  1. You know what's even stranger? That you bothered to write that post. You feel like you contributed something to the board now? Really?
  2. Congratulations, Bukkake. I will be getting mine on October 22.
  3. Two Worlds 2 delayed in EU too: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2010-10-...-last-confirmed Now November 9 instead of late October. Damnit. Still better than after Christmas, I guess..
  4. My pal crit DPS in icc10 for like 30 sec without nerf but cooldown and Apren crit to 58k! ..did it work? Am I one of you now?
  5. That's probably what I am looking like right now, trying to learn Freemarker, jQuery and the Spring framework all at the same time.
  6. I've preordered the Collector's Edition from a local store.. It'll cost me $115, but I'll get a plastic platinum chip!!1! so it's worth it.

    Shh!
  8. At first I thought you were joking. Then I remembered I live in Golden Sweden (with sugar on top). You won't get rich (you only get like.. $1000 per month), but you get paid for going to university here. It's part loan though, so they expect you to pay some back when you get a high salary job. But at least it's a student's loan so the interest rates are fair.
  9. Oh my god, if this news doesn't give you a boner, you're dead inside. DEAD I SAY
  10. I guess we just have different definitions of open and closed areas. Khoronis, to me, was never closed off. It was only difficult to enter, fenced off so to speak. But it doesn't require the player to solve a certain quest or be a certain level, have a certain skill or piece of equipment, be at a certain point in the story or point in time or even behave in a certain way. You can get a permit, you can buy farmer's clothes, you can climb the wall, etc. You can always get in somehow, it's never scripted (as you call it, artificially) closed. But I do agree that the end game cave was closed off..
  11. Would probably be the world's first console action RPG running 60 fps, if it were.. Now take a wild guess.
  12. Hmm, I don't remember this. What did you have to do in Gothic 2 to open up what areas? I was under the impression that it was all open, but you wouldn't have a snowballs chance in hell of getting past those high level enemies strewn everywhere with your level 2 character.
  13. Don't mock him! It must be difficult seeing the correct post through the tears of his fanboi crying. ... Ok, that may have been a little troll..ish.
  14. I voted other. I want an Obsidian board dating simulator game.
  15. It is what it says it is. Nail that has grown inside your flesh. Hurts like hell. I still don't get it. How does it get into your flesh? All my nails are firmly attached to the outside of my body. Bow down before my genes, underling.
  16. I'm busy sharpening my superlatives. They will come to good use once I've played the game for a few hours, as no normal geek can ever describe a game as anything other than the best game EVAH or the worst piece of tripe EVAH. There is no middle ground.
  17. Well, if you get it, make sure to patch it before playing. German tech sites are reporting a 25% increase in average fps after installing the patch! HUGE increase! Source: http://www.gamestar.de/spiele/arcania-goth...90,2318367.html
  18. I don't know what an ingrown toenail is!! And I am afraid to google it
  19. So you're dismissing this person, who has been confirmed works/worked within EA, and everything he states, and instead opt to rely on your own opinions on how you think it is instead? Uh OK. We'll see when it is released. I am sure Volourn will blow a wad over it no matter what, but I'm hoping normal people will see it for what it is, even if made by Bioware.
  20. Well, I'm not getting it! At least not at full price. I will wait for Two Worlds 2, play through that and hopefully Arcania will be on sale when I'm finished.
  21. So they force single players to be online at all times.. and then they ban these players for using cheats in their own single player campaigns, with the excuse that they were online at the time? Yeah, that sounds fair. I seldom use cheats, except in games like Just Cause 2 (infinite ammo and stuff), Crysis (towers of barrels!) and Red Faction: Guerilla (just to play around with the fantastic technology), but I do think Blizzard should butt out of what people think is fun to do within THEIR OWN GAMES.
  22. Gothic was originally planned to be keyboard controlled only. They added basic mouse controls very late in development. Great idea there, Piranha Bytes. The weird thing is that there are still people begging Piranha Bytes to implement the "original Gothic controls" in every new game they've released since then. I am not one of those people.
  23. "The combat system has definitely improved in execution too
  24. http://forum.worldofplayers.de/forum/showthread.php?t=808439 There's been eight threads before that one.. You need to puzzle it all together yourself.
  25. Not much info has been released yet, but I have seen no indication of Risen 2 being streamlined. Quite the opposite, in fact.
