  1. That video was a live stream and I don't think they put it online after the stream unfortunately. I found this though. Seems to run pretty smooth, to me, but see and judge for yourself.
  2. Seems to run pretty well on the Xbox360, though of course, the engine is only part of why the game runs well or not. I've seen some footage of the PS3 version on an Italian website live.. not sure if they'll put a non-live version of that footage though. It seemed to run well enough, but it's VERY difficult to judge framerate and performance from a stream (it wasn't that high quality either). Don't really know much more than this, sorry.
  3. You're highlighting exactly why the mechanic is good: it encourages you adapting to the situation and playing better instead of, you know, not playing. Because that's what you do when you retreat and stay in a spot waiting for your health to regenerate. You don't do nothing at all. There's nothing tactical about that. It's cheap. You enjoy it? Fine. But don't sell it to me as good design, there's a reason Blizzard move away from it (and action games don't use it in the first place).
  4. I'm glad they didn't put a regenerating mana pool in. Retreating and waiting in a spot for your mana to be replenished is something that shouldn't be allowed, never mind encouraged in a 2011 game. Of course, your opinion may vary, but yeah, I have no complaints on that or the removal or potions. Haven't played Dungeon Siege 2 so I don't know about the complexities of the system but I haven't really heard many good things on it (most people seem to have been turned off by the first one though, so go figure if they're just biased or not).
  5. The IGN preview also complained about the camera and Obsidian has a really horrible track record on it so far (pretty much every game where they did the camera themselves, rather than just taking an already done implementation, had a bad camera). Hopefully it will be fixed before release, considering that I haven't heard complaints about bugs so far and a couple of previews have actually been positively surprised about the polish of the game (mostly Italian previews, but still).
  6. If Bioware did it they'd talk about it as part of project 10 dollars. After all, you have to be registered to download the DLC (and patches).
  7. "How To Kill A Witcher" shows combat and some finishers. No spoilers. It's also very funny. "Witcher's World" has some information on the four kings of the game. It also covers why TW2 begins the way it does. If you've read any number of the previews that have been out, you won't be spoiled in the slightest. Do avoid the first three videos though. There's a lot of new footage that is truly spoiler-worthy. Glorious, but spoiler-worthy. Thanks!
  8. Is there any of those trailers that doesn't abound in spoilers? I'd like to keep myself spoiler free for when my preload gets unlocked.
  9. Games.on.net has bad news for those of you who are looking forward to the game's story and dialogues: IGN Video preview I think Squenix's goal is to ship 1 million copies, though, isn't it? So they probably are not really seeing Dungeon Siege III as a super blockbuster either. Hopefully they'll meet their goals, Obsidian will fix the camera issues before release, and everyone will be happy and a sparkle of hope will rekindle in my hardened gamer's heart.
  10. I don't see how the game can work with a point and click system going by all the footage I've seen so far. Hoping to be pleasantly surprised, but not holding my breath.
  11. This is the first time I've seen Torment criticized for its art direction. I'm.. rather confused.
  12. It started. They can't test co-op because they have PS3 preview code and it relies on PSN, they're confused about how it works anyway. They also say that the game is challenging even on Easy. EDIT: Jesus Christ, the guy is using the same stance ALL THE TIME. I hate him. EDIT 2: They said that it's less of an RPG than DS2. Rage Obsidian forums! They seem to appreciate the mechanics though "it's not banal at all". EDIT 3: Finished. Would have preferred if the guy who was playing was the only one who talked. The other guys kept going like "uhm, not much environment interaction, it's not Oblivion or Skyrim though, is it?" which was idiotic to a degree that I can't even. PS3 version doesn't look too hot, though from a stream it's incredibly difficult (and probably pointless) to comment on framerate. There seemed to be next to no bugs, which is promising, and a good wealth of dialogues. Still, if you dislike ARPGs, this won't change your mind from what I've seen.
  13. Its 17:04 GMT+2 but I'm still seeing the Brink Footage. Nope? It's 16:39 GMT+2 right now. Check here.
  14. Multiplayer.it should show their game on their "superdiretta" at 1700 GMT+2. Apparently the Ustream only supports 5000 people watching at the same time, so be warned.
  15. S'alright, don't worry, happens to everyone. Glad it hasn't been leaked, though, despite what qualms I may have with their marketing strategies and the fact they didn't maintain all their promises about The Witcher 2's DRM-free stance, if there's a company that doesn't deserve that (not that there is on that does, but still, you get what I'm saying) it's CDPR.
  16. Is there any link/story I can read about that, or it's just on the torrent sites? Because I'm sure as hell not going to even just open them.
  17. Risen 2 new screenshots.
  18. Whether Obsidian has 50 or 200 employees, that trailer looked good. Like, very good. Honest Hearts is shaping up to be exactly what I want it to be.
  19. Thanks for the link! Will try it.
  20. I get the feeling you haven't read what I wrote? You can already see that info if you check the source (or, in Gmail's case you can simply choose the "the text of this mail is garbled" or a similarly worded option to see the text version).
  21. I assume you received the html email? That one is borked, you have to check the source and grab the links from there. Text emails are fine. They'll send the mails again tomorrow anyway. Source
  22. Never tried downloading anything with FDM (from any website). Care to link me to it?
  23. The new GOG downloader is pretty damn decent by the way. It goes roughly as fast as Steam on my rig, but my connection isn't wicked cool. Not at all.
  24. I watched a gameplay video and it seemed already dated before release. Don't really mind graphics being dated, but the camera really sucked and the gameplay looked pretty.. boring and dull? Glad to know you're enjoying it, though.
