  1. My understanding is that it wasn't just the engine they had trouble with, but the concept and the plot, etc. as well. Torn had promise, I would say, but is probably best left where it is. Perhaps elements of it lived on, and continue to live on, in games that were made since... which is maybe a more fitting tribute than to try and resurrect the game itself.
  2. Oops. I'll just shut up now. :">
  3. Hmmm, but it was Obi-Wan who killed Jango. Boba, being the badass bounty hunter he is, may have kept tabs on Obi-Wan
  4. Am curious about why Boba Fett can't be in league with Jabba the Hutt prior to Han skipping town? What is known about Boba between the time he watched his father killed by Obi-Wan to the time he grew up? Maybe he was on Tatooine trying to track Obi-Wan down, and working for Jabba was good cover.
  5. I quite liked Visas, but she did seem kinda weak in combat. I dunno, maybe I just didn't give her good force powers, etc.
  6. Tough choice. I've only played the game once so far, and G0-T0 was a non-entity in it. Yes he was in my party, and there were a couple of cutscenes, etc. But I never talked to him, or took him with me whenever I left the Ebon Hawk. The only time he factored into the game at all was when it wasn't my choice. So in that sense I could say he's worse. He may as well not have been there. I talked to Disciple alot. Several times, he was one of the two companions I chose to take with me from the Ebon Hawk. I made him a Jedi, etc. All of that interaction was enough to decide I didn't really like him all that much. So in that sense, I could say he's worse. EDIT: I choose not to vote.
  7. K3 Thread Is Here
  8. Maybe he should tinker with episodes 1-3 and take out the midichlorian references.
  9. Got no problems with the changes made to the original trilogy. Recently watched all six movies in a short period as well, and episodes 4 to 6 still hold the same magic for me that they ever did. Having said that I'm glad George stopped where he did. If they had put any reference to midichlorians in Yoda's speech about the Force in ESB I think I'd have to try and forget I'd ever seen the movies at all.
  10. Leafs fire Pat Quinn Dissapointed, not really surprised though. Someone always takes the blame when a team underachieves. And I think the Leafs did underachieve to a point. They weren't picked to do very well in the "new" NHL this year, but they were supposed to be good enough to at least make the playoffs. Personally I was hoping Ferguson would be the one to go, but oh well.
  11. Finished Half-Life 2 the other day. Was kinda disappointed by the ending, but overall found it pretty entertaining. Can't decide now whether to really try and get into Morrowind or play the Kotors again.
  12. Too bad some of the teams the Leafs were chasing hadn't lost a game once in awhile but unfortunately the Leafs put themselves in the position where they had to basically go undefeated for the remainder of the season just to make the playoffs. Give them credit though, they did give it a hell of an effort, and it would have been nice to see them carry that into the first round. Ah well, the 'Canes and Sens must both be breathing a little easier right now.
  13. No Death Star. Palpatine made the mistake of building a second one, and look what happened to him. I know the Kotors are set long before the films, all I'm saying is the Death Star should be/have been unique. While they're at it, get rid of swoop bike racing and shooting fighters from the Ebon Hawk. Except for Pazaak, mini-games were lame.
  14. they are? sweet!!! (w00t) but i still think they should have made TSL dark side cannon, it fits the settings better. the exile gets kicked out of the order when she goes to them for help, wanders the galaxy without the force for ten years, then kreia finds her and gives her the force back. with the sith having almost wiped out the jedi, the exile, still bitter over the jedi not understanding the war and abandonning the jedi who went to fight, decides not to play hero. she sees her opportunity do make them see where they went wrong and kills them. and yes it may be star wars, but im sick of all the jedi being so preachy and the pc accepting this. i wish some character would come along and show the jedi exactly what he/she thinks of them. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I played the Exile as female, so I'm gonna say "she" from now on. I thought it was her choice to leave the Order? Did I misunderstand? I'm not saying you're wrong because I probably did. I intend to play the game again, one of these days. I think it makes more sense for her to be LS, though. Before the war, she was a good Jedi, meaning highly skilled, adept with the Force blah blah blah. She simply disagreed with the Council's decision to wait-and-see regarding the war. Understandable. I'd disagree with it myself if I was in her place. But I liked the way the LS story unfolded. It showed more wisdom on the Exile's part, and less pettiness. Anyway, I'm gonna play the game as a male Exile next time. I didn't realize until I'd left the academy that the Handmaiden won't accompany a female Exile, and that I'd been stuck with Disciple. And, ummm, didn't we have not one but two female villains in TSL?
  15. Only played the game once so far, as a LS female Exile... so never had Hanharr in the group. But he seemed more interesting than Zalbaar. Agreed on G0T0 though. Disciple was...meh. Soon as I finish Half-life 2 I'm gonna play the kotors again, I think. Handmaiden this time for sure.
  16. I always thought it was too bad you couldn't tell Dak'kon the truth about the Circle. Also, glad you got more out of the game this time around. You missed alot the first time, just like I did. In fact some of the things you learned this time, I never found out till the 3rd or 4th time I played. After that, I was using Infinity Explorer pretty extensively.
  17. Nothing, except every time he talked I wanted to break out the cheese to go with the whine. Only thing that redeemed him as a character was his reaction to the Revan thing. It was well done, and more believable than some of the others. They were all kinda, "oh you're him? *shrug* what's next?"
  18. Yes. But Carth deserves to be put out of my misery.
  19. I would still kill Carth. As soon as possible after waking up on Taris. In fact, just as he is about to enter that escape pod, I'd push him backwards and shut the door.
  20. What Bokishi said. Twice.

  22. Tough choice. K1 was a complete product, but I knew about K2 being buggy, unfinished and having cut content before I bought it, so for me it's a non-issue. I liked both stories, and most characters in both games. On one hand, K2 would win just because Carth was only a bit player, but on the other hand I didn't care for all the times we were forced to play characters other than the Exile for long stretches. Hmm. Nope, K2 wins out for better writing in the end.
