  1. I haven't done it yet. I like her personality (until now), and might try to romance her. But computer game romances are pretty shallow, my opinion. They can be fun, but I don't get emotionally invested in them ;-)
  2. Gorecci Street is a hard encounter. Really really hard. I always wait until I have 4 companions before doing it. And even then I partly cheese it by using corners of buildings.
  3. Only played to level 10, but Maia has a sexy voice and so far I like her non-nonsense attitude. Might go for her. There is some kind of romance between companions as far as I've heard. Or they share a bed *wink wink* at the least.
  4. My impression is that people dislike beckoners mostly because of the shortened duration summon time.
  5. I'd also like to point out that the Norwegians - who tend to get pretty high on mountain air - have made a great TV series about the Viking culture. It's on Netflix:
  6. Micro: Rogue Wizard Druid Cipher Monk? Combine and add subclass as desired. Bake for 40 minutes in char generator. Edit: Removed Priest. More support than damager.
  7. Statistics and comparison with default class. There are 5 choices for a pure chanter. No Subclass Bellower Troubadour Beckoner Skald. Now, if they were perfectly balanced (and the playerbase large enough), peoples preference should be around 20% for each. They are not. Troubadour is majorly favoured. This is because compared to default class, Troubador is plain better. There is no reason to choose default chanter. No matter what you want to do with default chanter, Troubador does it better. Troubadour can cast the same invocations, phrases have longer linger, and all it cost them is 3 seconds extra for the +1 phrase needet to cast. Troubadour outperfoms default chanter in every way. They might also outperform Skalds in melee, because of invocations cast pr combat. I have not tested Skald enough to see their crit-numbers beyond level 10. Summoners (like you) preference for Trobadour over Beckoner point towards that Beckoner is slightly undertuned. I'm not sure. Main point: Troubadour does it all well. Too well.
  8. As a dane, I'd like to point out that vikings have been misunderstood a lot. We were more helpful neighbors than warriors. See attachment. Edit: Your barbarian needs to be a berserker. It's a viking term. Skald is also norse. Means 'poet'. You could make a skald bard / berserker. a Bardserker or Skaldbarian. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berserker
  9. I've done that portion of the game a lot. I'm pretty sure she suggests going to Neketaka as our next move. Also, she always have a greeting.
  10. I've left Port Maje and - after a detour to Fort Deadlight - am on my way to Neketaka. Have a quick chat with the gods. I've not tried to interact with the steward earlier on the ship, so I don't know if I could earlier (will test), but currently I cannot interact with the steward. This is weird. Edit: Nope. She refuses to be interacted with as soon as she is on the Defiant after Maje Island. Steps to reproduce: Try talking with steward on the Defiant. 11. Remember you can playback Youtube video with 0.25x speed. If you want to do scrutiny. You can also download it and play in your favourite media player that allows for changing playback speed. Just a FYI.
  12. This is good argument. I like it. The answer is ofc chanter for all three due to versatility, but your argument is very sound.
  13. "I move very quickly in stealth over the gravel. I was a ballerina before and can tip-toe between the noisy parts with my pirouettes." Nerf stealth-speed!
  14. Yeah, it 's the bloated and gaseous corpses that does it. A great thing, that really keeps you on the toes where to step as it is wonderfully annoying.
  15. Yes I voted beckoner but my reasons are ... unorthodox 1) Beckoner is designed as the summoning subclass. I prefer to go with developers intent. 2) Roleplay. Troubadour is vailian concept. I don't like Vailian things so much on my starting character. Booo, Vailia! 3) I consider Troubador at bit overpowered. I hate to go with overpowered builds and (too much) metagaming. I like underdogs better. More challenge = More fun. Regarding all summons they should scale throughout game and be viable. But seems some summons are bugged at the moment, and don't scale as they should. This will hopefully be fixed.
  16. 1) No signaling regarding balancing of beckoner or troubadour. Might happen. Might not. 2) The boar fight is hard. I enter from the top, sneak down to stairs, pull by shooting ranged. Run west at top of stair and block with Eder while Xoti and my char shoot at boar first. When large boar uses ability (icon over head, called "Gore") Eder moves out of range or interrupts with kick, so it misses. Xoti also tries to use ability "Blessed Harvest" when large boar is bloodied. Positioning is important. Also, buy cinder grenades in Maje. They work great on boars.
  17. With Brisk Recitation on, every phrase lasts 3 seconds. You can see it on the left side "singing window" in combat. There is likely no current build with beckoner, because beckoner is unpopular.
  18. I don't know. I am not going to solo the game. I bet that most solo-players could make druid work on solo, if not all classes. Is there a class that definitely cannot solo POTD?
  19. LMAO - sweet! I'm serioulsy thinking about putting this into my signature... Yeah, one could almost get the impression that specific answer was slightly tongue in cheek and with a subtle reference to another thread
  20. I kinda know it's low priority and I don't mind that it doesn't do anything. Unless it was intended to do something. But I would love a clarification. Currently it's bugging me more than a mosquito in the bedroom at 3AM.
  21. I would hazard a guess it's related to the load-save-cycle bug that is referred in this thread regarding Oathbinders Sanctum https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/106024-30-bug-oathbinder-sactum-black-ooze-fight/
  22. Oh yeah, dont forget that you have to roleplay paladin (if you want to minmax). They get bonus if you act like their prefererred disposition.
  23. The boars - and the drake at the digsite - are especially hard fights. The boars use the ability "Gore" that will drain a lot of health if it hits. They (and Gorrecci Street) are the hardest fights early on. Druids can charm beasts if you have the "charm beast" spell. Boars are beasts. Burn and corrosive damage over time should be listed in the spell description.
