  1. Wasn't Slam Dunk the word for a quick deal with a short dev time and almost guaranteed success? Or, in other words, something about they complained a lot the times I visited the Codex?
  2. If the comments will make me believe that it's not buggy as hell and that is longer than 30 minutes I may think of buying it. Otherwise a cool idea that will stay on virtual shelves.
  3. Sounds like a normal shooter to me. Very polished and with awesome graphics (though we still have to see if they're optimized decently). The setting doesn't seem particularly impressive, it lacks personality from what I've seen, but if the shooter gameplay is fun enough I may even think of buying it.
  4. Quintorigo - Kristo S
  5. "I have finished the game with seven different ending already and still haven't seen them all." A promising comment.... he's finished the game with seven endings? He has time to finish the game with seven endings??!! Wow, if only translation were done with the same dedication here in Italy...
  6. I'd suggest waiting until the game is out since the information in previews can be misleading, as you surely already know working on the Fallout wiki and having seen first-hand how badly previewers can screw up with the Fallout 3 and New Vegas previews.
  7. Assuming that fans of the game would come here, considering the AP site links to an internal SEGA forum.
  8. Comparisons to Mass Effect are fine. It's reducing it to 'Mass Effect with spies' that's a bit jarring, since there are a number of key design decisions that set the two games apart. I'm not saying, Alpha Protocol is doing it better, mind you, simply, it's doing it much more differently than people give it credit for.
  9. I think that there's a thin line that separates half-assed implemented elements and element that are sub-par but fine in the context of certain games. Though I agree that JNPCS in Fallout sucked (not because they were underdeveloped though, but because they were a pain to use, simply).
  10. Another New Vegas preview. Another video interview to our favourite cancelled projects director Josh Sawer. And a couple of questions, dubbed in a rather generous way 'interview', to Chris Avellone. Cute how in the first preview they always refer to Fallout 3 as 'the original', almost as if it didn't have a 3 in its name.
  11. Interesting stuff, the ability sound balanced, but I can't really say untill I've played the game. The stealth standard setup sounds stupid IMHO, I really can't see any reason to take ranks in CQC with a stealth character, unless they're needed for a silent takedown.
  12. Uhm, what exactly the numbers mean anyway? The trailer is cool though. Even if the engine isn't exactly incredibly shiny it seems they've also took a lot of time to make sure the environments have personality, I applaud the effort.
  13. Pretty much what the location says, Italy.
  14. If you do a very action-y character yep, there will be similarities, but there are quite a lot different design decisions that make the game stand on its own from what we've seen : no companions, a lot of stealth mechanics and gadget that should make the gameplay much more varied, dramatically different story structure, non repeteable dialogues etc. It certainly is the game that most resembles AP on the market right now, though, if it were me, I'd describe AP as a mix of ME and Deus Ex with a modern realistic spy setting.
  15. Lol for the Vanquish screenshots.
  16. And apparently we have a dwarf warrior too. We still don't know if he's sane though. @Blank : I'll try to come up with a decently written backstory this week (I already have most of the backstory in mind, the problem is writing it in comprehensible english ), if I don't manage to send it to you this week it'll be early next week.
  17. Seems that Two Worlds 2 will come out September 14th (but you know, there's always the possibility they delay it ). Since I haven't played the first game (it seemed like an Oblivion clone at the time and the comments and reviews just cemented my bad opinion of it), how about telling me why I should buy the second? Any interesting news in the previews? Like, you know, decent world-building, deep combat system etc.?
  18. Will there be twist we won't be able to uncover because of our.. *takes a deep breath* CHOICES ? *wink wink*
  19. To be honest if I were you I'd wait 'till the game has come out and read comments here and there. After all, I don't think anyone will be angry with you if you take the cautious approach.
  20. I'd go there for a trip, sure, but I don't really know what to think about their society. As for tentacles, though, there's some pretty disgusting western comic porn out there that gets a pass because it's not as iconic as japan's raep-tentacles, so.... yeah.
  21. To be honest my point was mainly about the writing.. though voice acting can undermine it/underline it I don't feel you should confuse between them. Though my real complaint about the VA we've heard it's that's a bit too lifeless.
  22. Cool to see that Games on Net thinks that inXile is developing the game rather than Obsidian. Jason Anderson is probably in the dev team too!
  23. Chris doesn't of course, and approaches the super mutant camp, taking a route that seems to have been carved into the ground just for stealthy players to enjoy. "We tried to make sure with our level design that we included stealth paths that go into all locations so sneaky characters feel special and can take advantage of the lack of security in some areas," he says. From the VideoGamer.com preview. It's nice to see that the stealth path has been given attention, hopefully working on Alpha Protocol has given Obsidian some experience in this regard.
  24. Do we know who the western developer is or they're keeping that under wraps too?
  25. Nah it's ok. Let's go with you carrying me after lunch. As long as you're comfortable about staying in my backpack near a gas trap and a bandit's severed head, no problem for me.
