  1. Why transform a religious zealot into an atheist when we already have a perfectly valid atheist as a companion (Pallegina) and two orders of atheists in Twin Elms (the druidic orders)? Iovara's claim that the gods aren't real always felt like a comparison to similar settings like D&D in which gods function pretty much like the PoE gods but are necessary to the world, which can't function without them.
  2. "and even the lead designer has publicly admitted that he is an atheist as well...." The lead designer also lead the Honest Heart DLC for New Vegas, which has sometimes been called "mormon propaganda". Your agument is invalid. I'm no theologist, but that really felt like one strong example of Prideful behavior on the Engwythans' part.
  3. The Glanfathans seemed to have been mostly spared by the Hollowborn. Twin Elms is filled with children.
  4. I think the only way to truly limit rest-spamming would be to have consequences for resting too much. Like once you have a quest and you enter the area dedicated to it, you can only rest so many times before the quest automatically fails.
  5. OK, that might be a bug then, because in my game, my main char can outpace anything short of ogres or Stelgars, and those are really, really fast.
  6. @Sonntam Knowing how you used those boots from somewhere else on the internet, I have a question : are they never working or are they not working outside of combat? One of the 2.x patches made it that all characters have the same speed outside of combat, hence you only see the bonus (or malus) items bring to your Move Speed when entering combat.
  7. Ah! But you also need Durance in the party for that to work, right? I only had Maneha react to Pallegina, saying that "the company is welcome" and winking at her.
  8. No video, but at least now we know she's a follower of Ondra and a Giftbearer : White March Part 2 achievements: https://steamcommunity.com/stats/291650/achievements/
  9. Apparently Matthew Mercer also voiced Galvino and Wyrmund on top of Aloth, Eder and Iselmyr. Now that's some impressive range. I think that's part of Infinitron's critic, that we only get to see her doubts and fragility at the end. Although I think that's a bit of an unfair critic. Sagani, when she started on that quest, knew that it would be long and arduous but she never doubted that she would be able to complete it. After five years, she misses her home and family and the food, and that is really noticeable in her banter and dialog. What breaks her when she finds Persoq is that she won't be able to say everything to him before he passes away. And I liked that the way to defuse the situation with the Glanfanthan hunters depended on what you advised her to tell Persoq. And speaking of stags, was anyone else surprised when they were attacked by a group of elder stags in the White March, then went "Duh!" when they remembered that they just saw two does flee before them and hide behind the males?
  10. Patch the game then. It's been fixed in patch 1.5 I think.
  11. She gets one with Hiravias. Another funny line in The White March when you enter the fishery : "Why are they drying them out? Those are ready to be eaten!". By Sagani, of course.
  12. Weren't all GoT games made on a cheap budget simply because Cyanide (who took the rights from EA) wasn't the biggest studio around? I mean, Pro Cycling Manager only gets you so far!
  13. Not all the time, but one of their special moves has an ice effect.
  14. It's too bad the barks when other characters die don't fire too often, Iselmyr has some good ones. My favorite would have to be the one when Durance dies, and Iselmyr starts screaming "Durance!" and then a beat and then Aloth finishes with "He's not moving." The reactions of the little guys (Hiravias and Sagani) to "Big Guy Kana"'s death are also hilarious, "The big one is down! We're doomed!" for Hiravias and "The big fella's down!" in an absolutely panicked tone for Sagani. Also how everyone's reaction is pretty much variations on "We're ****ed!" whenever Pallegina goes down. A collection of the barks :
  15. I think I must have been attacked a grand total of three times in my playthrough... what did I do wrong?
  16. Well, they did promise us something better than a gameplay trailer after all, and that's the improved version of one!
  17. Stupid question : if you're able to download the latest patch and the expansion, why not simply download the original game along with it?
  18. Well you know what to do with PoE 2 Obsidian : characters don't start at level 1, they start at level 0, which is basically just the attributes and background. The first talents and abilities are chosen on level 1!
  19. Why were you using your Faithful Companion/Liberating Exhortation (what's the difference between a Goldpact Knight and a Paladin from any other order by the way?) in the first place? Did you decide not to play with a priest? Because even without a hard counter, all the "protection against _____" spells were very efficient. Is it really the scroll thing that bothers you the most, rather than the hard counter?
  20. Does the Order of Five Suns count? They are directly under the authority of the Ducs after all.
  21. More news from the same source : http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3706905&pagenumber=696#post454690419 I love that new Paladin ability! It's totally fitting the class and it's more interesting than a simple immunity/removal.
  22. What sort of keyboard has the "w" and "f" keys so close to one another? And I guess that after the states and territories, they could start using capitals and cities? I thought that was the british?
