  1. Why couldn't we eat more than rats? Like, cannibalism
  2. They merely wanted their engine I think... Now I wonder : apparently The Witcher 2 was supposed to be multi-platforms. With the console version of the first game being canned, will this game remain like this or will it go only to PC?
  3. Does the "!" after the "1000" means something special??? If not, then I'm the one not getting it
  4. I'm eagerly waiting for : --- Alpha Protocol --- Prototype --- Divine Divinity 2
  5. I'm HS here, but are you kidding??? Even for me, who isn't the brightest gamer out there, the puzzles in Dreamfall were far easier than the ones in The Longest Journey. I especially remember a "puzzle" where you simply had to go to the same guy three times to ask magical objects for specific use. He didn't ask you anything in exchange, he just gave it to you. I was absolutely frustrated by that one! I enjoyed the game though. But it gave you the feeling that you were playing an interactive movie instead of a real game. 3D doesn't fit adventure games, but it fits well with RPG those times (at least for the ones where you direct only one character. I hate it for party-based RPGs. Hate the cameras). And Divine Divinity 2 seems gorgeous, while you couldn't say that Dreamfall felt "artistic" when compared to its predecessor. It even felt uglier.
  6. A remake of Torment could sell well I think, if made correctly. With full voice-over, great animations that would retake all the descriptions that were in the dialogue in the original (THAT would take a chunk off the length of text in the game...), better fight system, better class and customization system that would enable each class to be useful and fun to play, etc. It seems that today, a lot of gamers like the "movie" kind of game, as well as flashy graphics and "impressive" power. Man, was Torment full of them! It ever dumbed down the fight system in order to be prettier and enable JRPG-like spells!
  7. The Storm of Zehir experience could be expanded into a "full" Icewind Dale 3 perhaps...
  8. Sorry to bother everyone, but I've read multiple times on this boards that JE Sawyer exposed some thought about VATS somewhere, anybody knows where would that be?
  9. I would love to see a remake of Planescape : Torment. That game focused so much on dialogues that a remake with complete voice over and an engine that can do "more than decent" animations (so that you can have all the things described on the dialogues directly on screen, not described) would be very sweet. Obsidian could take the time to enhance the combat gameplay, as it really wasn't that good. And perhaps try to add more possibilities for customization of your character class-wise.
  10. Or the fact that every time they talk about the arms dealer, it's that military guy (from which country I wonder? Iraq? For some reason that's what the red beret reminds me of) that is shown. But even then, i can't be sure. And it's unimportant. After all, I think the main reason we've been given so little dialogue footage is to keep the plot as "secret" as possible.
  11. Well if you look closely the screen-shots of the inventory, you can see that there is a sub-division for each kind of weapon you can use in this game, so you shouldn't have any problem (at least in the inventory, I don't know about the loot... is there loot by the way?).
  12. Are you sure he is the arms merchant? He wears a uniform, which is not something I have come to associate to arms dealer. I think the man we saw being thrown off a cliff in the GTTV coverage is more likely to be the merchant : he is dressed as a civilian and his clothes looked like the clothes that are often wore by rich/important people in Saudi Arabia...
  13. Yeah, same here : limited set of skills with a lot of action, and a choice between stealth, action and technology. It reminds me a little bit of The Witcher for the consequences of the choices you make. Yeah, if I had to compare it to other games, without searching for an inspiration, I would say it reminds me of a mix between Deus Ex and The Witcher.
