  1. I remember people saying how it takes Alpha Protocol only like 8 hours to finish. Took me like 20-30 hours. Spent 6 hours on Brayko alone on recruit&hard with my assault rifle & gadget build Mike. So I'm still not worried. And I'll rather replay a game that lasts 15-25 hours than a game that takes you 50 hours to finish and is filled with endless boring combat *cough* Dragon Age 2 *cough*
  2. You could release a cure for cancer and the Codex would be more negative than positive about it. Aye, and if you think they are being negative about DS3, go read some DA2 threads... Now those were fun to read at work.
  3. Yeah, FNV needs more DLC like weapons and appearance packs... Maybe they should have added a driveable vehicle into the DLC and put few missions involving it, make it atleast 3 times shorter and they might have gotten Gamble's seal of approval
  4. Umm, how about those who want to see how your choices effect the ending? Though I guess c&c isn't something the "real" Dungeon Siege fans want, so it doesn't matter. Right? Also what it comes to opinions of those who pirated the game. Usually these are the people who weren't willing to pay for the game in the 1st place. I would think these people won't have very positive opinion about the game. Because if they actually liked the game most of them would have ordered it after the demo. Sure there are those as well who just can't wait the extra 7-12 days and must have it immediately, or those who can't afford anything. Not to mention I would imagine majority of the people who pirated the game won't actually go on forums and openly admit they pirated the game... So there might as well be loads of pirates who liked the game. So yeah, I would rather trust the reviews at this point and the demo I've played.
  5. The way things are going, probably someone who doesn't play BioWare's games.
  6. Isn't Ehb pretty much the only place people have even seen in DS games. It's quite easier to move a Fallout game from one place to another since they are actual places that everyone knows. Not to mention then we would be reading tons of people going "why call it DS it's not even located in Ehb!!111"
  7. Asked the reviewer from Pelit how long it took him. "Close to 20 hours on normal difficulty"
  8. I'm sorry if I'm not gonna take your word / some random pirate kiddies word for it.
  9. Do everything, read everything and play with a challenging difficulty level and you won't finish the game in 10 hours. If the game actually lasted 10 hours the European reviews would have commented on it.
  10. And how is this related to reviews? I'm pretty sure the game can be finished in 10 to 15h if you skip sidequests, don't bother with the dialogue at all etc. But then again the same goes to pretty quite many games if you skip content and rush through it. If the game only lasted 10h it would have been mentioned on the reviews we've already seen. You know, from actually legit sources and not from some ADHD kids.
  11. After playing Dragon Age 2. I wouldn't use the words Dragon Age and quality in the same sentence.
  12. Well the game is still on Steam's topseller list... I don't get this controller hate either. Pretty much everyone of my friends who play computer games either own a console as well or a gamepad for PC and they are casual gamers. So I would imagine not that many people will actually need to go out and buy a gamepad just to play DS3. Unless the person is stuck playing just one genre (pc crpgs) of games it's more than likely that the person will own a gamepad. I guess they should have copied the most boring fight mechanism ever from DS1 and keep the same controls? As for Squeenix, they resurrected a dead IP that wasn't going to be worked on by the original developers anyways as they are focusing on RTS games. Also I'm pretty sure they got paid properly for the IP. Why not go cry at Chris Taylor for selling his baby?
  13. A part of me died everytime I heard that ka-ching sound.
  14. AP forums are a nice place if compared to DS3 forums I still find it ridicilous that as sucky sp game as original DS has so many "hc" followers. I wonder if this is how Bethesda board members felt like when Fallout 3 came out
  15. I have hard time taking anyone seriously who claims Dungeon Siege is one of the best rpg titles ever
  16. The combat mechanics work just fine on a controller.
  17. Maybe you should have just kept your mouth shut....
  18. Makes me wonder do all of you "I only play with mouse&keyboard" guys/girls play sport games with keyboard as well? For someone who grew up playing with TAC-2 and Sega's gamepad it's not that big of deal to pick-up and play pc games with a pad as well if the controlling works better on them...
  19. You will have to download it again. Steam acts out from time to time. You might want to reboot etc. if you haven't already.
  20. never encountered anything even remotely similar I saw it on few missions. You had to use quick load? to get it though. Normal load wouldn't bug the guards.
  21. I think there was post about there being a bug with some? Radeon cards and how AA works on them. I think it was Nathaniel who said they are currently fixing the problem. Haven't tested on my 6900 series card.
  22. You "win" by keeping the game out of the torrent sites before the actual release date too. Anyways back to on topic: Seems like bunch of rpgcodex posters like the game. Naturally codex being codex, they are already playing with pirated copies...
