  1. I think lots of people are more frightened by politics than zombies.
  2. Better or worse than Uncharted 2? About the same for me.
  3. Finished Uncharted 3. Still more frustrating bs fights at the end. However, fewer than the second game.
  4. I've always thought that would be awesome. Start off with just a robot form, hit a milestone to get your vehicle form, hit another milestone to get a second vehicle form.
  5. Where's the satisfaction in competition at all? Let alone exclusive rewards from competition. It's not rational to begin with. It's a basic trait that easily fooled and substituted.
  6. Now let's try exchanging the word challenge for trophy, medal, ring, ribbon, or belt. Not only will people pay to try for those things, other people will pay to watch them try.
  7. Went ahead and moved this to computer and console. I'd want them to keep it simple. Only the host can do quests so they don't have to worry about states. But the client can keep XP. Loot could be a concern. Depending on how the developers felt about item duplication.
  8. Woke up with a feeling of bile in my throat. And a slight urge to burp. Not feeling weak. Not feeling too hot or too cold. But calling it in, anyway. Last few times I did this, I always ended up coming in a bit after noon. So we'll see if it lasts.
  9. Didn't get that job I interviewed for last week. That'll teach me to be optimistic.
  10. I don't know if I mentioned it yet, but I decided to go ahead and pre-order. I tried weighing the good and the bad of Oblivion and Fallout 3 and decided they were worth it. They just have some really memorable bad stuff going on. It sticks with you and makes it harder to remember the good. But the good was still there. Anyway, I'm trying to decide if I'll play an Argonian or a Nord. Anyone else always feel inclined to pick their race based on setting in ES games? I'm trying to break the habit.
  11. I'd love to run a game, but I have no understanding of the logistics for play-by-post. I've toyed with the idea of organizing a weekend game using some online tools.
  12. Finished Prototype story mode. I might play around to get more web of intrique, but it's not very compelling. I do have a day to kill until Uncharted 3, though.
  13. Voyage of the Dawn Treader Good movie. A lot more adventure than the previous two. I always wondered where the Christian angle comes from. Aslan spells it hamfistedly out at the end.
  14. Been trying to play a few things. Gemini Rue is a cool idea, but it's not hooking me. I feel like I'm a bit in and not much has really changed. I keep hitting a wall in Sword of the Stars where an enemy ship shows up that tears apart entire fleets. Like 100 rounds in. So installing Prototype that I got on sale who knows how long ago.
  15. Bought Sword of the Stars complete/collection/whatever for $5. Number 2 came out and I was curious. Not really holding my interest. It seems to focus really heavily on the combat. But I'm not finding the combat all that interesting. It could be the slow start, as is common with 4X.
  16. Are you familiar with Slenderman? I think you could kind of leverage that mythos with what I see from you. ARG style. A lot of your work, no offense intended, has a disturbing element to it that I think would go well.
  17. I don't see why you'd need to remove it. Might upset the machine spirit if you do. You could try explaining this.
  18. Also because Paul Anderson is a terrible director. And terrible writer, but he didn't write the new Three Musketeers.

    STEAM!

I enjoyed Borderlands immensely in single player.
  20. They've had some good offers. I think they were giving away Mass Effect 2 for free at one point. I could be confused on that. It's been known to happen.
  21. That's good though, it means Steam won't be the only big guy on the market - which should hopefully help with competitive prices... or maybe not. Well, wouldn't it be better if these kind of services weren't owned by publishers or developers though? Like Impulse (now), Gamersgate, Direct2Drive, GreenManGaming, and Amazon. The only way anyone will be able to compete with Steam at this point is with exclusives. Which kind of requires they be connected to content producers to get anything good. Edit: Well, not compete. I'd say they all compete with Steam as it is. People do price compare. But it'll take something like that to quite get the marketshare quickly.
  22. It got an expansion, which is more than Vietnam got.
  23. I'm feeling good. Never had an interview I felt comfortable at before. First time I've walked out excited instead of feeling like I blew it.
  24. Not anymore than regular magic. But it's a moot point because priests don't cast spells. And the one time one of them gets asked to, they point out their talismans have no power whatsoever. In DA... I read something about a Blessing... is that an option in the chantry (to some), but one that has no effects? (or does it?) It does nothing. All healing in Dragon Age comes from mages. Specialist healers get a bonus from spirits.
