  1. They aren't making Icewind Dale 3. They would want to make it though, but it's up to Atari who owns the license.
  2. Clearly this is the end of the world. Time to go looting...
  3. They didn't wrestle it. Some accountant? at Interplay ****ed up and they lost the license. All they had to do was to pay for the renewal of the license... I believe at this point quite a lot of folk form BIS left.
  4. Matt-C makes even the most hardcore NMA/RPG Codex members look like completely reasonable beings. (No offence to any NMA members, some of you are really great).
  5. That game is still actually alive? They bumped all these years money and money into this turd, yet canceled Crucible. Go figure. Because clearly we need more Alien shooters since 3? AvP games isn't enough. I wonder if they will cancel the Aliens games Creative Assembly is working on as well and make another AvP.
  6. That game is still actually alive?
  7. So pretty much what you are implying is if a game doesn't have top notch graphics the company is bad in other aspects as well (because of some **** quality youtube videos and a game using outdated GameBryo engine). Yeah, graphics don't make the game, but apparently it tells everything about the company Show me a company that makes a game using Bethesda's Gamebryo look spectacular on 360/ps3 in a very limited time with certain budget restraints put up by the publisher (they can't hire gazillion artists to work on the game). Alpha Protocol looked just like pretty much any other Unreal engine game that came out in 2009.
  8. Facts of life: No matter how good looking the game is, someone will call it a PS2 game. I wish every gamer would be forced to start their gaming "career" by playing C64 games for few years and from there slowly move to Nintendo/Sega Megadrive games. Maybe that would stop the unneccary bitching about voice over, music and graphics.
  9. I'm quite sure that wasn't the point I was making, but whatever...
  10. It's up to you what kinda people you play with it and how many different groups you play with... and there's always the single player to keep you busy if your friends don't want to play as actively as you do.
  11. Umm to play it with your buddies like once a week continuing the game you started together?
  12. In a perfect world Obsidian would only be working with their own IPs. But since this the ****ty world we live in, publishers pretty much decide on the projects and Square-Enix wanted Dungeon Siege.
  13. I wouldn't be in such haste to put the "blame" on Obsidian on this though. Since no one that has posted on this thread (so far) has actually been in the negoations when the deal between Square-Enix and Obsidian was done it's pretty stupid to "blame" it only on them. We all know publishers play a huge factor on the final outcome with their mandates and expectations. And from a business point of view, I can completely see why Square-Enix didn't want to make a Diablo clone.
  14. I don't think they will, at least not for now. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if they used it in their bf3 marketing, since they are the ones playing catch-up. Me neither. I'm mostly worried that the lemmings that buy CoD will actually pay to play it online creating ****loads of revenue for Activision and once EA sees that it actually works they will follow with their brands.
  15. Why do you think it was Obsidian that made this decision? Usually decisions like this are made by the publisher who actually pays for the development.
  16. Above 80 is considered pretty good in some countries. 14/20? What a random rating scale
  17. No idea, I think Morgoth has a xbox though. Or I might remember wrong.
  18. What's stoppin you from using a xbox/ps3 controller on your pc?
  19. Watched the documentary "The World According to Monsanto". Now I'm depressed.
  20. Naturally it's a wise move to make Diablo 3 but better with the shorter amount of time and way way less staff. If I ever I get the money to open up a gaming company I'll hire lasthearth as the CEO.
