  1. We can do it in a thread dedicated to QTE. Sorry, but I can't help but notice that, depending on the company, some people here are far more willing to excuse bad design/presentation, in one direction or another. Luckily, The Witcher 2's presentation is spectacular. The gameplay? Not so much. Plays like a clunky action-adventure.
  2. New detailed preview (translated from German to English, kinda wonky but it's not difficult to understand the meaning)
  3. Wow. I'm terrified. You guys are ready to justify QTE when it comes to CD Projekt.
  4. I love it as well, but the game also has it's annoying flaws. Btw. once again I couldn't beat Letho and had to switch to easy-mode. He is just crushing me with his ninja speed and signs, regardless of what I've tried. As soon as he is using Quen once, I am as good as dead. Everything else in chapter 1 was no problem. Really annoying. Aard + fast, fast, slow. Do that and he's piss easy.
  5. No, it's not been released. Its release date is Tuesday in NA.
  6. It's even more annoying to have to fight with some other character. In an RPG. A single character RPG. With abilities and style that are not yours. CD Projekt just a question.. why?
  7. That's just "cinematic" gameplay. There's too much of it, and all of it is bad, though. Damn CD Projekt, there's so many good things in this game.. why have you decided to put just as many hilariously bad things into it too?
  8. Italia is among the unfortunate, I heard? It sure is! A download-only console from Microsoft would mean boosting Sony sales here.
  9. Ahahahaha no. Maybe certain parts of the EU, sure, but Europe as a whole? Not at all.
  10. Note that they use "high profile" not "AAA". Could that mean that it's actually the brand being high profile, and the game is some kind of spin-off? Some of the things speculated like Might & Magic and Deus Ex could lend themselves fairly well to a cellphone/handhelds RPG spin-off. But at this point, it's really just speculation. The only thing I would be reasonably sure is that it's not a triple A, high-budget game.. just can't see it in 2D. Might just be biased though!
  11. Soooo.. what is it that Obsidz are working on that is highly stylized and high profile?
  12. The commonly accepted spelling for that is "primadonna". Unless you're going after a pre-Mother of God angle here? That would be Pre-Madonna.
  13. I'll join when I get the game.. how soon that will happen depends on the demo.
  14. Seeing the pre-released ranting about MotB after having experienced it more than once and enjoyed the hell out of it.. well, it's kinda educational.
  15. Most likely Mass Effect, actually. Also, SEGA did complain about the game not being enough of an RPG in a leaked internal review of an early build, so it's not as much of a surprise as it may seem now. There sure has been a fallout in the SEGA-Obsidian relationship though, considering how readily they're politely throwing the hot potato at each other even a year after release.
  16. ? Is there a problem with the review code? Because there are sure as hell different armors. I think there are different types of armors and not every single armor is different looking. Not sure what they were expecting though, it's almost impossible to make every single piece of armor/item unique for a loot-heavy game. I guess they could've randomized them some more, but it probably fell out of the scope of the project.
  17. IGN preview Still definitely not interested but I figure someone might be.
  18. One of the scandinavian game journalists on the Deus Ex HR forums made some off hand comment about a preivew of DS3 and how it seemed okay but had the typical bad Obsidian camera angles... Most of the complaints seem about co-op camera and I can definitely seen where they're coming from judging from what I've seen in the French videos Sannom has posted in the DS3 forum. Still, the game seemed fun enough that I don't think I'd really mind.
  19. I'm not really sure why you guys want Obsidian to fall back on technology that would cause them to have the same problems they had until now with things like tracking bugs, etc. Obsidian right now should work on Onyx and Onyx only unless they get to do another slam-dunk F:NV style.
  20. The Witcher 2 has some pretty noticeable pop-in and pop-out on all but the highest settings in my experience. Plus, TW2 was rumored since the beginning to be a multi-platform title, and there's a lot of evidence that the game has been designed to be easily portable to consoles. They did a nicer PC version than most though.
  21. No, it's just VG247 that isn't up to date:
  22. Because it's the only way to preserve the fact that it's a console version of The Witcher 2? Otherwise they'd just be saying "The Witcher 2 coming to consoles!... we'll announce it at E3" which is a bit counterintuitive considering it's.. an announcement.
  23. The first dialogue skill check is always random, from what I gather. When you start getting points then the skill influences the outcome I presume, but it's not really clear if there are different difficulty checks or whatever. It's still a step up from not having dialogue skills at all like in The Witcher.
