and Batman Beyond. Steam announces Daily Deals. Good Lord, they want all of your money. ALL OF IT.
  14. Bumping because one day... one day... one day..
  15. VG247 has a more comprehensive round-up of the reviews, in case you're interested. EDIT: L.A. Noire DLC revealed?
  16. In one of their press conferences CD Projekt Red's PR guy showed a screenie where the game was using all 6(? don't recall how many) cores of the playing rig's processor. Not definitive, but certainly gives hope.
  17. Knowing this forum's stance on reviews I doubt people will be too interested but reviews for the game have started coming out. Eurogamer 8/10 G4TV 5/5 Gamespot 9.0 Editor's Choice Destructoid 9.0 Editor's Choice
  18. You mean romances? That would be a deal breaker for a sizeable part of their public, the part that is too ashamed to play dating sims (or wants them to have compelling action-y gameplay).
  19. Wow, it took them 2 games to make him gay. I gotta commend them on their self control, as i'm sure that the Phoenix armor was scrapped from an earlier gayer design and they are only making Shepard as the writers intended on the first place. Really BW is taking this gay friendly thing a bit too far. Shepard is only gay if you play it like that? I'm not really seeing the problem. I could even play the devil's advocate and say that the straight-friendly content went too far already. P.S. : Not surprised that people didn't complain when FemShep was lesbian.
  20. Seems likely based on that preview, but then again, AFAIK, preview code that was sent by the publisher was before Obsidian did a polish pass on the PC controls, so it's all very likely to change. Doubt they'd remove the option, tho'.
  21. Guy on NeoGAF posted snippets from Euro mags reviews:
  22. This preview also tackles PC controls, but they don't seem to mind that much. Also, WASD seems to be in, which honestly, if true, is a godsent for me.
  23. From a Casey Hudson's tweet:
  24. They mostly complain about the game's lack of customization, they didn't really like the characters, button mashing, characters' playstyles too similar.. but game has a lot of potential. I dunno, the conclusion kinda came out of nowhere and seemed to contradict the tone of most of the preview. EDIT: Also, co-op camera complaints.
  25. Descendant, I think. Dungeon Siege III takes place 150 years after Dungeon Siege after all. EDIT: Posted in another topic, I guess I can post it here too Italian videopreview of the game. Footage is from the PS3 version as if the button prompts and the fact that it's written there didn't make it obvious enough.
