Zork is awesome. Apparently it is freeware now from their website. http://www.infocom-if.org/downloads/downloads.html I have fun playing it. I never would have expected a Grue in the attic of all places.

This does not change the fact that it was a teaser and was advertised as such. Some teasers are little more than a moving movie poster. -

I think I'm with Kotaku posters and am sick of these countdowns to every little thing. Not that long ago we had a countdown to the announcement of a company name. Not even a game, not even the name of a game, a name of a company that makes games. Next we'll be getting countdowns to them hiring new employees, including when they get a new accountant. Because countdowns are so rad. -
I can understand getting rid of some games. Looking at my PC shelf, Battlefield 1942, Battlefield Vietnam, Call of Duty 2, Country-Strike Condition Zero, Dungeon Siege, Everquest II, Fable, Final Fantasy XI, Medal of Honor Allied Assault, Myst V: End of Ages, Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, Unreal Tournament 2003, and Vanguard: Saga of Heroes are all games I could very very easily do without. Some games I have are older than all of them and I wouldn't give up for anything. My 10 copies of Super Mario Bros (rough estimate), Super Mario RPG, Super Metroid!

The thing is, I don't like hack and slash. Only time I can ever stand hack and slash is in the action adventure. At least those hack and slash have a story and puzzles. Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate hack and slash like Pop hates Gundam or Meta loves Deus Ex.

That's still a lot of gaming time. Are you breaking it up with the occassional walk (other than to the fridge?) It's just a bit of a health concern. It totals up to be 9-12 hours. Spanned across 3 days, that's 3-4 hours a day. Is 4 hours a day on a weekend really a concern of some kind? Somehow, with 8 hours for sleep, 4 hours for gaming, I manage to find a little amount of time in the sparse 12 hours remaining for a jog or some pushups. I don't know how I manage. It's a tight schedule.

Those three were short games. The 1/2 has been a work in progress for a few months.

The show starts to die even before that. He gets relegated to a desk job.

They were down here for A-Kon? Crap, I was considering going this year. -
Oh, and I'd either still be an atheist, blatantly ignorant of any and all miracles or gods themselves that I see before me, or I'd try to get away with feigning worship of Bhaal, just as a variation on the previous religious lunacy.

I love Yasunori Mitsuda so much. Xenogears and Xenosaga Episode I are also his work and superb.

Time for yet another post by me in this thread! Well, I had a productive weekend. Finished Ico, Zone of the Enders, and Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner. I also got to the halfway point in Shadow Hearts, but that was a work in progress already. What game should I focus on next? (KEY: "new play" indicates never played before. "replay" indicates game has been played and most likely beaten at least once before) PS2 Second half of Shadow Hearts (new play of this half). Shadow of the Colossus (already downed 3 colossi) Wild Arms 3 (mostly new play) Ring of Red (new play) .hack//INFECTION (replay, but to be followed by new play of .hack//MUTATION) Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven (new play) Jak II (new play) Silent Hill 1-4 (new play) Star Ocean: Till the End of Time (over half is new play, will replay the first part as well) Suikoden III & V (both are replays except V was never completely beaten) Soul Reaver 1, 2, and Defiance (replay) Shadow of Destiny (replay) Beyond Good and Evil (replay) Gamecube Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door (new play) Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem (mostly new play) Resident Evil Zero (mostly new play) Metroid Prime Echoes (replay with some new play material) Viewtiful Joe (new play) PS1 The Legend of Dragoon (dying to replay) Xenogears (dying to replay) Front Mission 3 (dying to replay) Final Fantasy Chronicles: Chrono Trigger (0 memory replay up to the final boss who I never beat) followed by Chrono Cross (some memory replay) Breath of Fire IV (new play) Vagrant Story (new play) Parasite Eve (0 memory replay) and Parasite Eve II (replay, but never beaten) Lunar Silver Star Story Complete & Lunar 2 Eternal Blue Complete (1 is replay, 2 is some replay, mostly new) GBA Final Fantasy VI Advance (up to the destroyed world is replay, new play after) Final Fantasy Tactics (new play) Golden Sun (mostly new play with some 0 memory replay) PC Call of Cthulhu (mostly new play) Condemned: Criminal Origins (new play) No One Lives Forever 2 (new play, still unopened) Note: I have actually at least played for a few minutes all of these games except NOLF2. New play does not mean completely new, just mostly new or usually never committed to play through or gave up.

I'd really like to be a Warlock/Rogue/Assassin/Wild Mage/Wizard But, I'd probably just end up being a Rogue/Wizard with a high int score and average dexterity. Maybe a Wild Mage too, depending on requirements for the PrC.

Never was a big fan of Dynasty Warriors. I bought 2 at the PS2 release. Shallowest game I've ever touched. And I've touched pong!

Is this supposed to be somehow reassuring? By second Ardjet fight do you mean the fight where I'm desperately trying to move upwards but the lockon system keeps forcing me to stay level with raptors that never end? Edit: This is officially the most retarded game since the SNES days.

You can't put printed manuals of any decent size in a DVD case. Yes, you can. You can't put the manual for games like Baldur's Gate, Civilizations IV, or anything like those heavy manuals, but the vast majority of games have manuals no bigger than you see in your typical console release.
-
I envy you brits. Ya'll get actual DVD cases. We just transferred from boxes into box sized DVD cases. What's wrong with regular DVD cases?! I've put all my PC games on shelves, along with a collection of games unplayed or to replay including SNES games. I can take a picture for this thread later today.

Placing it in contemporary times while still ripping off major ideas from the original comic was what bugged me. That and having an Alien queen on Earth should have meant good bye to the human race. It was an insult to the Aliens, I tells ya'!

You are pleased by your ignorance? Tis a shame, meta. A right shame. Gundam has a wide spectrum of series. At least in regards to taste in mecha. Believable (08th MS team) to retardedly wacky (Gundam Seed where there's a Gundam that fires like 6 different colored beam cannons at the same time).

One of the fights is the one with the two groups of level 4 raptors each with a commander in pretty tight quarters. However, I started over so I didn't have to deal with all the lost XP and was able to get to another battle with Nephitis without dying once. I died, reloaded a save from right before fighting her to avoid the lost experience... and apparently it starts that entire section of the mission over. So much BS.
-
I'm getting frustrated with Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner. Not only are several battles ridiculously hard, but if you lose to them, you lose experience. Which only makes things harder.
