There's an argument to go full druid Lifegiver, using the spine of thicket green enchanted to +3 PL for healing and for Beast spells (which include some potent DOTs like Insect Swarm). You can pick up the Electricity talent along the way for storm spells. I find I've got more than my hands full with druid-only spells - the one thing that's missing is a speed buff, but I don't think that's necessarily worth going /wizard and losing out on the level 8-9 druid spells. Tip: use the level 1 druid spell that gives "Fit" and is kind of insta-cast to buff your nature godlike PL, if you don't have Infuse with Vital Essence or equivalent wiz spell. I think it works?

It's ok but not overly powerful. I think they are still considered ranged weapons - so maybe they work with Driving Flight? They did work with the Marksman Ring in the past. Seemed pretty weaksauce when I messed around with it on a build even trying to stack poison boosts (the helm of grotto deep, spider silk robe, alchemy skill, scion of decay etc.)

At least you can get a little better off from taking Clarity of Agony and cutting debuff time? If I remember correctly there's some other monk talent that buffs you after debuffs wear off, as well, which I recall being good with Clarity of Agony.

The overall damage isn't just higher if you go under 3 second duration, it's always higher if the duration is shorter. That's because the first tick doesn't "count" for the total damage of the DoT. The total damage starting from the second tick is the fixed damage that stays the same regardless of duration, but you get the damage of the first tick on top of that. So if each tick is bigger, you have more total damage, since you're getting more "free" damage from the first tick. The weird thing that happens when the duration goes under 3 seconds is that the first tick will do more damage than the expected total of the DoT, proportionally to how low the duration is under 3 seconds. Then the second tick does exactly the total expected damage. I've only tested that with cleansing flame, though. As an example: If cleansing flame has a duration of 6 seconds, it will do 3 ticks of 40, 40, 40 = 120 total damage. If cleansing flame has a duration of 5 seconds, it will do 3 ticks of 48, 48, 32 = 128 total damage. If cleansing flame has a duration of 1.4 seconds (1 int), it will do 2 ticks of 175, 80 = 255 total damage. Ring of mule's wit here I come baby! i assume some sort of assassin/soulblade combo is going to be good here (given rogue DoTs and I think soul annihilation not benefiting from Int?) if anyone is theorycrafting, love to see some builds built around the Ring of Mule's Wit and low Int

Wait, what? I thought from the wiki description it was -10 deflection *to self* ... it is to enemies?

changing the weapon is out of the question. That is the base being built around. I found the opposite in my testing. I found the brawler build more mobile/fun but took a while to kill everything. Brute and marauder did massive kills very fast. Swashbuckler did great (both trickster and streetfighter) but not as fast as the other tested builds. I linked some vids in one of OPs other posts. The brute cleared floor one of VTC solo within a signal duration of unbending. I have tested all this so I'm speaking from that position not supposition based on paper. Does it provide enough benefit to be worth the heavy armor Recovery malus - a I keep seeing people use "malus" for a negative effect / penalty ... is this a POE1 word that's carried over? It's not common-use English afaik.
