  1. You know, it's much more fun to read little tidbits about the bands/songs you listen to, than just the actual title.. Beatles - Let It Be. I'm excluded, of course
  2. Come to think of it: now we have two mods that become walking minefields 2-3 days per month. GREAT.
  3. I know you! I have seen your ugly, ballbouncing avatar in the NHL thread. I think. Edit: Damn I'm slow. I blame the beer. Anyhow, I was referring to Hurlshot.
  4. And the opposite is true if the board girls would have a beauty contest: noone would win! )
  5. One question: those three great nations you just mentioned: how many times have they travelled across the world to try to invade another country? I sure as hell have never felt threatened by any of those countries. I know YOU think USA is the world police that keeps everyone else in their place and that everyone should be grateful for this service. You have to realize though that while 5% of the world's population (North America) probably believe that BS, the rest of the world sees one powerhungry superpower that attacks smaller countries depending on their oil reserves or the whim of a notion (because it's election year, for example).
  6. Great. Now I'm gonna have to report those useless, spammy one-smiley posts to the same person who posts them
  7. The weird thing is that Jora, who is a finn, is actually asking for more text in games.. There goes my stereotype out the window. Personally I've always been more impressed with artists that can express a ton of emotion using as few words/pictures as possible. Take Aki Kaurism
  8. Robyn - Crash And Burn Girl Robyn - Konichiwa Bitches Actually, Robyn's entire album is excellent. And her last album before that too!
  9. I wish. The video shows the results of one of the quests you're asked to do by one of the crazy gods in the game.
  10. Yeah, and if you buy those gold plated discs from Kodak, they will last 300 years!!
  11. That's not saying a lot since both those games suck donkeyballs!! Not really, but they're not exactly known for their great gameplay.
  12. Isn't Prey just another FPS or did I miss something vital?
  13. I honestly believe that football is the most tactical sport of them all. Which is why the coaches become more hated or loved than in any other sport I know of. In Sweden it's lovingly referred to as the "chess of the green field" (very roughly translated from "det gr
  14. Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince - I think I Can Beat Mike Tyson Yes, I too have been infected with that eighties germ spread by LadyCrimson. Damn, you Lady, damn you!!
  15. But why are you laughing? Out of joy, I presume? I mean, the winners from non-exclusivity are the players. Ubisoft might be one of the few major software publishers out there that aren't overly concerned with platform exclusive titles. The more platforms, the merrier! Keep up the good work, Ubisoft! Let's hope Obsidian never falls for the Microsoft/Sony lure.
  16. Commercials are restricted under law in Sweden. TV networks aren't allowed to show as many commercials as their american counterparts, so everytime they send NHL games or NFL games in Sweden, we get to see these weird scenes when the players are strolling around the field (NFL) or hanging over the boards looking bored (NHL) during the time they're showing commercials in America. Hockey is a very high intensity sport so it's not really harmed by the constant interruptions due to commercials, but american football, which in its very nature consists of 5 seconds of action, 30 seconds of tactics, is sure made to look slooow and confusing because of the breaks.
  17. I am guessing that means it hasn't been officially announced for any other platform than the Playstation 3, but everyone and his grandmother expects it to be multiplatform sooner or later. Me included.
  18. I thought the 0-0 game between Sweden and Trinidad & Tobago was very exciting. Sweden had something like 26 scoring chances, yet we were denied. It was very exciting because at that point everyone thought that those T&T points were the only sure points we'd be getting in the group. When we only got one point I seriously doubted that we would survive our group. I am glad I was wrong )
  19. I always figured a devkit (at least an early one) was a huge box of expensive PC parts, assembled together with software emulators to be able to simulate future technology that's not yet entirely finalized or in production. My interviews with Starbreeze suggested that. I might have gotten the wrong impression, as I have never actually physically seen a Playstation 3 devkit. Assassin's Creed has (to my knowledge) not been announced for anything but the Playstation 3. Yet. The probability that they would have showable working code for the PC (which Sawyer himself says is entirely different than the CELL architecture), a version which hasn't been announced yet, to be able to show it as a Playstation 3 title instead of some sort of Playstation 3 code (emulated or not), that is supposed to be the first released version, is to me.. not logical. Even more unbelievable is the notion that Sony/Ubisoft would be so stupid as to show a Playstation 3 semi-exclusive (short-time exclusive?) title on their worst competitors hardware.. shoddily hidden under a blanket. I can't believe people actually believed that. No matter. Assassin's Creed both looks great and sounds great on paper. Let's hope the game turns out to be as great as its announced features suggests it can be. On any viable platform.
  20. I just got back from work. It was raining all the time. I rode my bike. I don't even own rain clothes. YES I WAS ANGRY. Shut up )
  21. But Teves (is that his name? the guy missing a few teeth in Argentina?) was good.
  22. As alan said, if Sawyer had insinuated that it was running on emulation via PC, then it would probably be even more impressive. I'm fairly certain that Saywer (who probably visited E3 himself) heard the rumours about the "Xbox 360 under the curtain" on the showfloor and took it as fact, and that was what he was referring to. Only Sawyer knows for sure, but that's my interpretation of it.
  23. It is?? Damn, it didn't tell me I was going to try to keep my new, clean install of Windows XP Starforce free for as long as I could, just to be sure. I had huge problems installing Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter before the cleansing, but I have no idea if it was due to Starforce remnants or not. I'm not taking any chances though.. or I thought I weren't at least.
  24. It is supposed to be one version of the devkit, yes. Who knows for sure though. To me it just looks like one of those desktop computers from the eighties.
