  1. I thought the combat leading up the Black Mountain was the most fun combat in the game. I have no clue as to why you'd want to avoid that. It even had a run-from-a-huge-rolling-boulder-like-Indiana-Jones moment.

I don't know if it's funny or sad that noone in this thread (or almost anywhere else on the internet for that matter) even bothers to ask the question: what does North Korea have to gain from sinking a boat and shooting at an island? If you can come up with a reason that's not the common American answer to everything (they are eeeevul), then please share. If not, then maybe we can at least agree that there is more to this than "North Korea = bad = nuke them hurr durr". For example, noone finds it strange that South Korea and the US are having a huge military operation right along the border to North Korea as we speak? I do not believe there is an evil entity called North Korea. There are 25 million people, individuals, living there, and the change has to come from them. Bombing their government back to the stone age solves nothing, we have seen that time and time again.
  3. I reviewed Bloodrayne back in the day. I think I gave it 8/10..

    As long as it takes.
  5. I hated Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, but then again.. that's exactly what I did. I mean, you could not swing a dead cat without hitting a ledge full of deadly barrels, a wall full of spikes, an orc balancing on the edge of a bottomless pit, etc. The game never felt clever or made you feel clever for finding ways of using your surroundings. No, instead if threw everything in your face and basically forced you to kick people into spikes. I mean, the choice was between sluggish melee combat with a chance of dying after three minutes of struggling, or just push the win-button for an instant kill.

Can't do that, Krez. Not without a UN resolution. Because we all know that the UN is a pure and noble institution and would never haver over such an important issue. There isn't a problem that more bombs won't solve, huh? Just look at Afghanistan! No, wait.. Just look at Iraq! No, wait.. Oh, right. Why spend time and resources trying to actually solve the problem when you can just bomb ****?
  7. Well, seeing as Norway smells like fish, Denmark is just a puny island below our glorious nation and Finland isn't even in Scandinavia (damn semi-Russians), Sweden is the place to go. Stockholm in the summer is very nice. We definitely have the hottest blondes.
  8. Oh, and I forgot to mention that I found a new unique weapon last night (well, new to me, who doesn't abuse the GECK to find every weapon in the game): some sort of named lead pipe that I found in a locked part of the sewers. Strangely enough I had never actually spent any time exploring the sewers in my two previous playthroughs. Are there no quests that require you to enter the sewers at some point? They do seem heavily underused.
  9. I restarted the game last night (again) after completing it in a hurry with my melee weapons girl. This time I'm going with a heavy handed fistfighter, with extra cheese. I went straight to Novac (at level 1), picked up Boone, made my way north past Vegas and entered the Red something cave where I know exactly where the Pushy is. So at level 3 or so I have one of (if not the) best melee weapons in the game, with 50-60 unarmed and 9 strength. So naturally I enter Vegas, gamble until I have some money and go to the doctor and buy myself 10 strength and better damage threshold. I AM INVINCIBLE This is the first time I've picked up Boone and I must say I have a hard time understanding LadyCrimson's schoolgirl crush on him. He doesn't actually say anything other than "He got away" (or something to that effect) over and over and he keeps killing my enemies before I can even run up to them and slug them with my fists. It's annoying. I was thinking of joining up with the Legion this time, but maybe Boone isn't the best choice for that faction..
  10. Yeah.. And the console crowd thinks we "PC elitists" are being stupid when we whine about games being more and more dumbed down. Thank god there are still sadistic GRPG's around.
  11. I'm so glad I've been able to enjoy my time in Fallout: New Vegas mostly without bu-HEY WHAT'S THIS DOOR Is that a 'bug' or a feature? I'm not sure.
  12. I thought it would never end! The Shadow Fist 29% Strength, 5% Bloodlust, 10% Intelligence, 19% Spirit, 33% Vitality and 67% Agility! Combining incredible martial arts skills along with their stealth, Shadow Fists make deadly adversaries. Swiftly and easily locating the pressure points of their opponents, Shadow Fists are able to take down opponents of deadly strength and ferocity. By literally imbuing their fists with shadows using dark magic, they strike fear and horror into all who stand before them. Although they use dark magic, they are not necessarily evil, and even though their darkness is often misconstrued as evil, they may be seen using their powers for good. Congratulations on reaching this high class! --- Well, at least it resembles the characters I usually play in fantasy RPG's.
  13. Isn't Australia the country where every second game becomes banned? How many nipples do you see in American games? Try finding a game where you can hurt children in Germany. --- Media loves painting China as a super-oppressed country where you can't do anything out of fear of the government. But I have a friend who moved there two years ago and what he is telling me does not reflect this at all. The common Chinese person has the exact same worries and problems as the rest of us, no more no less. They worry about the economy, they think their country is the best in the world and they cheer their favourite sports team. Just like everyone else.
  14. I bet China are less democratic than Iraq and commit more human rights crime. Oh, and they sure as hell have a lot more WMD's than Iraq (seeing as they had none). Why aren't the US trying to bomb China? A bit easier to bomb tiny Vietnam, Iraq and Grenada, huh?
  15. That area where you start on top of the roof of a huge building, with lots of robots patrolling the yard underneath is definitely not a corridor (but a sniper's heaven). Paris wasn't a corridor either. Damn, that is a great game. Wish it worked on my Win 7 machine.
  16. I have 100 melee, using some sort of reinforced combat armour, a fully repaired Knock-Knock and I still have problems with deathclaws. It's their reach that kills me. I rush them, get in one or two hits and then they swing their long arms and push me away. I have some perk that sometimes makes them fall over, and that's basically the only chance I have of surviving. If there's two of them, I won't survive.. Unless I abuse the Pip-boy and burn through my Stimpaks. It's more challenging, for sure, but I'm not sure I'm having more fun. It was infinitely more satisfying headshotting the deathclaws from half a mile away with the Gobi sniper rifle, without the rest of them even noticing me. I still haven't decided which route I'll go for the end game. It's either House or Yesman.
  17. She's also hot.
  18. Don't even think that!! Don't you know it's much safer to jump in front of a speeding train?
  19. We feel your pain
  20. Sweden has the prettiest girls..
  21. Why is it that in every scientific thread, Wrath of Dagon comes in and makes a fool of himself? Some kind of masochistic tendency?
  22. You need to hire QA.
  23. I've always dreamt of seeing a game where mages actually feel powerful instead of fruity males casting pretty colours everywhere. I want to see orcs flying off in all directions from my fireballs. I want to see trees topple! Walls crumble! All in glorious physics. Then I'd be interested in having magic in games.
  24. Pics or it didn't happen. (and then tell me where you ordered it from because my retailer isn't doing so good)
