  1. You overlooked this in you recent reply-run and this bug is annoying. The bug is this: "Why does it matter that the Bellower's +PL buff has a duration?" It does nothing. It has no use. Like building house in wet cardboard, it makes no sense. Can we at the least get a clarification on what is supposed to do? Or a fix of some kind? Moe detailed description here: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/107340-400-whats-the-point-of-the-bellowing-duration/
  2. Those are clearly coastal (blue). I need an island aumaua for second playthrough. #teamhuana
  3. 1) Use ranged weapons then. Being ranged gives you more freedom to move and avoid bad stuff. I'd go down in might, up con and resolve. 2) Chanter healing phrases are good (Ancient Memory, Old Siec and others). Paladin healing also good. Druid have some healing and armor spells. 3) Dunno if paladin or druid is better for this. Chanter have lot of different phrases for buffing team. 4) Druid offensive spells, rifle and pistols are good. Can also do damage with long-range melee weapon behind teammates (pike, quarterstaff).
  4. Very true. Are you doing the sneaking or are you being snuck upon? You need a build for both situations.
  5. Paladins Abjuration should hurt/destroy enemy spirits and enemy summons. And yes, immediately. Like when you banish spirits. I have no comment on stats. It depends on whether you prefer ranged or melee, and your playing style. You want to summon things, but what to do between summoning?
  6. Welcome to the joy of restartitis. When you restart every time because you want to try new class
  7. Oh. my mistake. I thought this was mechanically impossible. Solution: Nerf Troubadour!
  8. This thread! This thread is pure gold!
  9. Wow, that gotta be a bug. Your theory about not remembering previous resistance sounds plausible. But then again, chanters is best class, so maybe working as intended
  10. Perception very important. It's like golfing. You only get one try at a hole-in-one.
  11. Sure. Best racial is ofc Death godlike! When you get close to what the french (those dirty duckers) call "the little death" you gain power levels.
  12. Ah, Paladin focus aura. The poor mans chant. For a pure summon build, I say nature godlike with ancient druid/(someclass) chanter is most wholesome. Good for roleplay (nature based support bard), and you get to have a wide variety in summons. And let's face it. The game is not that hard Ok, you lose the dank spore and the dragon. But those sporelings are sooo cute!
  13. Starfleet command: "Calling Captain Kirk. We need you and the Enterprise to boldly go where no man have gone before!"
  14. Bu also, regarding PEN. It helps being an Archer. You just need to use the tip.
  15. Linger is good, because you can benefit from two different phrases at the same time. It's like two auras running simultaneously. If you choose another phrase at level 2 and turn off Brisk Recitation, you can see it. Brisk Recitation doesn't allow linger. No, one character may only have one summon on the field at a time. If you have two characters, they can both have one summon on the field each. Two chanters can have 6 big skeletons on the field. or 12 (beckoner) small. Or druid character and chanter character can have sporelings and skeletons
  16. "Brisk Recitation" turn off linger. Try turning "Brisk Recitation" off and see how linger works. Oh yes. You cannot have two different summons at the same time from one character. This is why I also prefer beckoner. More summons at given time. There is a mod for testing build. I don't use it, but is this: https://www.nexusmods.com/pillarsofeternity2/mods/2
  17. @Roke2810 Love the second aumaua version. Can you pretty please also do him in more subdued colouring tones? He's a bit too reddish for me. Gives me bad flashbacks to staying out in the sun for too long.
  18. *RAGE!* Also, use blunderbuss modal when running Forbidden Fist and remember to step in dog**** for added affliction. Clearly Working as intended! *sigh*
  19. Its not bad. It's just a different preference. Chanter primarily does two things. 1) He sings phrases (6 seconds long) continuously. These phrases offer passive team support in a circle around chanter, like paladin aura. INT extends duration oh phrase with linger that overlap - good thing - with next phrase. Troubadour gets longer linger. 2) When he has sung enough phrases he can do an invocation. For example a summon. Only one phrase can be sung at a time. But linger from previous phrase can add second effect. Chanter cannot have three effects at same time.
  20. Paladin does not make invocations stronger. How would they? Paladin offer them/team support through aura and healing abilities.
  21. Dont play solo! Companions are fun! Test both builds! Can be done in starting area! Takes about 15-30 minutes!
  22. No. Troubador gets longer linger when Brisk Recitation is off. They overlap permanently for troubadour. The other subclasses needs to have high INT to do the same.
  23. Chanter abilities and invocations (Bottom of page) https://pillarsofeternity2.wiki.fextralife.com/Chanter Priest default abilities and spells (bottom of page) https://pillarsofeternity2.wiki.fextralife.com/Priest Wizard default abilities and spells (bottom of page) https://pillarsofeternity2.wiki.fextralife.com/Wizard Priest gets Spiritual Ally. Wizard gets Mauras Tentacles and Essential and Substantial Phantom.
