  1. On the bright side, this would mean we can sacrifice Jar Jar to Skaen. I could live with the -1 to intelligence his Effigy's Resentment would give. That is a good point. Even benevolent characters would do it. Sacrificing Jar-Jar Binks would raise your reputation with all factions.
  2. For me when I first started Pillars I hated it. I did not grow up with the crpg's the that inspired this game. The closest game I played that was similar was Dragon Age: Origins. The beginning is very slow and the game kept dumping info at you all of which you had to pick up on. When I heard Odema talk, he may as well have been speaking a different language and he expected the player understand everything he said. Pillars was doing a lot more telling with their than showing. To me, when I first saw dead people I felt like there was no real urgency. "Oh I can see dead people, that's nice." The character was apparently going insane but I felt no real urgency to go on. I remember at one point I was exploring Gilded Vale and I just thought to myself, "I should just settle down here instead of doing the main quest,". The sense of urgency didn't kick in until i met with Maerwald but even then the risk still felt distance. I stopped after I did several side quest in Defiance Bay. I felt no motivation to continue and it was always sneaking in the back of my head. In two years I would retry it. I got really invested when I was investigating the Leaden keys activity. I wish that the beginning of the game had the same pull that act two presented. I still think that Pillars of Eternity is a great game and it deserves the respect it has gotten but when I hear that somebody can't get into the game, I don't blame them.
  3. Not the worst combo. Worst combo would be if EA bought Obsidian. Eventually squeezed of all potential until Obsidian in no more and becomes consumed by EA.
  4. I've been using the treadmill more trying to get my stamina up. Also just hooked up a second monitor to my pc.
  5. What is the difference between a sexy lobster and run down bus stop?
  6. It also doesn't help that Battlefield 5 is sandwiched between two major releases ( Call of Duty Black Opps 4 and Red Dead Redemption 2). In fact, preoder numbers for Battlefield are tracking behind Call of Duty by more than 85 %. https://www.cnbc.com/2018/08/20/cowen-predicts-eas-battlefield-v-will-be-a-serious-disappointment-citing-weak-pre-orders.html
  7. I was wondering what other people picked for their first character in pillars of eternity and what factored into that decision. After playing the game with your first character what race did you choose for your second play through and what determined that.
  8. Thanks again for the suggestions you guys! I think that my Saturday night will be quite an entertaining one
  9. Yes! Oh perhaps different skin tones for godlike?
  10. I guess what I am looking for a flick that is little outdated with content that hasn't aged well, in hilarious or awful ways. I am sorry if I wasn't clear.
  11. Anybody have any suggestion for cheesy horror movies?
  12. This so relaxing, thank you for posting this!
  13. True. I think that if such an ending were considered the Devil of Caroc getting an upgraded should be a continuation of a her quest or a completely new quest. She hates her body more than anything and I think if there was some way for her to come to terms with her situation(maybe even embrace it) then I think it could work. I just can't stand to see her that upset. When she told me about she became a construct I felt her pain, she really wants out of that body.
  14. I'm playing Stardew Valley again. It is so relaxing.
  15. I could see that possibility, there are other games that require certain items to trigger different endings (ie bloodborne).I don't really know what kind of ending the Devil of Caroc would have because her ending is determined by the her either sating her blood lust but finding not satisfaction or leaving her unsatisfied in quest for revenge. It would seem out of place if an outside upgrade were to determine her ending instead of her quest outcome.
  16. The most vivid nightmare was one with teeth. I remember I was sitting in a dim lit room with a woman on a rocking chair she was trying to say something but I don't know what. Her teeth started to turn into black tar, it started it pour out of her mouth choking her. I ran away trying to yell but teeth started to sprout. What emerged looked like elephant tusk that began grow outside my mouth. The teeth grew so big that my jaw snapped and mouth was opened at a 180 degree angle. Then I died or something don't remember the rest.
  17. Have you tried going somewhere else, a change of scenery is good. Maybe go to a park and read a book or have lunch somewhere. Try opening up some window and walking around the house or doing some light stretching. I know those days all too well.
  18. Dragon Age Origins would fit the bill nicely. Although it is not out yet, keep an eye out for Pathfinder:Kingmaker it looks right up your alley.
  19. I'm sorry for your loss. As for me... -My Nintendo 64 with all my games for it, pokemon stadium and snap, super smash brother and Mario 64 -3/4 of my wii games, some real gems like Super Mario Galaxy, Harvest Moon, and Rune Factory just to name a few Although I didn't sell it I have to give a eulogy for my first laptop. When I was younger I didn't know cleaning was a thing you needed to do...It rusted from the inside. RIP first laptop you will be missed.
  20. You don't need to bring him along, you just need to trigger the the two rest. After you have spoken with Gallawain and his homies, talk to Durance. That should complete the quest. As for exhausting dialogue I don't know but I would do it anyway to be sure.
  21. Which one is that? I think I've done all of them. I decided to go there to get Grieving Mother and finish Eder's personal quest, and was about to head into Cliaban Rilag. I believe it is the side quest famer plight. When you go to meet the ogre you will not be greeted with an introduction, he will act like you have already fulfilled a part the quest when you didn't.
  22. I know that when speaking to Imalt in Ondra's Gift yields some dialogue but other than the White March there isn't a lot of unique ixamitl dialogue.
  23. On a note of side quests, there is one particular in quest in Dyrford that can become bugged if you do it during/ after the first act of the white march
