I wish this would be on PS4 as well Anyway, more of the Dark Souls stuff As soon as I wake up in the prison in The Duke's Archive, I run little bit around, killed hollowed Rhea of Thorolund for her Talisman, and chat with imprisoned Big Hat Logan. After some running around the whole Archives, I've found all necessary keys to unlock his cell, and he moved close to bonfire. I purchased more of his spells, and listened to his advice for fighting Seath. After that, I have saved Sieglinde of Catarina from being imprisoned in Yellow Crystal Golem, and went back to Firelink Shrine to talke with her, to continue on Siegmeier's quest. After that, I have moved to Crystal Cave, and slowly moved over invisible edges to pick up all items and move closer to Seath's Lair. The goal was to get his tail weapon, because in my plythrough, I was unable to do that, I hit the tail to close to his body With this character, I was better prepared, and I watched few videos on how to do it. I let him shatter his Immortality crystal, and right after that, I run around with Chaos Fire Whip pyromancy prepared and failed So I have Homewarded back to Bonfire and run back. Same procedure, but better result now Two hits to the tail was required to get the Moonlight Greatsword, and few more pyromancy hits, and he went down fast. With fully upgraded pyromancy is Seath not much of a challenge on NG. After the fight, I went back to Big Hat Logan and purchased rest of his spells, to continue in his questline. I moved to Seath's tower, and confronted his mad hollow form. After the fight, he dropped the last spell required for my Wisdom of a Sage trophy. Now back to Firelink Shrine to have more talk with Sieglinde and to visit two smiths to give them two new embers from Archives, and to Sen's Fortress to meet poor Griggs in hollow form at the end of his quest line Meanwhile I was able to fully upgrade two of my weapons, for their respective trophies, and moved on my way to The Great Hollow and Ash Lake. Because I wanted to pick up every single item, it cost me probably 5 or six deaths, when my jump was to short, or when I dropped down from bad spot As soon as I've arrived at Ash Lake, I have met again with Sieglinde, who killed her hollowed father, again. And gave me for all the trouble 1 piece of Titanite Slab. Next in line was the second Hydra, which hits much stronger than the first one, and I had not high enough Endurance, to be able to block her attacks, so after two unsuccessful attempts to cut her off more than three heads, I resorted to cheese ranged tactics, and slowly shoot her heads one by one from a galaxy far, far away. Being successful in that, I ran to the end of the area, to meet with the last of the Everlasting Dragons, joined his covenant and victoriously cut off his tail for Dragon Greatsword, which I will probably be never able to hold in my hands Now was the time for the most boring and longest grind in Dark Souls one, if you want to 100% the game and pick up every single item available - to farm 30 Dragon Scales... Sigh... All I will say, that after killing around 25 dragons or so, I had not seen a single drop of it... I told myself, one more run, and I'll be going to bed, and thankfully my first scale dropped (I went to bed anyway ). The next day, I have continued with the grind, and was most of the time more lucky, sometimes getting up to three drops from six available dragons. Until I have finished with gathering them, I was able to level up, up to Soul Level 80 and purchase every single piece of gear, equip and spells from various merchants, and still had about 40000 souls in stock, lol. It was the only thing, I have done in my Friday's and most of my Saturday's sessions, It could be approx. 4 or 5 hours in total, I really do not want to know. But as soon as I got to level 2 in the covenant, I have obtained all available items from them, I run victoriously to Oswald of Carim, to leave this covenant as well. So I could join another covenant in Anor Londo, before going to Painted World of Ariamis, the Blade of Darkmoon covenant, specialized in Hunting of Sinners. Funny thing is, that I have about 10 sins myself After all of that, I have moved to the Painted World, and picked up everything possible before moving to the boss, which unlocked me Bond of a Pyromancer trophy for obtaining all of the Pyromancy spells in game. Last thing, I've done before bed, was to upgrade my only Lightning weapon to the max, for another weapon trophy.

Especially the joypad :-D -
Moar Dark Souls!!! My first sessions were just about farming stuff. I needed 30 Humanities for Chaos Covenant, and during that, I got to max Item Discovery, so I have started to run around Lordran for various drops needed for one of the trophies, and to satisfy my 100% need Pretty boring, but I had to do some stuff for my job in the evening as well, so rather than attempt for new bosses, I made few short farming sessions. After I had most of the stuff, I wanted, I have gone against Ceaseless Discharge, and tried the easy kill method, luring him out of lava. Much easier than my first kill Right after that, I have turned to Human again, to fight against second Kirk's Black Phantom Invasion. Unfortunately, because I still need Git Gud, I have died at the same time as him, and it bugged out his loot drop under the texture, without any chance to pick it up, even after reload trick :/ Next day, I have gone right after Demon Firesage, and as before as with Kirk, I sucked a lot and died at the same time, losing out on his Demon Catalyst, which was an actual upgrade for me No other way to obtain that loot. Next chance will be NG+ and I hope, I'll suck less next time, so I will not need to go through whole NG++ to get this item. Centipede Demon compared to him was just piece of cake. I have summoned Solaire, and defeated him in less than 30 seconds. Reward was lava damage reducing ring and another encounter with Solaire in his quest line. Now was the time to offer the farmed humanities to Quelaag's sister to rank up her Covenant, and open a shortcut for the last part of Solaire's quest line. It took me again longer than killing both Firesage and Centipede, lol. After that I moved back to the Centipede Demon place and walk into Lost Izalith. I have killed few of the "Undead Dragon Butts" to gain two more soul levels, and attended the last encounter with Kirk, the Black Phantom. This time, I sucked less, and defeated him easily with getting one of his drops (Barbed Sword). After him I met Siegmeyer again, and helped him to kill Chaos Eater at the poison pit, and he was happy to move on another trip. After him, I went for Bed of Chaos boss encounter... Sigh... This encounter is just bad... Very bad design... I made a mistake and killed her right arm first, and that meant like 15 corpse runs to try and go for her left arm... The first time, I've played the game, I have gone for left hand first, and although I died few times, it was not an exercise in futility, like my current attempt... Every step I've tried her other arm dropped me immediately into a pit, and "YOU HAVE DIED" flashed on the screen again, and again, and again, and again... In the end I have tried to use little bit different route to the hand, but at the end of the route was big pit hole. I really do not know, how I was able to manage to jump over it, and being stunned by performing my lucky jump, I lost my concentration for a second, which meant another fireburst diractly in my face... Thankfully, I have survived with like 50 HP or so, and I finally hit her second hand... Few more seconds later, and Bed of Chaos was dead again, and I took a break from a game, to cool little bit. After the break, I went to visit Vamos, to offer him my new Embers, Snuggly the Crow, to exchange Sunlight Maggot with Old Witch's Ring and with it, I could finally have a little chat with Quelaag's Sister and made Engyi jealous Before going to bed, I have also visited the Pyromancer trainer in Blighttown, and upgraded my Pyromancy flame to the max, and I could finally move to The Duke's Archives. I killed the Blue Crystal Golem for DLC unlocking item, and later for my first meeting with Seath, in this playthrough. Waking up in the prison was the last thing of that evening.

If anyone decides to force anything on me, which I do not want, I go doing business somewhere else. There is enough companies which do not need to engage in such a shady decisions, which are happy to take my money. *shrugs* -
That's weird. I would've figured you'd take the lowest amount of damage if you just don't get hit at all. @Ring of Fog & Nito: Yeah, you have to stay on the half of the map opposite to the additional skeletons if you want to avoid aggroing them. It can be a little difficult when Nito does his big mega blast spell and you get caught in a bad position, though.I still need to Git Gud, to not get hit by bosses So I need to improvise with good gear my lack of dodging skills Actually Nito’s Megablast with MagDEF ring and Crest Shield hit me for about 80 damage when holding block, so I did not need to run around his arena at all at Soul Level 52 or so.

I have opened yesterday's Dark Soul session with Four Kings attempts. I have played little bit with gear, and found out, that I get lowest damage from them, if I use magic resistance on shield and use also magic resist ring. I have also played with different pyromancies. After three attempts, I found the best combination, and the next one, I defeated them. I found them to be much easier if I block their AoE damage in this setup and allow them sometimes to hit me with their weaker attacks and overheal myself whenever my health get under 50%. As soon as I have emerge victorious, Darkstalker Kaathe jumped out of the void, and we had small talk. I have accepted his proposition, he teleported me to Firelink Altar, but instead of placing Lordvessel, I have transported back to The Abyss and joined his Covenant. Right after that, I have offered him 30 humanities, which I've farmed before. And it took as long as most of my tries against Four Kings :D From the souls, I've acquired from them, I bought out the most expensive spell and last ring from Griggs, and now I am waiting until he moves away to search for Big Hat Logan, to continue in his questline further. After that, I've chatted little bit with Frampt, and finally placed the Lordvessel, and unlocked new areas in game. I run some small errands meanwhile, and met again with Knight of Astora, which offered me joining his Covenant, too. I have accepted, for the last covenant trophy, but I have decided to not level it yet, because I need to be level 2 at New Game+, to receive last Miracle for the trophy. So I've promptly left it at Oswald of Carim, and moved on my way to Tomb of the Giants. I ran fast through The Catacombs, and made another step in Patches and Rhea of Thorolund questlines, while killing both of her hollowed bodyguards. Small talk with Patches after that, sent him to Firelink Shrine, to became new merchant. Next encounter in line was again with Paladin Leeroy, but this time, he invaded me as a Black Phantom, and his big club, with which he almost two-shotted Pinwheel, used to two-shot me :D (In Illidans words: YOU WERE NOT PREPARED!!!). Next attempt I was more up to the task, and prepared in before the fight the Homing Soulmass spell. Four of them were enough to defeat him, he healed back after the first hit, and one shot was deflected by his shield. With that job finished, the road to Gravelord Nito was free again. But I have noticed, that I forgot to put 2 more points into Faith before the encounter, which I've needed to use for the smallest weapon with divine damage in my inventory. Oh boy, the adds at Nito will not be much fun. I did not wanted to go back to Anor Londo and farm for 40000 more souls to level up Faith so I chnged my equip to Ring of Fog and Mag DEF ring to mitigate most of his AoE attack, and hope he will use it often. Changed my spell arsenal to most powerful Pyromancies, and went back to him. Ring of Fog did help a little, with his adds attacking little bit later, so they ran very close to him. Thankfully he cast his AoE a lot this time, and with my sky high Magic Defense I could just stay in there with shield up, while he was casting it, and I got like 20-30 damage out of it. Each AoE downed all of his adds for few seconds, and in between these casts, I have just run around Nito and was slowly burning him with my spells to his second death on my first try. After clearing out the Catacombs, I went back to Undead Parish, to meet saved Rhea, and with all the souls I got from Nito, I bought out all of her spells and Divine Blessing, to continue further in her questline. Today, if i will have some time, I will need to farm another 30 humanities for Quelaags sister, to open up secret passage for Solaire's questline. After that, I can move on my way to Demon Ruins again.

Well, it is normal for a lot of people to buy the game day 1 and not play it until few more patches. For Obsidian it is pretty common to wait few patches before starting the game. I am one of these people too. Lot of games I play have this. I have not played it yet, and I have backed the game. As an example. Assetto Corsa Ultimate Edition, which I play now, the game about racing, where all you do is racing, and the achievement/trophy for completing one lap, has only 65.3% of all owners of the game... Nier Automata, first story trophy has only 85.2% of all players. Tales of Zestiria, first story trophy, only 67.7% of the game owners, or Dishonored, 83,1% of owners finished the first level. And as I said, from what I have seen, the game was pretty successful on GOG.

The most trustful sources Codex and reddit. Other than that? I know it's Codex's wishful thinking for PoE2 to flop, because of Avellone drama, but are there actually any numbers behind that claim? I am really curious, because I like both games, and I would not be very happy, if the IP would go six feet under... Deadfire Sales Well your "let me google it for you" link shown exactly same number of results speaking about the sales, as my previous search: 0 Anything available so far are just assumptions from Steam Spy, which is pretty much broken after privacy update taking place. All is just wild guess, but general consensus is: a) It probably sold less on Steam than PoE, but no one knows for sure, because of Steam Spy not working as intended. b) it sold very good on GOG, and people are guessing, that it sold better than PoE1 on the platform, but also that are just wild guesses based only on perception, how long it was on top seller chart there. c) another wild guess is that PoE2 sold better on GOG, than on Steam. But as before, no one knows for sure, because numbers were not released yet. People will probably only know how good it sold only when Obsid releases the real numbers, or maybe after Fig investors receive money for their shares, and if they decide to share with us, how much they gained/lost from their investment, we can approximate, based on the promises and charts how many copies it sold. Before that, the PoE2 flopping can be seen as anything, but wishful thinking of Codex based on the Avellone drama, which happened few days before release of the game.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS - BATTLE ROYALE

Thanks for reminding me that discussing something on the internet is a pointless waste of time, I guess. BLASPHEMY!!! -
A niche crpg game from a less popular studio with barely any advertising and lower crowdfunding money is going to outsell PoE. Great logic there. Pathfinder crpg game has a pretty big following on Paizo boards (maker of the PnP game) and the closer to release, I bet, they will write some official blogs on their mainpage to support marketing of the game. So I think, because of the popularity of the PnP, and some people buying left and right everything PF related, it has pretty nice chance of success, even though it is made by unknown developer.

From where do you get all the info, that PoE2 flopped hard?

More Dark Souls yesterday. Unfortunately, I have failed my quest to beat Smough and Ornstein solo After spending 12 Humanities trying to beat them with Solaire tanking, I gave up, and summoned real player. First two attempts failed as well, because I somehow ended up in corner with no chance to run away from Smough Hammer. Anyway, last attempt went pretty good, and even though my partner was not prepared for Ornstein in phase 2, he started to tank Smough with no damage doing to him, but thankfully he did notice, that I am trying to make some damage on Smough while running away from Ornstein and he slowly killed him while I was aggroing Ornstein all over the place Phase 2 was pretty long, we both run around like headless chickens, because Ornstein changed his primary target a lot, and no one was able to put more than one hit on him, before need to run away, while the second one was trying to get the aggro back on him again After that I can say, that this fight can be challenging also for party of two. After that, I bought out some NPC merchants, especially Big Hat Logan (I spent on him all of my souls), because soonish after acquiring Lordvessel, he leaves Firelink, and teaches another NPC, his spells. So if you buy him out, you can get the second copy of his two most powerful spells from his apprentice. Having two sets of Homing Soulmass and Soul Spear, is very useful. As my preparation for 4 Kings and Darkwraith covenant, I went to The Depths again, to farm 35 humanities. Pretty boring, but it is the only way, how to get all items, and still be able to talk with Frampt. After that, I have done also few attempts on 4 Kings, but somehow, I am not able to defeat them with soul level 50. I have defeated them in my first playthrough with probably SL 70 or so. After getting asskicked few times by them, i have decided to go again to Catacombs and go after Pinwheel, this time, with the help of Paladin Leeroy NPC summon. He almost two-shotted the boss I have also tried my luck against Hellkite Dragon over Undead Burg bridge, and with maxing my Fire Res with shield and ring, I got very low fire damage, unless he hit me from behind, where I still got one-shotted, lol. But after three or four attempts, I have found a way, how to prevent it, and slice his ass with my Enchanted Uchigatana +1 and Homing Soulmass.

You became another victim of capitalism :D

Last Dark Souls session was some backtracking to Undead Asylum, where I went for an encounter with Stray Demon. It went much much better than in my first playthrough. I almost got him on my first attempt, but I was to triggerhappy, and got destroyed with his AoE slash before I was able to land my final hit I have also encountered the poor Oscar, who gave me the keys and Estus Flask at the start of the game, who became hollowed. More spell trading, and upgrading my Uchigatana to Enchanted version with all the souls reaped there, before I went again for Anor Londo. I am not very eager to be there, but my second biggest beef (that damned Silver Knight Archers) was almost eliminated with the Use of Ring of Fog. I could go very close to them, shoot two poison arrows on both of them, and go to make a cup of tea I really hate these two **** from my first playthrough, so it absolutely do not bother me to use such a cheese move on them. Also, it takes little bit longer to kill the Sentries with Enchanted Uchigatana compared to +10 one, but still much easier, than to try to kick them with any other weapon without bleeding effect. Next in line was the traitor Knight Lautrec. First time, I was unable to kill him, without cheesing him, but this time, I have decided to try "fair" 1vs3 game against him Homing Soulmass helped me with defeating his two adds, and without them, he was not much of a challenge anymore. And that was end of a day for me, just before Ornstein and Smough. Last time, I was unable to defeat them solo, so I had to summon outside help for this boss. I have enough humanities to try out and kill them solo this time, and much better build, but I need to defeat Smough first. Ornstein as a second boss is IMO harder than Smough. We'll see how that goes today.

Yup, if you fix the typo, you can make the AI of Xenomorphs acting almost as shown in the vertical slice trailer. It shows how much Randy Pitchford cared about that game. 5 years of completely broken AI, and no one at Gearbox bothered to review, why it is broken... -
Yesterday, I defeated Quelaag. I have tried to summon Maneater Mildred NPC phantom, to see how the fight goes. And not much trouble, compared to my first playthrough As soon, I finished her, I got infested in Demon's ruin, to be able to buy new pyromancies from Engyi, and after buying out all unique stuff from Shiva, I have killed him and his bodyguard for unique shield and ring. Of course I got kicked out of Forest Hunter Covenant, but having all their rewards, I am OK with that. Next was Undead Dragon in Valley of Drakes and his loot, and then, I stopped keeping focus, and got owned by dragons there, and lost 28000 souls :D So I went suicide run for the last ring, and went up back to Firelink Shrine. Sent Laurentius to death in Blighttown (after buying out all of his spells of course), and went on my way to Sen's Fortress. Ring of Fog helped here a lot, and I died only once on my way up, because I have again lost my concentration. Also, I continued on my quest with Siegmeyer there saved Big Hat Logan and went for the boss. As before, I have also experimented with the help of NPC phantom Black Iron Tarkus, and watched, how he almost destroyed the boss alone After the job was done, I run to Firelink Shrine to purchase Homing Soulmass from Logan, and went for well deserved sleep

New Tales of Vesperia trailer. -
Few hours of Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition. Hydra and Crystal Golem enemies were much easier, than I would have thought. So no need to upgrade Uchigatana before that fight. I have walked through The Blighttown much easier this time. I have died only twice, because I did not watch my steps and was to impatient I decided to pick up some more items before Queelag, and got nice shield from Valley of Drakes, just for this fight. Before the boss, I have restored humanity and defeated also one Black Phantom NPC, to get some more souls for needed new pyromancies and two more levels into dexterity, to be able to wield the Uchigatana. Purchased some of the wares from the Forest Hunter merchant, and got summoned twice to help defeat Queelag. This game is not very tough when playing coop. The boss both time died in less than 15 seconds My attempt against her will be probably tomorrow. Need to go to bed now

I think I have quite a few very old games with at least moderately fond memories that I'm afraid to replay just for that reason. I like having the fond memories. Few years back, I have replayed all my PS2 and PS1 games (having like 12 of them helped a lot with that ) and I still enjoyed them. Most of them are just Final Fantasies and Gran Turismo games. Oh and a Godhand from Capcom, one of the most underrated games ever made. So there was very low chance that my fond memories would be stained
-
Sif defeated after number of tries. He was pretty challenging for me at Soul Level 30. I was unable to properly time dodge for one of his attacks, so whenever he performed it, he almost always killed me. At the end, I somehow managed to somehow learn to dodge it, and put him down to rest. Next step either Hydra in Darkroot Basin or finaly Blighttown. I could use Uchigatana from the merchant, I've unlocked with Forest Hunters for the Hydra fight. I think I give it few tried with my current setup first and go for Uchigatana, if it kills me few times.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS - BATTLE ROYALE
Mamoulian War replied to Blarghagh's topic in Computer and Console
The sadest thing is, that all the low budget RPGs, which SE released last 3 years are much better games than FFXV :’( Same will be true also for Octopath Traveler... -
And today, I have continued with my Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition on PS3. I have followed my own all NPC quest and interaction and followed into The Depths. The main goal was to get all items and enough Eyes of Dead drops, to be able to upgrade Gravelord Covenant to level 2 to get one more Miracle required for the Trophy. When I had enough, I have also farmed few more humanities, because, there is encounter with first Black Phantom NPC, which can drop nice sword and shield, and Humanity boosts it's droprate. Not enough of boost for me, it did not drop I will have two more chances to get them. I have to fight him in off-line mode, because as soon as I have turned into Human, I got invaded by some clown, who killed me before I found the NPC. Right after that, I have killed the area boss Gaping Dragon, and went back to The Catacombs, for covenant Miracle. As soon as I had it, I abandoned it through the NPC and then went forward to Darkroot Garden to kill the Moonlight Butterfly. I used an NPC summon, which made the fight easy as pie. After that, I have joined Forest Hunter Covenant for the chance to get the Ring of Fog. I have spent about hour or two leeching PvP, because most of the guys there were PvP builds at Soul Level 125, so my only chance to get the kill, was to be matched with another PvP maniac. My Soul Level was 30 at the time. But now I am the happy owner of shiny Ring of Fog, which will be tremendous help for the Blighttown and Anor Londo. And around 40k souls from winning the three matches required for the ring, which were promptly used to upgrade my Pyromancy Flame to +10 and buying of ring to boost my spell damage. I made few attempts against Sif, but being to late, I was to tired to do any proper attempt, so after few deaths, I have decided to go to the bed, and play more Souls tomorrow or later, depending on my work schedule.

Well, probably that's when Kojima stopped working on it.
