I always wondered if you could somehow make one of the targets enter her room so she takes him out instead of you doing it yourself? I haven't been able to find a way to do that though, but that would be cool. I was very surprised the first time I played and she waved me in.. I thought I was up for some hot lovin', but.. alas.

I wonder how hard it would be to implement lightmaps on those textures? I mean, the thing that disturbs me the most about the graphics (which aren't really that bad) is that everything but characters lack shadowing and lighting. It wouldn't have to be realtime, just pre-calculated lights and shadows.

I never knew I was a graphics whore until I saw this: You discover something new about yourself every day..

More poems, less chatter! Ahem! Workday The whirr of the fan torments my ear The heat in the office leaves me in fear I open the window and gaze at the sky Two stories down, should I jump from this sty? A sigh of defeat, the window is closed The warm summer air, will I miss the most I look at the watch; six hours left Bikini clad girls are from me bereft But.. At the end of the month, when I walk to the bank I'll spend all my money and my lucky star thank I need a vacation. I need a vacation.

Easy for you to say, you're not the one with a rib in your eye every time she wants to cuddle

Yeah, Belfour is also still biting us in the rear. But Gill and Kubina were definite plusses (mostly Kubina, don't know so much about Gill..) as our defence was.. less than good last season. But we desperately need scoring wingers for our strong centers. That's why I wish they'd spend every little penny they have remaining in the cap room on a player like Anson Carter or Sergei Samsonov. I know both players are kind of overrated (when it comes to salaries) and they both have been quite inconsistant the last few seasons, but still.. they would only have to better players like Chad Kilger and it would be a huge improvement! Just for once.. I would love to see what Sundin could really do if he had talent on his wings. Year in and year out, ever since he got traded to the leafs, he's had to put up with so many deadheads on his line. There's an article about the (early) signings, on ESPN. http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/columns/stor...cott&id=2509753 I thought it was quite good in analysing what the teams have gone through so far. I especially liked this part: "Still, long-suffering Washington fans might have been happier if the Caps had shown some sort of pulse, but once again, it appears they'll simply hope someone will show up to see Alexander Ovechkin skate his brains out and Olaf Kolzig get shelled with 40 shots a game." Hahaha! So funny because it's true! ) Anyhow, it looks like the Wild (imagine that!) have been the most successful in strengthening their team, so far. They kept Gaborik, added Pavol Demitra, Kim Johnsson, Keith Carney and Mark Parrish. Now that's what I call good trading!

The funniest thing was that someone had named that video "Dumbass vs. Badass" ) That made me laugh. -
Wrong again. It is entirely possible to gain the first 3-5 levels (forgot the exact amount) by just doing quests for the farmer and inside the town of Khorinis. You obviously missed a lot of things in your playthrough. The monsters do not respawn, but to avoid having an entirely empty world aftert the first two chapters (if some nut decided to clean out the place that fast), some new animals are placed in the wilderness between chapters. Respawn means that the same monster keeps being reborn over and over in the same place. That does not happen in Gothic/Gothic 2. Edit; Duh, too slow. My post is referring to Kaftan's latest post.

Like Moose said, no man.

There is no grinding in Gothic or Gothic 2. There'a a finite number of opponents in the world and nothing ever respawns. Most areas are sparsely repopulated when the game changes chapters, but it's not possible to "grind". If you need to go out into the wilderness to kill monsters to be able to continue the story, you're doing something wrong. Maybe you didn't play long enough to get used to the controls? If you can't fight, you will die. The Gothic games never holds your hand, Bioware-esque style.

Maybe they should get rid of the on-field referee and start using video referees instead..? Or maybe football just isn't for me.. Maybe I should stick to hockey, where it's considered manly to suck up pain. I've seen players spit out teeth and continue playing in hockey. Of course, I would think doping is much more common in hockey than in football too.. especially painkillers.

I thought finns liked assbusters though? The Unimog. Still the best thing for off-road activities! (My dad has one of those.. it's awesome)

Hey!! Wasteland has lovely graphics!

Is Samsonov still available? That's one player I'd love to see in a Leafs uniform, especially on the wing of Sundin.. I guess he's a bit too expensive for my blue-and-white's though. Only $4-6 million left on the cap space. Holding my thumbs for Anson Carter instead then!

So.. Italy pussified themselves to a final again. Good job! I've noticed I can't watch an entire game of football when Italy is one of the teams on the field. They're diving in defence, they're diving to get free-kicks/penalty shots, they're diving to get waterbreaks.. They're rolling around like piglets in the grass most all of the time. It must be horribly frustrating to play against them when you know that whatever you try to do with the ball will end up in a rolling, screaming italian somewhere on the field and a whistle from the referee.

I'm dreaming about blondes. I'm ogling blondes on the beach. I'm looking at blondes downtown. I have blondes at my job (six of them started this monday!). My summerblonde girlfriend visited me for the first time in a month this weekend. A blonde girl just rode her bike past my window.. like 100 yards away. A blonde german girl showed me her thong on the train home from Stockholm this monday. There are blondes in bikini's sunbathing a few hundred yards below my office, hidden behind a clung of trees. I'm getting a chainsaw and binoculars tomorrow. I'm going nuts this summer.

Nope. Completely wrong. The story was always written around the premade nameless character. The cutscenes had nothing to do with that, it was a delibarate design choice by Piranha Bytes to skip the character generation. They just wanted to throw you into the game, without going through a bunch of statistical menus first.
-
They've (Piranha Bytes) admitted that Gothic 3 will not have any pre-rendered sequences (like the Brothel sequence in Gothic 2 ) ) because of lack of funds. I guess they'll be doing the sex scenes in-game instead..

If by action you mean "taking control of your own character" then yes. No, if you think of action as Diablo-esque click-fests.

Happy.. uh.. something, USA!! Hope you have lots of fun in your celebrations ) But leave those poor canadians alone, they bring us good hockey!

Another potential problem about your idea: if you want to have skillbased combat in a MMO, you're going to have to rely on everyone having the same kind of connection speeds. In an ordinary MMO you can lag like hell and still win a battle, because the combat is almost completely automated. Even if you can't see what's going on, your character keeps on hitting his opponent. If it was a skillbased system, everytime you lag out, your character does too and you're inevitably dead. -

I just don't understand why you'd want to watch grown men in neon-coloured tights, covered in baby-oil dance with each other on stage for an hour at a time? Why not watch the real thing, like MMA? Pride FC for example? Two words: Fedor Emelianenko. -
I'd love to take one of these for a spin.. SU-27 Flanker. Yeah, I know it's kind of old, but it's still one of the coolest aircraft evah.

Yeah, at least Yzerman belongs in the Hall of Fame. Ladislav Smid has played in Europe for a while (I've seen him play in the WJC) and if his development curve doesn't suddenly come to an abrupt halt, you won't be missing Pronger much in Edmonton. Smid is extremely hard to knock off the puck, he positions himself well on the ice and he has shown tendencies of having skilled hands. He's quite young though so he's still bound to make defensive mistakes sometimes, something which should only get better as he gains routine. Rumours say the Leafs are trying to sign Anson Carter.. I think he might actually be a good fit in Toronto.
