  1. 321k ... i have to look at the keyboard as i type. i took a typing class in high school, but that was over 20 years ago. Thing i remember best about that class was my teacher. she was very well endowed, which probably should have made me better at not looking at the keyboard as i typed... sigh, oh well.
  2. Not me, I'm quitting gaming forever. Oh, nevermind.
  3. I'd forgotten about this game, so I really feel no sense of loss. Got plenty of games to keep me going in the meantime anyway
  4. That sounds like an excuse to do whatever the hell you want, and damn the consequences. I don't think that's how it's supposed to be.
  5. I've tried out so many different character builds in the NWN2 OC that i'm getting bored with the beginning, so I'm taking a break from it. Today I re-installed some older games: PS:T, Myth and Myth II, and Halflife 2. Right now playing HL2 and enjoying the bit with the waterboat.
  6. Being able to repair an item completely could be dependent on your repair/craft skill, and materials available. It's not necessarily a bad thing if this were the case.
  7. nobody makes news in florida, heh. for example, the only time luongo made any news in florida was when he got traded.
  8. In PS:T's case, you can edit the torment.ini file and play the game in windowed mode. The mouse control takes a bit of getting used to, but the game looks great. I haven't got it installed at the moment, but I believe you just have to change "Fullscreen=1" to "Fullscreen=0" ...something like that.
  9. See, I'm not talking about one that actually does that. One that rips off the idea of multiple worlds that start intersecting each other. Something more original than Stephen King's series because I don't see that working without the characters from the story. Sure it could work. In fact if you're gonna call it the Dark Tower RPG then it has to have elements from the books.
  10. I think this is an excellent idea, if its done right, so yes, Stephen King would have to be involved in the writing for sure. I loved the mythology of the gunslingers, and the spoken language, particularly in the first and fifth books.
  11. Now if the Leafs can unload one of their high-priced defencemen (McCabe, Kubina), maybe they can go after a good forward, like Ryan Smyth.
  12. Heh, no problem. I had to google it to be sure, myself. You can still buy Myth: The Total Codex on Amazon, which contains Myth, Myth II, and the official strategy guides for both games, but no Myth III. From what I read it was after Myth II that Bungie got sold to Microsoft, and the rights reverted to another developer.
  13. Yeah.... Myth three, while a difficult game, was a mess storyline wise and it wasn't all that fantastic. Stick with myth two. There was an expansion released for Myth II called Chimera, with 8 new levels. I remember downloading it off Bungie's mainpage (took all night on dialup), but I could never get it to work properly. Never got to play Myth III, which was called The Wolf Age, and took place 1000 years before the first two games.
  14. I've been re-watching some animated films this past week. First it was The Incredibles, then Shrek 1 and 2, and last night was Finding Nemo. The Seagulls always crack me up, what can I say. Oops, also re-watched Batman Begins. Tonight I'm going to begin watching Band of Brothers.
  15. One thing I hope there's less of, is playing party members other than your own character for long stretches of time. This droid conversation made me think of the times I had to play droids and other party members too often in Kotor II. I invested the time in my character, making her a good jedi. That's who I want to play.
  16. I think Detroit could have beat the Canucks too. Don't like to say it, I was kinda cheering for Vancouver, but Detroit would have shut them down too.
  17. Ouch, and on the Obsidian forum too. Sorry, couldn't resist. Anyway, I've played Morrowind for about a half hour. I haven't played Oblivion yet, and have no real desire to, but I still have hopes for Fallout 3, and I dunno even why I do. Maybe it's just happiness that the franchise isn't dead. Sure, we all wanted to see Van Buren make it, but we can't change what is, and anyone who isn't an employee at Bethesda and who already knows exactly what Fallout 3 will or will not be, is still just speculating.
  18. Congrats to the ducks. I didn't get to watch the game as I was working, but I understand that Ottawa steered a couple goals into their own net. I figure anytime a team does that in an elimination game, they must want to go home. Anyway, now the offseason free agent/trade period begins... well soon, and apart from the playoff races toward the regular season it's my favourite time of the hockey year.
  19. This game looks like a fun diversion. I'm all for minions running around with pumpkins on their heads.
  20. You could be right, Spider. In any case, not so bad. I just watched the opening movies for fallout and fallout 2 again (on Youtube), and they were as good as remember. As just a general comment. They didn't even show any actual in game footage. Imagine that, folks.
  21. I think it's new. Someone mentioned over on the Bethesda forum that you can hear a slightly different inflection in his voice this time around, and I have to agree. It did sound a little different. Ah well, doesn't matter really .
  22. ^ Yeah, but did you know that was the big enemy of FO2 the first time you saw the opening? Obviously this teaser likely isn't the opening movie for Fallout 3, but I just meant that when I saw the opening movies for Fallout and Fallout 2 for the first time, they created the atmosphere of the game well. This teaser also does that, as far as I'm concerned, mainly by, as you say, using familiar elements.
  23. Don't think it matters what Bethesda does, as it's near impossible to please the hardcore Fallout community. Oh well, the teaser was decent enough. I think it did a good job of capturing the atmosphere of Fallout and Fallout 2's opening movies. Am looking forward to seeing some in-game footage, and hearing more about the gameplay (the really important stuff) in the coming months. Edit: Had a link to a post on Bethesda's Fallout forums about someone wanting a WoW-style MMORPG that I was going to copy here, but the site seems to be down at the moment.
  24. Have been messing around with character builds in NWN2. I feel that I've nerfed my fighter somewhat, by making him a frenzied berserker, and I'm getting my butt kicked doing the City Watch quests. Can I leave them aside and do some other optional party member quests... like the Skymirror thing, or dealing with Neeshka's troubles?
