  1. Yeah the urgent main quest vs exploration conflict continues to plague this genre.
  2. I think the lackthereof creates a disconnect between the combat and non combat worlds. I love how BG2 had spells like Detect Traps and Friends.
  3. Everything's all good and dandy until you start sacrificing ppl for your grand plan:p
  4. The weird thing with Deadfire is the writing on it's own is amateurish, but the voice acting is quite good. Together they work, surprisingly. Sometimes. Usually. But no ones got time for every.single.convo.voiced.
  5. I want to give P:K a shot, but it needs a year or so to cook. PoE2 too really. But overall I felt PoE1 had a great main story, but is not as fun play as PoE2.
  6. Superb costs 12k if that helps. That's all I can remember off the top of my head.
  7. I feel like the perk isn't working. I'm not seeing any difference. It's cool Obsidian, I have 60 - 100 hrs to kill to complete a playthrough whenever I'd like Ps there is STILL the bug of a previous weapon modal staying after switch. Is Obsidian made up of 16 yr old Russian hackers?! I know ppl say it's not that buggy of a game, but it really is.
  8. If you liked PoE1 youd be insane not to buy PoE2. If PoE1 is your awkward, yet deep emo friend, then PoE2 is your fun loving uncle. It may not be as philosophical as PoE1 but it's a hell of a lot more fun to play imho.
  9. Soooo...I just bought an Acer Predator Helios 300 laptop (wow, what a mouthful). And Pillars 2 looks INCREDIBLE. I'm running it maxed it. Great looking game. One of the most noticeable differences I noticed is the darkness. It's much more foreboding.
  10. It exceeded my expectations in graphics, music, humor, itemization, multiclassing, and adventuring. It disappointed in the writing, lack of character and worldly reactions, anything and everything related to the Gods (preDLC) and the #1, not being to have deeper discussions with companions and the Gods, but rather the same dialogue choices resulting in the same decisions. Overall I do love the game but it is a bit inconsistent.
  11. There was also a def bug where the Guardian would be invisible but still talk.
  12. First playthrough I killed Scy and didn't fight the Guardian
  13. Rogue/Monk combo is somewhat squishy and requires a lot of micro-management, no? Squishy but deadly
  14. PoE2 is a very good game, even great, but like many before, and many after, it hasn't reached BG2 heights.
  15. WTF, LOL! What level were you? I used Duskfall on my main throughout the game - with Modwyr - so it's end-game for me. Diplomatic solution Lvl 6 (Berath's Blessing).
