  1. In FS - "Ah, another involuntary invitation to another world...and I'm to assume this, eyeball, is to blame?" Gets me every time. [i'm remembering the quote off the top of my head don't crucify me]
  2. Ohhh you reminded me...W3 has the hottest video game babes ever! And I'm not even into that sort of thing
  3. I hear you. I typically only play custom MC RPGs, but I had to give W3 a try. Lots of impressive things going on there, esp the main story and a few side quests, but the controls are janky. And there is almost too much to do.
  4. Next you're gonna tell me you loved Witcher 1 & 2 but not 3.
  5. For me it's the tongue and cheek humor and the weird camera that bothers. I like the darker tone of Pillars. But the reactivity is off the charts. I'll see how it fares but I already starting playing PoE2 this morning haha.
  6. There are alternate paths for stealth in some cases. For example, Hosango, which I just completed without a single fight, except the two very first Naga, with a mix of stealth and diplomacy. Now not every mission has stealth paths, moreso diplomacy, but alternate paths are still availble whether intended or unintended through creative means.
  7. Veteran is a great sweet spot. I think PotD should be changed to 'No Pen' because you will be seeing it all the time and the hordes on PotD get obnoxious so I'd say start with Vet.
  8. INB4 talking nonsense. I didn't say D:OS 2 sucks. I just said that calling DO:2 the best RPG ever is like calling Jamie Oliver the best chef ever (meaning that most popular != "best"). If I would imply that D:OS 2 sucks that would also mean that Jamie Oliver sucks as a chef - which he obviously doesn't. Please try to avoid dishonesty when reciting people. I was only saying that as a yardstick for the ridiculous. I agree with you. I'm going to try and play DoS2 again as I couldn't the first time. But there are reviewers and lists that put it up with the best. It also has very high Metacritic critic and users scores. So we may not like it, but it doesn't mean everyone else is wrong or not in the right mind. I mean we put up with the insane amount of Deadfire bugs so maybe we are the crazy ones
  9. It's not just Ngunta. The entire powderhouse quest hangs up a ton of stuff. It's one major bug they really need to fix if this game is gonna make it console.
  10. I disagree - BG2 was pretty easy ... it could be hard but in general the main game was a breeze. Sorry late to the convo ... Yes, for you. BG is easy IF you understand all the systems. When I first played it as a kid I didn't give anyone armour because I couldn't understand why it lowered my armour value. I played after playing NWN which does the exact opposite... does it explain in the game anywhere about THAC0 and Armour Class? I don't remember. oh ... I mean yeah if you didn't play D&D / AD&D it would be quite a mean spirited surprise ... or if you didn't know haste was a solution for about 90 percent of tough combat encounters Or choose Breach for their Mages/Sorcerers
  11. At least the stealth in Deadfire is much better. It was unbelievably crap in PoE1.
  12. Wheres that gif of the shaking Duff beer can when you need it
  13. So in my opinion, the number one bug fix that needs to be implemented and finalized (i.e. it doesn't keep coming back) is effects lingering when they shouldn't. I'm sorry to come across on irate, but how after a year, is this still a problem? 1. Equipment no longer equipped providing bonuses 2. Night or day bonuses applying regardless To give you two recent examples - 1. Whale of a Wand abilities being available to my MC who only equipped it once. 2. Steeled in Darkness and Lunar Heart applying during the day. I'm going to keep pestering the devs bc this is not right and needs to be fixed. If this does not fit with the polishing theme, feel free to ignore
  14. The leveling up idea is GENIUS I can't believe I haven't seen it discussed before.
  15. Yeah I'm not sure why some merchants leave and come back but others are there all night.
  16. Yeah it's not bad. Requires some meta knowledge, but I enjoyed it. From a dungeon crawling perspective, I'm not sure how gold translates into fixed equipment, unless you have the handy dandy pocket blacksmith
  17. The only person I know confirmed to have tried Pillars and then shortly abandoned it was because it was too hard. If there is anything making this game (or at least the first one - I've never tried Deadfire's lower difficulties) inaccessible it's because it was made for and by powergamers. People who just want to pick a character to RP and click things to death are intimidated by how punishing it is.Wow. I cannot disqualify anyone's experience, but I cannot see how this could be true. I am not a powergamer, I have absolutely no interest in it and I frankly find it a bit strange that some people take powergaming so far. I just want to pick a character and see the story, and PoE definitely wasn't too hard. If anything, it was too easy. Pathfinder: Kingmaker is way too hard for people like that. But not PoE. Did you finish PoE1 on PotD? I found it nearly impossible without abusing kiting and stuff that I don't want to abuse. So I stuck w Veteran. PoE2 is balanced very nicely, having fun kn Veteran and PoTD with challenges. I would say both games allow both casuals and powergsmers to enjoy. To the poster whose friend who quit PoE1 - did he find it hard even on the lowest difficulties?
  18. Jaheria was a great char and romance but having to wait for elasping time was annoying. But what do you people know, anime gfs aren't real ppl
  19. How is the Furyshaper as a single? It's been fun as a multi from my experience.
  20. That's the point:https://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Scourge_of_Bezzello Eh...never felt the need to use crossbows or arbalests. But I hear you, maybe others might.
  21. For me it was the hardest fight in the game and I just ended up skipping it bc I didn't see a pt.
  22. I know I'm a broken record, but the DLC expanded on the lore so much so that I think there is even more opportunity for Pillars to continue it's uptrend.
