I never played DnD before, but I tried to convert few free adventures to PF rules... For almost monsters from DnD Monster Manual, you almost easily find same monster or equivalent, in PF Bestiaries... So this is very fast procedure... But first two unique monsters were for me about 2 hours each converting the stat blocks... Last time, when I was doublechecking if I did not any mistakes after playing few sessions and becoming more fond of the rules, it is about 10-20 mins for full conversion of unique monster, depending on Template used etc etc...

The closest game to Ni no Kuni in terms of gameplay would be White Knight Chronicles... With little bit of Pokemon and Atelier games I love the world, I like combat on Normal mode, but I can not get much into the main character yet, I think I am to old to be able to fully see the game with his eyes And the world is typical JRPG "Open World"... you can travel around very big areas, but, new areas are unlocked by the story... I realy can not tell you more accurate info, never played any DQ games But for me, it was well worth 60 EUR...

Yup Chaos Gate was one of my favourite strategies, right after 1st X-Com...

I am frequent visitor of d20pfsrd website, and I have it opened on my notebook during our sessions as well, fastest method to search for some rules, when none of us is realy sure about some rules we need to incorporate into the game What kind of gamemastery cards are most helpful or you are people using for easier flow of the adventures?

And maybe there really will be pocanhontas riding rainbow unicorns as well...

Doesn't really bother me in theory either. But, this is EA. In 5 years their single-player 60 dollar games will be pay2win. I think you are to optimistic, that it will last 5 years... My bet would be 18 months...

Stopped reading after this... He clearly has no clue, what does the word quality means...

20 hours into Ni no Kuni... I started right away on Normal difficulty, and made right choice, the boss fights are pretty challenging. I have just transmuted milk fountains into cheese and waiting for audience

So? Doesn't mean they're justified in doing it simply because they can. If your point is that there'll always be people that are pretty much slaves to their desires, it's kind of a statement of the obvious. And again, you nitpicked one sentence from my whole post and completely missed the point as a whole... It was not about that pirating people are right about their justifications... It was about big companies being wrong when they put hurdles in a entertaining of their customers... And if they do this, there will always be someone, who offer them something with less hurdles in a way... ergo Robin Hood analogy...

I got my English from game.co.uk, if it helps you... Edit: Just checked it, they have it listed as "In Stock".

Thank you for all the advices... I think, that after we get little bit more comfortable with the games and get at least level 5-7, after playing various PFS scenarios, I will slowly move to Rise of the Runelords... And another advice needed How do you handle the situation, when you have new players, and they do not know some rules, which they have to use for successfully solve the situation at hand or quest? My players are not really good at knowing Combat Maneuver rules for example, and in last scenario we played it was essential to solve the situation by the book with Sunder Combat maneuver, which no one had a clue about And my improvisation skills are still not good when it comes to bending some rules to better fit the situation :/

Ni No Kuni finally arrived... Had to purchase it in UK. Here there are still no copies for sale... **** retarded CZ/SK distributors...

Yes, Nordic countries are well know for one of the best approach to adopting new technologies. To bad, most of the countries in the world are like 10 years behind you...

Hmm Kingmaker might be little bit problematic then with my group yet, fast basic math is easy for my friends, but I am afraid I am only one with PnP spreadsheet enthusiasm We will see, but from what I have talked to them about various APs, they are liking the concept the most... Second Darkness is something that hit my attention as a first, when browsing through Paizo web site, because I love the underground setting and Svirfneblins, were for some reason my all time favourite race in computer games... But I am still little bit insecure about converting all of the DnD rules into Pathfinder... I never played PnP DnD before

If it would not be viable long term business model, Microsoft would out of business... It is the same over and over again from the second half of the 90's where Windows was the required platform for anything... And many other products, despite offering better alternatives, were just forced out of business... remember OS/2 anyone? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OS/2

NEWSFLASH: There will always be people who feel they are entitled to anything... It is in human nature, which you can not suppress by force, that's why muppets like Robin Hood are considered heroes among people... So try to offer them something more convenient... If half the money which RIAA, MPAA and ESA spent for lobbying in US congress to promote bull**** like SOPA, ACTA, PROTECTIP, DMCA was spent on developing new business models, which would be more convenient for people in the "West", we would have much lower rate of piracy now...

We're not talking about a sketchy .exe from a torrent site here; this is the flagship program of a multi-billion dollar corporation. I'm going to guess they're doing their best to make sure Steam is safe. Are they perfect? No, but as Ocelot said they're not exactly alone in that regard. Because there is no way, that a multi-billion dollar corporation would ever think about putting malicious code into their programs intentionally, not in billion years... Right... Ever heard of Sony Root-kit debacle? Edit: And the best interest of these companies is to make as much money as possible, and high security = high costs... Therefore we see all the time news about companies hacked and personal information stolen from their servers... Heck even Blizzard, which is the second name to money printing machine, has been compromised this way few times, because of inadequate security... And do I need to remind you about the Sony PSN outage last year? They made their best as well, right? And being not alone is not an excuse... Being not alone means, that there are many very bad companies, which do not care about exploits in their products...

You are of course right, but as you said, the bigger the install base, the bigger the threat. I use mainly Linux at home and in the company where I am working, I use Windows computer with extremely strict rules in the proxy, firewalls and update mechanism. I can say easily, that my current expose to external threats are as minimized as possible and due to the nature of my job, I have to maintain it this way... I use at home Windows only for gaming, nothing else, and all of the games, except LoL, have denied communication with internet in my firewall setting, a thing, which I am unable to do with Steam client...

Oh noes, and I was already on search of my RAPORT BATTN, you spoiled all of my funz :/ No worries, I can read between lines sometimes He said his cd-key got stolen and registered by someone else.Back in the day even EA would issue a new one with proof of purchase. You sir, are correct. At that time no one was caring about people in 3rd world countries like Slovakia... Now, when we are in EU, we have better possibilities how to defend our customer rights from foreign corporations. But you know the saying... Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me...

Errr, the first link requires the user to actively choose to open a link that has the Steam URL (that then does something nefarious. This is akin to someone foolishly clicking on a link in an email. If you use a capable browser and don't autoload external links just by clicking on them, you sidestep the issue completely. Unfortunately the details for how the second one can be exploited are a bit light. As for "I had one game stolen from me already." Well, maybe that just "says a lot about your personality." You were stupid and got taken advantage of because you didn't know any better. People can be just as stupid and let their houses get caught on fire or their doors wide open for people to come walking in and take their stuff. The funny thing is, in that other thread it was someone else's problem, and their own damn fault that stuff fell into disrepair. However, here, instead of going "whoops, I was stupid... but it was my fault" (you don't seem to be to willing to allow other people to make mistakes in their life because they are "young and stupid."), it's big bad Steam's. No responsibility for making sure you don't do stupid things. It's Steam's fault that you were stupid. The point of the post was about unhelpful customer support. I have stated in my post that it was only my fault, that I got lost the CD-Key because of keylogger, not Steams... Skewing around the meaning of the sentence says a lot about your personality. If customer support of Valve is not willing to help you out with your issue, it is their fault, not yours. Being dependent on someone else good will, to be able to play your favourite game is stupid idea...

I know it is not forced, therefore I avoid it, and everybody knows Steam is very popular in the World, but the thing is, if they are having this trivial exploit in their product, and do not care about about addressing it, why should I believe, that such software developer have no other undiscovered flaws, maybe even bigger, within their system?
