  1. It is difficult to choose, because I love all of these games. Except for NWN 2, perhaps, still didn't manage to finish it.
  2. If the game will be powered by Onyx Engine like Dungeon Siege 3, then you will probably can zoom and rotate the camera. Or maybe it will be like in Diablo 3, where you can zoom to see your character, but don't able to rotate the camera. Personally, I'm hoping for the last option.
  3. I've changed my opinion on Steam, when I woke up tomorrow morning and turned my PC on. And this is why http://forums.2kgames.com/showthread.php?135486-Russian-Lockdown If you don't live in North America, stay away from this service.
  4. Yay! So now we know what to expect. I didn't play Morrowind much, but like Soule's music too.
  5. They were playing safe, I think, and didn't expect that the initial goal will be reached in 24 hours or so.
  6. And one day Valve will change it's policy and require additional payments (monthly fee) for all your games, and You will have to agree or Steam will delete your account. This is actually possible due to their regulations. That is why I prefer GOG, their licence agreement is just fair. Don't say that will never happen because gamers already had to resign from their right of reselling games due to Steam policy... this is a matter of time. I find this very unlikely, but if this happen, then I will rage for a while, create a thread on RPG Codex (or post in the existing one) and switch back to pirating games, as I used to when I was a poor college student... Also, I still have my boxed copies of favourite games that I bought on eBay.
  7. Neither of them. Make a new game instead! Like Icewind Dale, for example. Actually, it was just a big expansion pack.
  8. I have bought most of my games on Steam and I have nothing against it. If Obsidian will decide to release Eternity on Steam, fine. If they will make it DRM-free, why not? It seems that a lot of people want it, and they have their reasons. I would rather download the game directly from Obsidian though, not from GOG.
  9. This is a good point. I always play games in English and don't use translations, even if they are good (which is very rare). And why should I do such a thing? My English is far from perfect, but I can understand most the puns and enjoy the game. Especially after playing dozens of games in English since my childhood. Puns and pop-culture references are tricky to translate too.
  10. As far as I remember, elves and dwarves are originally part of the German/Nordic mythology. Somebody mentioned back then that the world of Eternity could be based on Celtic mythology, it would be pretty cool actually. I think that Obsidian will take the safest route though and use the traditional fantasy races, adding some interesting twists to them as Black Isle did in PS:T.
  11. Tropes, cliches and stereotypes are bad, but I also won't be really happy if I couldn't play as a stealthy rogue with a bow or a pair of magical daggers.
  12. I didn't hesitate for moment and donated as much as I can. It is funny to see people thanking Obsidian for taking their money, and it is even funnier that all of us know that Obsidian won't disappoint and deliver the game that we really want. We have to wait for more than year though ((((
  13. This is probably a new RPG in an original fantasy setting, and Sawyer is a project director (the mysterious words sound like something he would come up with). Probably I am totally wrong and this is a browser game)
  14. I don't care about rewards and donated just $15. Let's hope it will be a great game. If not, I will lose almost nothing.
  15. I'm not sure about this. Can InXile create something actually good on par with original Wasteland? I didn't play their new games, so I don't know what are they capable of. Mark Morgan is good news though.
  16. I am not even sure what I want more, Planescape Torment 2 in space or Arcanum 2 in 3D. More seriously, I would love to play any new RPG, developed by Obsidian - if it is PC friendly.
  17. I'll just leave it here and leave this forum for good. Obsidian is truly dead, it's obvious.
  18. So Stalker is already an old game... What about Torment then?
  19. Wow I didn't know there were screenshots of the original Black Hound! And it looks much better than the NWN2 engine
  20. So the last hope of having Mark Morgan as a composer is now officially dead. But as long as I can turn the music off I don't really care.
  21. Arcanum, Gabriel Knight and no Planescape: Torment. I'm disappointed.
