I agree that going out into the world for the first time in Fallout 3 ranks as one of the most memorable scenes from any Fallout game. Seeing the new, reborn wasteland in 3D after ten years of hiatus made it even more exciting. And also, the knowledge that everything you saw in front of you were open for exploration.. powerful. I had this feeling of, "They've done it", as in they've actually managed to revive the brand and transform it into a modern format. Of course, the game had a few flaws that I didn't know about then, but that moment was great.

I have found a place close to where I work with a buffet for 80 SEK (which is cheap here). The problem with this buffet is that it's delicious. Every dish they make is fantastic, no matter if it is fish based, chicken, beef, whatever. They must have the best chef ever to be able to produce such quantities and of such high quality. The buffet also includes a dessert buffet. Yes, you can also eat as many cookies, puddings, icecream, cakes, etc., as you want. And after that there's a fruit buffet.. I can barely fit in my jeans anymore.

Oohh, what a great lay-up for more Gothic preaching! In Gothic you play an unknown dude who gets thrown in jail for an unknown reason (you never find out if he is guilty or not either), and your only goal is to break out of jail. That you happen to overthrow an evil demon in the process is a mere side effect of your escape plan. You are never the chosen one, never a "scion of god" (eww!), you're just a petty, nameless criminal. I love that. I actually prefer these more personal stories. I am SO SICKKKKKK of playing the Chosen One!!
