Cool test! One thing I've noticed on the beta patch is the increased difficulty of Veteran, at least going through Splintered Reef and Harbinger Watch - there are now a TON of mobs that I don't remember all being there before, and they all attack at once, running over even from farther away on the map. This has made it hard on my assasin/skaen testing - i'm chugging potions and using withdraw scrolls and moonwell scrolls like no tomorrow. I may trot out the older Woedica/Monk build that was originally posted when you had to unlock the subclass with a mod. https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/105569-build-woedicahelwalker-contemplative-the-fists-of-vengeance-high-dps-high-cc-melee-caster-hybrid/?hl=woedica

Great tips thanks. Engilio de Espiris could be good if (as I remember) it's an Estoc, as with Amra I'm only seeing 12 pen at present (not using food) and that's low for some enemies. I think the Watershaper Focus rod only has 10 pen. I'm wearing Miscreant Leather but definitely wondered about DoC for Guile ... i think it wil check it out. Mask of Grotto Deep - that's a great tip, thanks. I guess moving to Hand Mortar/Kitchen Stove and Cadhu Scalth (presuming you're already stacking metaphysics for Chromoprismatic Staff dmg) is a reasonable backup. Did you take the talent for an extra weapon set?

I've been trying this build out (largely based on tips above). Trying to decide between using Amra vs. WoEP for melee, and the Watershaper's Focus rod (I though the bounce plus AOE would be good for applying Rogue DOTs). With Amra, I'm having a hard time hitting the might requirement to trigger that insta-kills (even with might buffed by Minor Avatar). Opening out of stealth with Storm of Holy Fire empowered seems to be a pretty good alpha strike as well, almost more than trying to use the rod to spread DOTs. Any other tips for gear? I threw on Ajument's stalking cloak for more from-stealth goodness on the AOEs. I went with 8+2 CON (10) with Berath Blessing, but I'm thinking maybe it can be dropped even more to buff up MIG or PER, given I don't seem to be getting hit a lot (on Veteran) and the tools the build has to avoid damage / heal (including BDD).

Ancient Druid built for Spine of Thicket Greent (+3 Plant/Beast PL) looks like it could stack PL very effectively, more if Godlike. I thought Blood Sacrifice / Hellwalker was being thrown around on the forums already as OP, given you potentially generate wounds from the self-damage, and the heal over time would help hellwalker.

Quick question: I tried this again, and I landed a few Concelhaut Crushing Doom on Belranga, but (a) she seemed to take no damage from them (immune?) and (b) they had a timer (seconds remaining) showing in the effects window. I thought this spell kept hammering the target until the target died - is that wrong, or was it changed to have a duration?

That worked awesome, thanks for the tips. I respecced my healing wall tank to double as a summoner (she needed it anyways) and brought a cipher with Saint Omaku's and gave my monk windsong. Healing wall Pellagrina stood in front of the entrance chanting and summoning to keep a wall between the boss and my team, she only occasionally attacked mobs that came close while summoning skeletons and weapons. Tekehu chanted the ranged chant+mercy where she walked and spot healed/summoned. Monk and Cipher stayed at the back and auto-attacked the boss once she got down low (cipher used Driving echoes and Mindweb, Monk used only Thunderous blows+ranged auto attack). Aloth kept her paraylzed with Wall of Many Colors and helped DPS her down with various Minoletta's spells. Cipher abilities were definitely key in keeping the group up while the summons tanked, and I found staying in the entrance is ideal. Rested with Razor Skewers on my cipher/monk, mohora wraps on tank, shark soup on the two casters. Just a matter of getting her down to the point where she can be paralyzed and the fight was easy after that. Now onto the slime! This is great to hear, a solid strategy. When you say "getting her down to the point where she can be paralyzed" - is that at a certain health level? I did this once, the old-fashioned way - land a Gouging Strike, run and hide behind a pillar near the entrance and alt-tab for 20+ mins. I'd prefer to figure out how to do it with a real party like you did, just seems like a lot of consumables are needed. Once thing that surprised me was that she seems to be able to paralyze at range?

arcane dumper can be resisted, even if enemy hit us, cleric can cast lvl 1 spell suppres affliction to negate it. Wizzard arcane cleanse is the only danger for this class in whole game, but if we play priest of skaen, we can cast invisibility at the time enemy mage cast it. So Cleric/Mage is like nonkillable char, before brilliant cloack appear it was good due to limited spell usage, now it's THE best (yet using those tactics feel kind of boring for me ) also to be fair you are in the mega-minority of players who will min/max like this to get this done. I think i'm even a hard-core casual player, and I don't have the time or inclination to set this up yet.

Currently level 17, I should finish up this week. Devoted/Paladin has been a breeze, i can be completely surrounded and remain at full health. I haven't used healing potions since around level 12. Its very rare that I have to use LOH or my athletic heals. All in all, shes a machine Nice to hear! What weapon(s) did you use? Gear? Stats? Also, how did you handle Fampyr Cave, Splintered Reef, and Nemnok cave(s)?

Hi team ... I've been reading the Neoseeker guide to S/S/S dlc: https://www.neoseeker.com/pillars-of-eternity-ii-deadfire-seeker-slayer-survivor/walkthrough given all the discussion of the rewards / equipment that has happened here already, does anyone have a suggested powergaming focus (to get the best loots!) of how to choose the rewards when/where they come up? Also any further tips for any of the battles?

Again for the slower among us, can you give a bit more visibility to what is happening here. You are using Deltro Cage helm and standing in a Great Malstrom you cast from a scroll ... and since it hits you, it gives you a lash? What are you self-bufifng with to get those numbers, besides the helm? And don't you need Arcana 15+ to use the scroll? Also, I presume this is PoTD?
