My best screenshot so far: I have no idea.

ED-E has the best voice acting in the game. *whirr*

Well, if they were in plain sight, some other adventurer would already have found them and walked away with them

Really? I'm one-shotting Deathclaws! And I haven't even found/bought the worst weapon yet! I think the weapons is one of New Vegas greatest strengths. Powerful, imaginative, well-balanced, good looking, varied, weighty, fun.

I must agree with that. The hitboxes (or whatever they're called) are horrible. I don't know how many times I've had a (seemingly) clear shot on something, but when I've pulled the trigger the only thing that happens is that I get one of those ricochet smoke animations in mid air and every enemy in a five mile radius turns hostile from the sound. Also, I am letting ED-E tug along with me when I sneak around. Unfortunately, that robot just doesn't know how to sneak. I thought I'd solve that by setting his combat to passive. FAT CHANCE. The stupid ball still attacks everything and everyone on sight! The crappy hitboxes and ED-E's bad behaviour are my main pet peeves with this game. At least I haven't had a single crash for the last 15-20 hours.

Nooo, that's what I've been wearing all along! The spacesuit and the fish bowl helmet. It still makes me giggle, 50 hours into the game.

I've had Ed-E with me from the beginning, my little metallic mule. His quest is triggered at various points during the game, and it's just a short radio message from someone transmitting through him. So no, there are no quest markers to begin with.. they come later. Ed-E is the only character I can stand having with me because he's always quiet. Except for that low whirring sound.

No, I could always hear them. But when they are the only sound you hear, you kind of focus on them a lot more. And I appreciate the multitude of sounds the wasteland offers when you really listen. I think the sound guys did a great job.

I've found a lot of unique weapons by now. Even a unique BB gun (that I can't force myself to throw away, no matter how useless it is). Playing the game with a low str character and hardcore rules on is not very convenient when you can't throw away your named weapons. I read that someone in this thread had 5000 rounds of ammo. That's ridiculous! I usually manage to have around 150-200 rounds for my favourite weapons (Ratslayer, Gobi sniper) before I run out of weight. It irks me that stimpaks doesn't have any weight. Is that a bug or a crappy feature? I still haven't found any Anti Material weapons with unique names (or otherwise) in the wild. But I haven't gone to any difficult areas yet. The stone quarry with the Alpha deathclaw is probably the most difficult so far. I refuse to buy them from a shop though. That definitely feels like cheating.

I've seen NZ girls. It is a prison.

The Iraq war was a disgrace, but sometimes we forget just how much

Thinking Wikileaks is doing the right thing is not the same as saying "I support terrorism". Having individuals like the ones behind Wikileaks is another way of making sure we're not getting the same type of people as the terrorists we fight operating under a government flag. That there even are vigilantes is proof enough that we need vigilantes. -
Oh yeah, I must say that the person recommending turning off the radio and just go with the ambient sounds was right. The game is so much better without Johnny Guitar twenty times per hour. And I've learnt to appreciate the radio so much more when the only times I hear it is when I wander upon one in the middle of the wasteland. It's kind of soothing to stop for a while to listen to the news (which is also on a two minute repeat, it seems). Once in a while they do change though.. it's nice.

The problem is that the organizations you name (and that I respect) are working through official means. They are using official sources, official reports, the legal documents provided by the people they are supposed to watch, and, in rarer cases, by field reports from their own. They do great work, but they don't get the big picture either. I must say, the only ones sounding like they think these wars is a video game are the soldiers you can hear in the videos provided by Wikileaks. It disgusts me to no end to hear them cheer and woo while they're firing away with their cannons on civilians. You have to remember, the ones leaking these documents are not getting rich from it. They're facing jailtime. But some people think these atrocities are worth risking the rest of their lives to uncover. The military has been using the blanket of "state security" to cover way too much crap. -
When I get home, I'm gonna show you guys what my character has been using for the entire game (he is level 25 or something so far).. you haven't seen silly yet!

My patch was 220MB.

Yeah, people whine about GfWL, but at least it continues loading the game even if it fails to login. Steam forces me to wait on their atrociously slow servers every time I want to start up my SINGLE PLAYER GAME. ****ing annoying.

I'm up to eight crashes now. Two hard ones (total system lock) and six normal ones. 30 hours without a single crash and now it's crashing like crazy. I hate this feeling of never being able to trust the game.

I am sad to say that I am now up to four crashes. One hard (the first) and three normal ones. Twice this evening.

It had a few casinos, a jail , a temple and the best enemy in any game ever, the Scorpitron.

I should probably mention that I am using Wasteland (1988) as a reference point for my post-apocalyptic vision. I was never a big Fallout fan.

I have to agree. I wish they had gone more in a Stalker-ish way when designing the game, instead of this Disney-ish tone. I mean, I absolutely love this game, but I just personally prefer the ominous atmosphere from the Stalker apocalypse more. I do love the weapons, the world, the characters, the quests and all the little details though. Right now I'd rate it 9/10. I really hope Obsidian keeps this level of quality up for their upcoming projects.
