Divided forums isn't simply about organizing new posts. Should someone have to search through three pages for a technical problem that might have been on the first page of the tech issues forum? Not that I'm stating the official reason the forums are organized this way. But it's the value I see in it.

Yeah, but the idiotic platformer was still a rarity. The Mako was required for just about every single side mission in the game and for longer stretches of time. I'd say that planet exploration with the mako is nearly, or maybe even in excess of, half the content to be found in a full run of ME1.

I tend to run against the bandwagon, I think. I might even be considered contradictory, sometimes. I mean, I like Dragon Age 2. But the Mako is worse than the bandwagon claims. It's awful. I'm still waiting for the UN to hear my petition to have it declared a crime against humanity.

Looks really good to me. There's not remotely enough futuristic shooters. The only decent ones are Halo and Mass Effect. Mass Effect completely ignoring the futurist themes for fantasy in space. And Deus Ex, but it's kind of hard to count that with how infrequently it comes around.

Bioware's old forums used to retain your CD-key information if you registered it there. I don't know if they ever purged that particular database since they don't really use it anymore.

Yes, it did. I used it pretty much all of the time. It kind of stunk when you fought more than one at a time, still, because you could only parry the guy you're targeted.

My boss is considering Chapter 11 restructuring. ugh I think the key consideration for him is if he can do it without losing his swampland investment. (not literal swampland, just a worthless piece of land he'll never be able to do anything with)

Voice acting in Drakensang: The River of Time is so bad that it's become charming. I never thought I'd say that about anything. But maybe my analysis is off. Is it the voice acting that's bad? Or is it the way it pairs up with character movements? Could it be the pauses in dialogue that create awkwardness? I'm not sensitive to VA, or acting in general, so I can't put a finger on it. I'm not far into it, but it starts pretty slow. I have to wonder if it's going to keep this pace, single encounter dungeons, or if there will be extensive crawling later. And the level-up system is intimidating.

It's clearly going to be Monkey Island.

I'm having trouble deciding between Drakensang: The River of Time or one of the D&D games from the recent GOG sale I haven't played yet, IWD or TOEE.

The MMO is being considered the continuation. And there are hints floating around that it will feature Revan and the Exile. There's at least one official trailer that mentions Revan and features HK-47.

Found out one of the dogs has parasites. Whipworms and Giardia. Supposedly it can take 3 months to show up and they're communicable, so the other dog might have it too. The little dog cost $60 for the medicine. The big one will probably cost $200+ going by weight. And I was going to buy a new graphics card.

Ciaphas Cain: HERO OF THE IMPERIUM Very funny 40k book. I'd been meaning to pick it up for a while, playing Space Marine and Dawn of War 2 finally gave me the motivation to do it.

Played some more Dawn of War 2 Retribution. I've played a mission or two as every race and it doesn't seem there's any reason to keep playing after playing through with one. I was hoping for maybe a little more differences than I've seen so far, but I'll give up on that hope. Clash of Heroes as well. On Godric, the second character. One thing that bugs me a little is all the sidequests I've got for him are too high a level so far. So I can't run around doing the sidequests as I get them. I have to go do the main quest, then hit the sidequests as I get the appropriate level. Makes it feel somewhat more linear than it looks. Hit up a little Space Marine also last night. The problem that makes me think my card is frying happened and it seemed to happen worse than before. But given a few facts about it, I'm thinking maybe the card isn't frying, maybe it's just the terrible ati drivers. That may just be me in denial.
