I miss Titans. And suiciding C4 packed jeeps into walkers and APCs.

I think they've backed themselves into a corner. If you get to keep everything, there'll be no advancement. They'd have to revise the upgrades. This may be as simple as adding another level to everything that has one. Still doesn't strike me as easy. The ending of Missing Link could just be a teaser to a Human Revolution sequel.

Haven't played it, but I looked into it. Apparently there's no campaign. And Sword of the Stars 2 is expected to replace it.

Fridge logic for Arkham City Got a round of Exterminatus in. Did better than the rest of my team despite having to go AFK during the last round. Came back and outlived them all and got the most kills.
-
Never said it was my first attempt.

I'm starting that today. Robin Edition. xD The Taurus demon? Yes. Read walkthroughs on how to beat him. Occasionally someone would mention him charging off the edge, so that lessened the surprise. But you never expect to be one of the lucky ones.

Verifiable... whatsits? You mean that thingy where other people put those names with the strange numbers? Never had any of those.

Finished The Missing Link. Back to tooling around in Dark Souls and The Next Big Thing.

Put in an application yesterday. Got a callback today. Have a preliminary on Wednesday. I'm fairly confident that I can get it. I'm not too excited about the job itself, but I think it could be a good entry point. Okay, maybe I could be a little excited about the job. It's a significant move up from where I am as it is.

Valve does not sell keys. All keys are publisher sales, not Steam.

What part of ancestor worship is not a different religion? Many people question the Triumverate's divinity. Or the Daedra's. Religion isn't simply about what gods exist, but whether they are gods. And the Dunmer didn't accept the Emperor's divinity, either. If all it takes is simply accepting that someone exists, then Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, and ancient Egyptian myth are the same religion. Because they referenced real people. Unless you think there were no Pharaohs. That's not made clear in the fluff. The Imperial Truth worships no one. It is an atheist belief. The Cult of the Machine worships the Machine God, which may very well be a C'Tan. They are exempt from the Imperial Cult. They simply accept the Emperor as the Machine God's representative. And Chaos do deny that the Emperor can work miracles. They believe he's nothing but a sack of dead flesh.

Which don't really support it. Forgotten Realms has several entire pantheons as previously noted. And Elder Scrolls has belief systems vary by regions. The Dunmer in particular used to practice ancestor worship before the Triumverate ascended. And parts of that tradition are maintained. Star Wars is largely secular. The Force is the only religious belief exposed at all. But even Han was skeptical of it. It's far from unifying. You see no non-Jedi giving it any consideration. 40K has at least three competing belief systems for humans. The Imperial Truth, Imperial Cult, and Chaos. Only one of which is currently dominant for the Imperium, granted. And one of which is practically wiped out completely. Oh, and the AdMech's belief systems.

In Warcraft, there's still more than just the Church of Light. Trolls and Orcs have their own systems. And the Church of Light's god isn't running around doing anything. As far as I've been made aware, they don't actually have a god to do that with, instead worshiping the concept of light as good. In what way does it manage to hold the entire world or be "perfectly real?" Dwarves and trolls both have a diversity, with shaman and priests. Final Fantasy XIII definitely does have active gods and a certain Catholic semblence. But I'm not sure that the one game makes it so pervasive.

At this point I'm going to need examples. Because I still don't see it.

Trying to decide what to do with my Dark Souls character. I want to play Sorcerer. I also want to have decent melee backup. So, I made a Sorcerer. Got annoyed by the pig sticker. Rerolled Pyromancer, have that up to level 12. Am annoyed at how much it'll cost me to pick up sorceries. And am thinking about rerolling Sorcerer again, just pumping up strength for a longsword.

Dark Souls, second boss "Oh crap, I missed my attack. RUNNING RUNNING RUNNING" "Oh crap, nearly dead, RUNNING RUNNNING RUN" YOU DEFEATED "What?" "Oh, he charged off the edge."

Best this year is Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Past couple months, my favorite is Space Marine. Part hack and slash. Most recent purchase of mine that's good is Red Faction: Armageddon. Still relatively recent, but older than the previous two. On to Dark Souls. It's okay so far. I'm not seeing a reason to get excited yet.

Completed Arkham City. Everything in the campaign except advanced AR challenges.

D&D often has one pantheon. But that doesn't mean one church. Forgotten Realms most definitely does not have a single pantheon. It has Faerunian, Kara-Turan, Maztican, Mulhorandi, and Zakharan. And other settings, such as points-of-light do not have the gods going about doing stuff. Even the divine power of priests and paladins doesn't come from gods. Dragon Age has one church for much of the land. The elves have their own worship system. As do the dwarves. The qunari who are, as far as I've been made aware, functionally atheist. And no gods actually active and involved.
-
D&D, in general, doesn't have a singular church. Regions may have something they favor. Though that didn't seem to be the case for the Baldur's Gate games. And some settings have multiple pantheons, such as Forgotten Realms. You just don't deal with the relevant scales in any CRPGs of it. Since that's kind of my go-to-fantasy, I'm having trouble resolving the idea that there's always a single pervasive church. As for it always having the god necessarily present, I point to Points-Of-Light the new 4E default, and Dragon Age. One is a pantheon that is distant and does nothing. Even Dragon Age has a few religious systems. None of which have the god as active, so the question exists.

Can you get me a press badge?

I slipped in the tub this morning. My side is going to hurt like hell tomorrow, I imagine. What the heck, people? I'm not 60.
-
People who don't have to care what other people think? Then why am I not wearing one?! I'm so confused.
-
It's weird seeing him with an earring. It's not the 90s. Who wears earrings anymore?
-
!!! That was the one part I didn't quite catch before.
