South Park RPG
Tale replied to vault_overseer's topic in South Park: The Stick of Truth: General Discussion
That's a fantastic image. I mean that. -
Catwoman is the new copy content. You know the industry trend to have content only available to new copy purchasers? That. If you buy used, then you have to pay more for it. Anyway, playing Assassin's Creed Revelations. Doesn't feel like there's much in improvement over Brotherhood. The den defense missions, hookblade, and more guild management don't hook me in it. Glad it's Ezio's last, they need major changes or refinements to sell me the next installment.

There was a box? It was DVD case from the start here (KOTOR1 too). Also 4 Discs instead of 1 DVD even if it was totally the rule here in Europe. :/ The US move from boxes to DVD cases was only about the past year or two. I know ya'll have been doing it a lot longer.

South Park RPG

If the Game Informer cover is anything to go by, it'll have some significant fantasy themes. Though they may be using it as a platform to lampoon fantasy. -
Oh I get it, they take on fantasy character roles for some reason. The context makes sense for South Park, but I'm still not sure that's enough for me to be optimistic.

Except you need magicka before that, so if you drop all your magicka cost, you're wasting investments. And the pieces that accept fortify school are also many of the same pieces that accept resist. And resist is nice. I found that -100% destruction, - 50% conjuration, and some resist was a good balance.

She does put on the goggles in thief vision mode.

I started doing that to the Dark Brotherhood. Complete main objective, fail optional, stab the questgiver after turning it in.
-
Yeah, it seems there was a recent repress. With slim DVD cases as opposed to boxes.
-
I stopped, not because I'm not enjoying it, but because I have other games to play. I started up Assassin's Creed: Revelations. And I've got Peace Walker to go through as well. I still want to get all the shouts, finish Dark Brotherhood, get the Windhelm house, do the civil war, and play a dead is dead Argonian Paladin named Does-The-Impossible.

Backstabbed a dragon today. It didn't seem to realize what happened because it immediately took flight, circled around, crashed, THEN died.

Oooh, I did not know that. I just killed her the moment she told me to kill the priest. But everyone seems to think I'm Namira's Champion anyway. The shopkeep had the option to say that I saw her at the banquet that never occured due to me killing the host. And some random encounter guy who was about to dine on a High Elf has a new home in a black soul gem. He thought I'd join in! Crazy people out there. Dear psychotic and apathetic "I'm just doing my job" denizens of Skyrim. I am not your friend. I am vengeance. I am the night. I am Batman! With swords. And lightning bolts.

I was able to use two weapons from the favorites menu during a short period when I used Honed Falmer Swords. But when I started using Daedric Sword (Legendary) it broke. If you've done it before and it ceases to work later, it may be related to the specific items used.

There's just too much. I've already capped Enchanting, Smithing, Conjuring, and Destruction. So I'm running around beating people up with swords now. But I haven't done Thieves, Dark Brotherhood, or finished the main quest.
-
Should I get Sam & Max complete... I mean, I have all the games. But I have two seasons on Steam, two from Telltale. It'd be nice to have them all in one spot.

I don't care about Mandalorians. I rolled a space cowboy. Imperial Agent would probably have a plot more to my liking. But I can't be interested in TOR again after Tattooine.

It's funny, but I'm playing the Bounty Hunter in beta because I know it is the last class I would want to really play in an MMO. And while the story has been engaging enough to this point, there are still some things about being all about the benjamins that rub me the wrong way. I was sincerely hoping the BH plot would relate to the greater conflict in at least some way. But it's completely irrelevant. It's a contest. I recognize that's just my preference. A lot of people are playing the Bounty Hunter class for things like The Great Hunt and to play characters after fame and fortune. But I was hoping to be able to play a mercenary for the Sith. They're not even involved in the class plot, except they hire you for petty things on rare occasion.

I'm less annoyed that companions are forced on you than the method of this particular one's acquisition. I didn't care that I had to team up with Mako even though the motivation was lacking. But this guy. THIS GUY.

I won't be getting the game. I haven't touched it in what seems like months at this point. And I'd like to say why. I want to avoid hyperbole, so this is going to take a while for me to edit in. The game hit me in a very bad spot, but I want to filter out the emotion. Maybe I'll just stick to the facts. Bounty Hunter quest on Tattooine. You're sent to kill a target, naturally. You chase him around, seem to find an opportunity or two to catch him early, and he escapes. You get to the end of the line on the planet and you catch him again. I thought to myself "finally get to kill this bleep." I would like you to guess what happens next. Did you guess that he escapes again? Not quite. I think I could have been content with that. You help him. You are forced to help him fake his death and he joins you as a companion. There is no other choice. What kind of plotline forces a Bounty Hunter character to defraud his employer? It might not have been so bad if the circumstances weren't so forced. A clone is involved. And you have to kill it instead of the guy you're supposed to. It was around this time that my initial beta session ended. They were going to update the client, do a new round with fresh characters. Could not be bothered to log back in with that to look forward to. Or even the entire concept that represents. It's a denial of a more than reasonable player choice, the desire to do the character's job when they have the opportunity and ability to do so. Computer games and their writers can not be expected to predict and account for all player options. They can't even implement all of the reasonable ones in all circumstances. But the option they force the player to take in this instance does not strike me as a reasonable one. I realized something a while back about RPGs. To write or design an RPG well, they have to be able to DM well. If a DM pulled that in a tabletop game, nobody would ever return. And the DM would have extra dice lodged in his face.

End of old thread. That reminds me of a skiing trip I went on. Rode with family so didn't have a car of my own. Went walking one day to get lunch and passed by a bus stop that was completely covered in snow. Ground to roof. You couldn't actually get in the bus stop. I am so tired today. I think I need more coffee. I can't even post in threads correctly.

This thread has reached a ripe old postcount. Starting up a new one. New thread.

How did you get such a high %? It seems no matter what I do, my enchantments are always really weak. I'm still low level though, I guess I just need a really high skill, lots of perks, and better soul gems? As a side note, is there reason to wear armor on mages or not? Yes. I have > 80 skill and all the relevant perks. And I still used a potion that improved enchanting, otherwise I would only be at 92%. Keep in mind it took 4 enchants, one ring, one necklace, armor, and helm. 24% each. Being able to wear armor is the big benefit of enchanting for mages. I can't say the armor is helping a whole heck of a lot, I rarely get hit. But it's a nice precaution.

96% destruction mana reduction on Legendary Daedric Armor. My current strongest spell is an AOE that costs 4 mana. I am level 32. I think I might need to turn the difficulty up now.
-
That's mana regen. Which doesn't seem to work in combat.
-
My new character feels a bit overpowered. I've enchanted 75% mana reduction on my Orcish Armor (Flawless). It just seems a bit overkill for level 22.
