  1. Because they know, that lot of their customers outside Japan have no access to fast enough internet to enjoy streaming services? http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052702303640104577436261084921778.html With thinking like that, I don't think Gaikai will be pushed much outside Japan...
  2. http://www.playstationjobs.co.uk/vacancy/561-PS2-Emulation-Debug-Engineer&page=1 This says something about their current position on emulation software...
  3. USB 3.0 has transmission speeds of up to 5 Gbit/s, if hardware was projected for that kind of use from the beginning it is fast enough to transmit communication between Cell and RAM inside, or if made properly you can use 2 USB 3.0 ports for even higher throughput. Everything else can be made by the middleware and emulation. SONY does not need to reverse engineer the Cell to make a proper emulator, like open source community, and if they would want that, they would make this happen sooner than in 10 years of freelancer work, like other EMUs are made for the PCs... The keywords are PROJECTED THAT WAY FROM BEGINNING
  4. If you put Cell on the dongle only, and use the GPU and RAM resources of the new console and make some sort of middleware, it can work.
  5. Thunderbolt?
  6. How is that remotely plausible? IIRC When PS3 launched the PS2 price went down under 149USD for a console, later going down to 99USD. (correct me if I am wrong) So if it will be just a dongle with Cell, it might be plausible for the price of 99USD I just wish SONY would make something like that for PS2 compatibility on PS3 long time ago...
  7. If there will really be dongle for PS3 HW compatibility, I am a game at launch... But no mention of PS2 compatibility besides cloud streaming :/ Which I do not see ever available here, because SONY is still unable/unwilling to launch PSStore in half the EU...
  8. As i edited my previous post, your example is 48,718% piracy rate... basic math 9.75 mio games available to end users in total. Out of which is 4.75 mio pirated.
  9. Though they did mean it that ridiculous way And your example is 48,718% piracy rate and not 95% piracy rate...
  10. Wrong math Hurlshot... What was Ubisoft meaning with the 95% bull**** number, is that number of their copies sold is 5% of all games available to users... So if they sold 5 million copies, it means that 95 million copies are pirated copies, which is ridiculous...

  12. And that is your opinion I really find it funny, that most of the FFX-2 haters actually never played the game Or they stopped right away because they are feeling to insecure to play game with 3 girl protagonists
  13. I DO , I won't break NDA though Just tell us, we do not tell that to anybody outside of these forums AAAAAnyway, 10 hours into Resonance of Fate, just finished the chapter 3, the combat system is pretty amazing and bosses hard as hell if you make a mistake in executing Tri-Attacks on them and their minions... I like that
  14. FFX-2 is not bad, if you are able to get over the girliness of the game, the battle system is still imo the best from whole FF series, and that was why I spent long time playing this game and pretty much enjoying it. And yes, you are right, lot of elements of the game made it inferior sequel, but still it was enjoyable experience. Hopefully the HD version Bluray for PS3 will contain both International versions of the two games...
  15. Or they make it "accessible" for broader audience
  16. For me it is an additional challenge, because most of them are extremely difficult, and therefore I feel I have achieved something extreme, might be that i had for very long time boring jobs and I needed some challenges at least in games. Nowadays it is really hard for me to dedicate so much time into gaming, so mostly I am playing 5-7 games after I finished main stories, and I am switching with completely new games. Currently my playlist is Star Ocean 4, Fallout 3, Icewind Dale II, NWN2-SOZ, Last Story, Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2, Mortal Kombat 9 and after today's purchase Resonance of Fate. I was able to kill Superboss in Star Ocean 4 almost two years after I started the game for the first time, and I have not yet killed his ultimate 6-wing form... As an example I was able to finish God of War III and able to achieve Platinum Trophy after 1 week of playing this game, which made me little bit disappointed. And I really, really, really suck at playing games in GoW series...
  17. Just finished my second playthrough of Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2. I was able to Achieve Human Ending Aaand today arrived long awaited Resonance of Fate, which will be next on my to do list *cheers*
  18. I am asking the same questions whenever I see someone mentioning that they are replaying Neverwinter Nights OC, Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age 2 But for these games one simple answer, they are fun to play Most of the current gen western games are boring, handholding and piss easy, that I get bored in 2-3 hours after starting them, with very very very few exceptions... And there are so many different challenges you can have with these games, which most of the Western Games lack... Especially superbosses, I rather spend 40 hours gathering materials for ultimate equipment to beat these bosses, than to replay NWN for example... Much much more rewarding and challenging...
  19. All options and a slider in the game settings... Different people different deviations
  20. Not much news related, but made me smile If you are good with console controllers you may have good enough hand-eye coordination, that you are apparently a perfect candidate to become perfect surgeon in operating robotic surgery tools http://arstechnica.com/science/2012/11/gamers-prove-equal-to-surgeons-in-operating-robotic-surgery-tools/ All you need is to spend 2 hours a day with gaming QTEs are now in much better light
  21. I wish I had . Two years ago I changed my job and I am so much busy, that I really do not have much time to spend anymore, my average gaming is 2 hours a day, which is still over 700 hours spent with gaming in a year But after I stopped to play MMOs, I have like 10 times more of free time than before
  22. Maybe you are doing it wrong then, try to play the games in shorter sessions and combine it with games like God Hand or God of War, to get your head cleared, but do not take to big break or you forget the story I know what I am talking about, got 450 hours in White Knight Chronicles 400 hours in Star Ocean 4 and 250 hours of gameplay of FFXII over the course of last 5 years, and I am still enjoying them, when I get back to them Currently playing my 2nd playthrough of Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2. 40 hours only combined time
  23. Yes they did that, but they did not for example block turbine points or stuff you unlocked in your previous gaming session when you were still subscribing, like SWTOR does it. And that they have gone F2P so soon after the launch is their problem, not mine. If I wish to make some charity, then I simply prefer to give away my money to children or animal in need funds, not to Asshatiello Quarterly Bonus Fund...
  24. I would expect at least the same level of F2P service for previous subscribers, as offered by LoTRO or DnD Online, nothing less nothing more... EA is trying to lower the industry standards again and some people are even grateful for it... tsk tsk tsk...
