Ask Catalina. I'm sure he would agree

Plus they would probably work through Eidos, and that's not a JRPG company. Square Enix will probably use Eidos if they want to work in the Western market, at least for some years.

It must be a good thing that we learn about her age and her handicap only if we spare her then

Awesome/interesting games no one has heard of
Sannom replied to Purkake's topic in Computer and Console
Blade of Darkness, isn't that the game also known as Severance? Good game, I remember the Amazone was one easy character to play with, thanks to her far-reaching and fast combos! I also remember it as the only game that was harder and longer to uninstall than to install! Normally it's the other way around! -
So, Is this game delayed or not?

I think people may have gone a little bit overboard with the Twitter since those two messages about the leaked document And to think I was the one who brought it to everyone else... -
CD Projekt acquired by Polish computer maker
Sannom replied to Masterfade's topic in Computer and Console
According to the vice-president of CD Projekt, they did this so that they could find other to finance their games and "not be at the mercy of Western publisher". Their experience with Atari was really THAT bad??? -

So, Is this game delayed or not?
Sannom replied to TheWatcher's topic in Alpha Protocol: General Discussion
Yeah, I clearly can't see the reason for a eigth month push-back. All the comments and previews we've seen those last two month hinted at a game that is pretty much finished, with only bu hunting let to do. Such a delay would indicate big changes in gameplay, not only polish. And I can't believe Sega would only realize NOW that the game isn't what they expected! Whatever that is. -

Okay, I'm terrible at seeing irony and everything, but if THAT is not a jab at a recent "polemic" around Alpha Protocol, I don't know what it is : Okay, the previous entry is also a reference to the same thing! -
I thought that was Canada?

Wow. That's good culture for geek people like me Curiously enough, I would have expected Onyx to be at the same point than the Unreal Engine, since Onyx was developed by and for a company that makes almost-exclusively RPGs. I suppose that's the logical consequence of RPGs being able to be put in any kind of shape, from shooter to party-based game.
-
Does Alpha Protocol have speech skills? No, that's what I thought. Don't think it makes it any less RPG though.
-
Yeah, I can confirm that. Japan has no love for PC and occidental games, such a shame And the two together? Wow, that's hard to find. Good thing the country where Play Asia is based isn't too far

The Enhanced Edition was a good thing for alchemy, thanks to the divided inventory and auto-sort. At my second play-through, I was tired of having all that alcohol, so I always made White Gull potions from the alcohol and used that nice mod to stack more items in one slot. Something really annoying with alchemy was the secondary effect thing, there was no way to automatize that, and the inventory didn't sort it right. You had to take every ingredient one by one and put them in the slots.
-
How the heck did you survive without alchemy in that game??? I mean, you can't go far without some Swallow potion to heal yourself, even the Cat potion is needed if you want to get through the crypts in that game! And don't get me started on the Beast! Books and all that are not "boring" stuff, I felt they made them rare and expensive enough to always be happy to get all the information you need. You can hardly finish the drowner mission in the first chapter without the right book, or example.
-
I don't think it will be necessary that time. CD Projekt RED was a noob developper at the time, and they completely overlooked some of the most technical things, mainly the loading times and the fact that the quicksaves should use a unique slot. The second game will probably ship with a lot less of those big issues, I'm sure, seeing that they're more experienced now.

I never grinded for levels in the Witcher, but I did some grindage to get money. There a lot of little things to buy in that game that are worth a lot of money : books, alcohol for elixirs, recipes, sometimes ingredients, parts to enhance your blade, etc.

I think you may have completely misunterpreted the comment, in fact. This wasn't a comment about Obsidian's unannounced game, but a clarification about what Feargus was talking about. The panel seemed dedicated to licences and such, and the journalist just cleared out that Feargus wasn't talking about licences from another medias, but about old game series that didn't see the light of day for a time, and that a developper could ask to revive because it fits with what they do.

Some people tend to believe that sterility and disease-immunity make them more attractive than what they already are. Plus there is the mysterious and badass feel they have about them. And I think there is a theory that the mutagens have a side-effect about that. Although, this said, I can't really believe that Lambert could have had many adventures, if only for his personnality The guy is a pain! Like other people, I'm surprised they don't already have a publisher, with the success the precedent game was! Bah, they will find eventually.

The Grand Master was a racist who thought that in order for the human race to survive, two things had to be done : --- create gardians with no feelings and no doubts in order to protect and help the normal human population during this new Ice Age. --- destroy the non-humans, especially the elves, because they were an extinct race whom foolish attempts at getting back their old glory, although destined to fail, could still mean the disparition of the humn race. Especially when the prophecy is sometimes told to be in favor of the elves, having been profered by an elven seer. A for the way he handled the prophecy... remember than the Witcher don't share their secrets, never. And that even if he could get support from one kingdom, there was no way he could get support from every kingdom out there. ESPECIALLY when his whole organization is the result of a plan by some secret services to foil the plans of another strong and influent organization, the Loge of Sorceresses. I don't understand your point about the choices and consequences. Are you talking about the Abigail choice (one of the most white VS black choice in that game. I mean, there is NO way I could choose the villagers) at the beginning?

When will we be getting new footage/info?

Well, people played the game at PAX, but apparently it was not opened to the media, only to the public. -

Wow. THAT'S what I call trolling. -
But some creatures are so impressive than gaining nothing from beating them would feel really disappointing! No XP for beating Firkraag or Gaax? You've got to be kidding! Perhaps I simply never played the games that I should have to understand why grinding is so annoying to some people, because no game I played enabled grinding. I grinded inadvertingly in Final Fantasy 7 because the devs were dumb enough to believe everyone will flee from every random encounter, but that's about the only game where I grinded. The Witcher, I did it for the money and alchemy, which stays in the credo of the character.
-
If you focused on getting the new moves instead of getting the enhancements, you could have them quite quickly Speaking of The Witcher, that game didn't have much of XP-grinding, although grinding was still a good plan to get money (I have made many trips in the swamps to kill drowners for this) and alchemical ingredients (low-end undead and swamp creatures, especially).

You know, I think I agree with you. What I find ridiculous here is the over-reaction. The OP is too angry, giving names to the people at Obsidian, thinking that every Obsidian game will never include a female protagonist again, etc. The reaction is just too violent for such a minor point, it certainly didn't need a topic for that. A simple post in another topic would have been just enough.
