A case can be made where the longer a fight goes, the more bad **** can happen, but such calculated planning by only offensive-based gear can only go so far on the spot. Often the route of a number crunching defense wins out in fights that are unavoidably long. I'm sure at some point people have encountered that one "tank" after annihilating most of the encounter that just whittles you down to the wire when your offensive capabilities is just not enough. Then again having wet sock stalemate fights is also a thing with tank vs tank lol. You just need meta-knowledge armor!

By gun do you mean just specifically Arquebus or all other gun types? The posted multiclass builds allow for good early progression for majority of the game. Then you get into the area of pure martial classes like monk and barb whose late power level abilities are insane in crowd aoe with hand mortars.

Elaborate please? Because he can shatter pillars Just kidding, Monk is pretty strong in the beta because they have best autoattacks, better when u pick Nature Godlike. Also once u upgrade Torment Reach it does aoe Stun, as a Shattered Pillar u generate wound by damaging enemy, so u can spam aoe Stun which is pretty cheesy. His ultimate is pretty strong too, Whipser of the Wind = 6 full attack against 6 enemy and as a Shattered Pillar u can also spam these. Monk also has nice modal and passive, but sine u usually spam all your wounds, it won't do much. A Nalpazca is pretty strong too because with high alchemy drug last very long. U can generate wound per 3 sec with drugs on. Pretty sweet when combine with 10 Int, 50% fire damage bonus from modal, u can also stack another 30% lightning lash from Lightning strike. Or pick Swift Flurry + Passive to stack 25+33% chance to do extra hit when crit. Overall Monk has good abilities from early game to late game. Is Shattered Pillar still strong - or has it been nerfed? It's literally the only thing that makes me think about playing Monks, because I really don't like the concept of taking hits to do damage. It's fallen out of favor a lot since wounds only generate on normal attacks and the 5 wound cap turns off a lot of builds that depend on the stat bonuses from Duality of Mortal Presence. You can still play a ranged monk that can generate and hold wounds via Dance of Death and/or you can use a Nalpazca with drugs to generate wounds as well. Both options don't require the monk having to be hurt to generate wounds.

:Insert most interesting man meme here: I don't always roll a pure martial class, but when I do, its with hand mortars. The ranged/melee weapon trick you can do to make hand mortar nukes work for pure rangers' aoe attack can also work to some extent with fighters and Clear Out ( its upgrades too). Blunderbuss/mortar in primary and melee in offhand. It's fun to watch knocking them back and seeing them fly around as they chain react with anything they get near to. You can't engage anything, but that doesn't matter much since you're going to be pushing them all around anyway and its pretty cheap lol. Now we just need to figure out a way for pure paladins to join in on this.

Kill Harmke, Sacrifice Devil to pool. I'm not sure what the game code translates that to, but saccing devil via poe history maker still has given me the BP. Never tried doing it in that order since you can only create it in a poe1 game and the history maker does the companion sacrifice check first before their personal quest so there might be an exception with the story flags.

Did you ever wanted to use druid elemental claws, but not as a druid? Well now you can and I am 100% sure this is a bug. Probably a reason why we can't use summon weapons as a druid. :9 Why Fury? Because it's the only druid claw that is somewhat unique in comparison to the slash and pierce types of the other forms with its ranged shock type damage and +1 bounce. The other shapeshift forms' weapons do not retain their form's passive or active abilities (eg. boar dots, cat frenzy), BUT they do retain all the animal grunting from attacking. So feel free to fabricate those other claws using this technique if you're into that kind of thing. Make a Sorceror. Level it up to level 7 (PL3). Learn or get a grimoire that has Concelhaut's draining touch. Get into battle and shapeshift then use Concelhaut's draining touch. Recommended that you do it near the end of the battle since the druid's weapons will bug out when trying to weapon attack anything after that and you can't switch out your weapons unless you cast another weapon summoning spell. End combat. Repeat process for a pair. Equip elemental claws on another class and enjoy! Pew pew pew Notes: Receives ranged damage and Heart of the Storm PEN bonuses. Does not receive extra bounce from ranger's driving flight or unarmed proficiencies. Sells for 150cp. Can't attack your teammates with it unless berserker. Also, I think it starts to mess with your selection boxes. D:

Getting all those PTSD flashbacks from FFXIV's initial dead on arrival status when they tried a "classless" system after having established solid archtypes that we were all used to in its predecessor. It sounds so much more hectic then deadfire's rampant imbalance on release that will probably get slammed down into a few skillsets like now anyway.

I think you're referring to Magran's challenge in the secret menu, the magran looking face below all the options in the main game screen. The challenge is basically you can't slow down or pause the game, which I guess plays to "realtime", but you can still get around this to take a breather by going to the game menu, character sheet, etc. It's totally doable since I've done it and I'm sure others have as well. If you practice a faster speed in regular mode prior, i found it not too bad since the normal game speed is pretty lenient after getting used to it and it pretty much plays like an RTS game, but targeting and selecting can be a bit annoying especially in situations when having to stop your characters with a LOT of stride from running all over the place and getting disengage attacked everywhere. A lot of times I find myself playing in speeded up mode anyway so if you're used to a lot of speeded battles it might not matter much except in the cases where you are setting up your queue of commands in critical moments (eg. beginning of battle, big boss damage, etc. ).

Right, so they gave this boss the Skullcrusher lol. Actually that sounds like an interesting mechanics. Way better than “moar hp moar armour more defence” This reminds me of the time when I was having AI do most of the fight during Ukaizo guardian and didn't realize its consume essence gets upgraded to give an injury around 33% in. RIP Eder.

Yah :D I noticed it on my loremaster when I saw my fireball somehow had a lightning lash added to it. The other items that have a blanket damage lash that I know of is Blightheart soulbounded to a Wizard for a corrode type and of course the well known Deltro's helm's lightning type. So the next level chillfog after that would be to have deltro's helm and have something shock you. !!

Usually I just max it out since my watcher is usually my cache/trap spotter especially if I am soloing. More perception is nice just so you have as much of an edge when it comes against high defense enemies when the chillfog rolls around and you don't have your skellies shrugging you off when you miss them.

Actually it doesn't even seem the Floating Hangman quest locks you on the Principi questline, at least not till you finish it AND come back to report to either Aeldys or Furrante. I'm rocking on the Fonferrus, swinging Engoliero de Espirs and doing quests for other factions (this is with Aeldys dead and quest given by Furrante). Indeed. It is entirely possible to be rocking both the Fonferrus and the Blade of Takowa within your fleet in an RDC playthrough. EDIT: Now there's an idea to possibly break the game. I wonder what would happen if I took the Fonferrus, threw in with the RDC to get the Blade of Takowa, then switched back to the Fonferrus and made for the Ofecchia Channel...? Kind of a side note, but in one betrayal playthrough of the game after I took over the Principi for Aeldys in Dunnage, I proceeded to betray Aeldys immediately and gibbed her which made her bug out and go back into her cutscene dialogue of "us" ruling the Principi where I then received a 2nd scordeo's edge and promptly murdered them all over again. That was one hell of a bug out since I murdered Pim too in the hall and he was the "final" faction fight that appeared in Ukaizo, but he never aggroed or talked as I walked past him lol. That's right Pim bro, you don't want to deal with these double scordeo edges. One day I'll probably investigate further if I can replicate what happened to see if it was just a one-time bug or a condition of triggers that made it go the way it did since you have your fingers up in everyone's business at that point that something must have conflicted.

I usually use white worms with Sasha's empower and with energize up which should bring me up to around 14-15 PEN, which is decent for a first wave of dead bodies. With just energize it middles around 13ish PEN, but since it's supplementary damage the phrases are prioritized to summons and buffs first. I mean I literally can't fight him. He is invisible and talks then there is no fight. I know this was a common issue before not sure if it was fixed. Never had that happened to me before If you have a party, then a lot of great combos can be done as long as you have a chanter or chanters to bring the fuel and armor debuff. I personally like the craziness of a berserker since all vessels become fair game in the chillfog and with a few chanters the PEN on super high armored targets isn't so bad when they are perma-paralyzed and being whittled down by like 20-40 chillfogs.

The combo is a love and hate relationship for me. It's so damn strong, but in the back of my mind I can't stop to think how hard the nerf hammer would hit it considering how it trivializes so many things. Yet here I am with a party that has developed a dependancy on the combo as the backbone to its shenanigans.

I'd have to agree that the romance feels forced and way too early like I just met Tekehu and talked up to his favor after he joined my party then suddenly he gives me the whole fish in the sea deal as soon as I exit the temple. Maia is just about as bad too. I found it a bit amusing that the Deadfire companions are considered attractive to many of Eora's inhabitants according to their various histories and interactions, which adds to the inevitability that someone is going to bang at some point. It inspired me to have a playthrough as the "ugly" watcher and his/her "hot" friends. If there was a romance I'd love to see played out more, it would be the watcher and Aedalys although the watcher and Modwyr would be hilarious.
