DSIII at PAX East 2011
I like Lucas more than Anjali from the Voice Acting. I don't know it just really fits the lines. Edit: Or do you mean how their personality sounds? I don't know. Lucas sounds very involved in the plot and he could be a rather standard but very well written charachter. Gameplay (though I suppose meele could still be fun, it just doesn't sound as interesting as playing an "explosive and guns" character or a "slash and then turn into a fire elemental" one) and story-wise (kind-hearted heir to the Legion.. though at least his dialogue as a companion with Anjali near the Heart of Nagog made him look more intelligent than most of the type).

Basically everyone except Lucas sounds very interesting. Poor Lucas.

Steam version
So basically, people suspected this so far and I think we already had some info pointing to that, but now Nathaniel Chapman confirmed it: Dungeon Siege III uses Steamworks on PC. ...on Something Awful. Really?

Working hard on the DLC, Chris?

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
Animations look impressive, most RPGs have very clunky animations. Also combat does look fun but I don't know.. I guess I have Risen 2 and Skyrim already, so I may as well give this a try.

Dragon Age 2
The most condescending developer I've ever seen, that's for sure.

F:NV creative lead John Gonzalez leaving Obsidian
Mostly his background :face scarred but not in game, either a great tribal warrior or a Legionnaire from 12, the way Caesar describes it and the way he talks don't seem to match perfectly.. you could reconcile all of this, no doubt, but the presentation felt a bit jarring. I admit though, I probably overreacted by defining him as "terribly" inconsistent. Yeah, I'm fairly sure he wrote the main storyline (though with some input from Josh, as far as I understand, who wanted some things to be put in the game, like Caesar referring to Hegelian dialectics). Also, Mr. House, Benny and Victor are all excellently written characters, so I admit, I may have been a little too quick calling him off.

F:NV creative lead John Gonzalez leaving Obsidian
I wish him all the best. As Creative Director for the game, he had a hand in the main story (could have been better but fits the Fallout structure) and some characters and that's it? I think he's written Caesar and maybe part f the Legate dialogue with Avellone? (Terribly inconsistent character by the way) I got to say, he didn't seemed to be one of Obsidian's aces to me, but I'm afraid of being a little too dismissive.

Mass Effect 3
I like Kotor2 a lot but I think that the whole "shades of grey" thing was a bad decision. It really doesn't fit the universe and Kotor2 feels, at times, like it's set in another setting despite the aesthetic and all the lore. Still, it's a very good game.

I love how they go all "our sources say it's not an exclusive for Xbox360 anymore" when it's already been confirmed. Quality journalism.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS THREAD!
Yes and no. It's really weird that a company that has a fairly successful title under their belt that looks very bad (Fallout: New Vegas) would say that, but then again, it's a title that has special circumstances surrounding it (a strong brand, fairly quick sequel to a very very successful title, etc.). That said, it's not like that for every kind of game, but it certainly is like that for THEIR game since they tout "immersion" as the most important feature.

GameBanshee preview and interview
New IGN PC Preview that reads like a summary. They keep saying that you can't save progress in every multiplayer mode which contradicts the Destructoid article. PR department really REALLY should start to clarify things, considering one of the game's main selling points is multiplayer...
