And another look at Game Dev Tycoon, with little bit under the hood looking at the legal matter of what they have done... http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2013/05/piracy-or-baiting-the-thorny-legal-question-of-game-dev-storys-honeypot/

I don't owe EA nothing... They owe me Origin, Bullfrog, Westwood just to name a few... neither I do owe any other company... Last game I played from EA is Wing Commander Prophecy Gold... If Activision or Ubisoft would go down under, It would be for me same thing... Last game from Activision I played was Pitfall 2 on Atari 800XL, last game I played which has Ubisoft logo is Star Ocean 3 for PS2... I would lose nothing if any these companies will go down tomorrow... There is enough quality developers, who will continue to entertain me as they are entertaining me now... I would just gain a world with less shovelware

Do not mention JRPGs to him, he might catch rabies

High end graphics are killing the games industry

Few words of Chris Roberts on making more money with lower sales numbers... http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2013-04-22-chris-roberts-how-incredible-community-transforms-development And one out of topic quote of him, but it made me smile when thinking about all the PC evangelists -
for me, EA RPGs not my cup of tea

EA does that now ? But even so, someone else will make them if people want them, I guess. Forgot the joke-indicating emoticon EA doesn't, but EA collapsing won't magically result in everybody else doing it, or even anybody else doing it, unlike what some people seem to think. Way to miss the point, guys! "possible" EA collapsing will clean up market for a while, until someone else will get into their place of creating overpriced AAA games which needs to sell 50000000 copies to break even... endless cycle
-
Your remark would be less funny, if actually EA has made something, which could fit this description in the last 10 years

Unfortunately most of the pupils give FO grade back to their teachers...

I wouldn't put it in quite that vein. After all, there are times when you can have a really great story in a game that you're enjoying, and then you end up with some annoying as get out, grindy, nonsensical and fairly meaningless bossfight that isn't about skill, technique or character.. but about mashing a few keys repetitively to avoid the boss attacks, while you slowly whittle down their 200k+ hit points using only specific moves because the bastard is invulnerable except in specific instances... If orgasm was like that, people really would stop having sex.. But that is obviously design flaw, made by the creators of the game... In ideal world, you would never experience something like that... Unfortunately, we are not living in ideal world...

Games without bossfights are same as sex without orgasm...

Why I am not surprised anymore... Next... If you do not preorder you will have no bossfights...

Another funny/maybe not remark by Jim Sterling about what we do talk here as well... http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/jimquisition/7161-Perfect-Pasta-Sauce -
And then maybe we would not always put profit over humanity

Started my second playthrough of FFXIII-2... Trying to get as much of the game secrets as possible... Already got some pretty rare monsters, so we'll see how fast I will get to the Superbosses, which I am almost always skipping at my first playthroughs of JRPGs...

EDIT: To late to the party... has already been cleared...

I liked what I read

That defense didn't work for guys that made Napster and ran sites like the pirate bay. But that excuse/defense work very well for american weapon industry, isn't it? You forgot to mention Hitler Actually for Hitler his excuses did not worked out very well, did they?

Since when has the point of gaming become socializing? If I want to socialize, I won't be playing games. Since the day, when people started to play with each other
-
But that won't stop you from getting a PS4 and shunning Steam games, right? nope it will not... PS4 is not always online... I will do what I am doing now... Not buying games which require online pass... If PS4 will not allow me this, then bad luck for Sony as well And Steam, Origin and Uplay... same **** packed in different package... games as service without actual service which would give me any feature, that I can't live without... And there is still tabletop gaming, you know... the REAL SOCIAL gaming with REAL FRIENDS... who would have thought about that If you like to get drunk with headset on your head and chatting with Mr.xOMGPWNZORx over "social" networks, it's your choice... But I rather buy a bottle of Port Wine and go with my gf to visit people with which I am gaming last 15 years offline in each other living rooms...

More Ubisoft bull****... http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2013/04/ubisoft-montreal-ceo-audience-is-ready-for-always-online-consoles/

They have a parent company that's doing quite well, sure they can turn a profit from their games, but do we know that the expansion is funded by that? That's a rhetorical question right? Wages are way lower than North America, Western and Northern Europe. Of course there's a lot of talent from Eastern Europe that goes to Western Europe and North America. Believe me, you would be surprised how much is good programmer worth in East Europe, and how big they paychecks are -
Got Pathfinder session going on, they planned it at wrong weekend

Yes, I do know, FFX in EU is the same content as in Japan, but I am one of the insane in a brain people who actually enjoyed X-2, because I loved its ATB combat system... So I am eager about this new content... First Dissidia was amaying game... last time I checked, my last save got more than 300 hours played... it is highly addictive, but not everybody's cup of tea... I would definitely not recommend it to everyone, but for me it was best SE game released in last 5 years in the west...
