I stole an Adra Ban from a townsperson in Dunnage/Radiant Court. I also stole a handful of Ruby/Emerald from that single map - real treasure trove. I'm on 3.1 beta, with (Loaded Pocket) BB. Edit: corrected the place. Nice! I am actually wondering if Adra Ban drops were increased in the current beta. I actually found one in the trading HQ in Queen's Berth on the first floor. I've never had that happen before, and God knows I've gone through that building enough times in the past! Edit: I didn't pick-pocket. It was just in one of the cabinets.

I get a small display bug every time a dialogue box opens up. Basically it's either two "1"s spaced apart - or it could be two brackets - "[" - spaced apart. I have never seen this before this beta.

Not completely relevant but: Clear Out does friendly damage, right?

Okay, I fooled around with this feature a bit just now, and it is NOT as unbalanced as I thought. Two considerations: 1) Fully-equipped characters are very expensive. For instance, I tried to buy one of my imported characters from the tavern, and he cost almost 110k! So running around with 5 fully-equipped characters from Port Maje is not a serious option - thank God! 2) You are still limited to recruiting characters a level below your current Watcher level. So no, you cannot run around with level 20 characters from Port Maje. I guess I should've given the devs more credit than being stupid enough to implement a system as unbalanced as I initially feared.

Yeah, it looks like manual targeting is way better even for hand mortars. I just tested, and manually targeting hand mortars caused about 33 percent more DPS relative to auto in 10 repeat fights I tested in Fampyr's Cave at top left of the map. I can only imagine it'd be far worse with spells. Edit: But I am so damn lazy, ROFL. Edit 2: Another reason is that I am testing the DPS and other performances of several builds, and I thought it'd be fairest if I don't control anyone - since I cannot reasonably control everyone.

Can someone comment on the spellshaping?

Are you guys seeing the difference in PotD? If yes, then how? -
As baldurs_gate_2 says, it's definitely doable. There are lots of Aggressive check opportunities, and enough (though fewer) Cruel opportunities. But if you prioritize Cruel responses over Aggressive ones, and generally choose one or the other of those options when available, you should be fine. Two warnings: 1. First, some Aggressive options will throw you into fights you don't want to get into. It's generally OK to skip those options; there will be enough Aggressive conversation opportunities to max you out without them. 2. Second, you have to be careful to not get things like bits of benevolent dispositions -- one benevolent choice is enough to give you a bar of it if you're a Bleak Walker, permanently lowering your Deep Faith bonus. And (more frustratingly) some quest choices/conversation options will leave you with a benevolent disposition even though the dialog checks themselves don't warn you of this. (For example, if when talking to the Prince in Neketaka you suggest that he leave the black market working, you'll end up with a benevolent disposition, even though none of the dialog checks indicate this beforehand.) So you'll want to save before dialogs, and before accepting quests, to ensure this doesn't happen. Hmm, just one wrong click can mess you up? What if you simply don't take Deep Faith? Then you will be stuck with +10 defense bonus, but that won't be lowered regardless of what you do - and you have a free skill point to work with, no?

In my quest to find the best DPS melee that is also very tanky, I want to finally try Bleak Walker/Trickster Holy Slayer who will dual wield Modwyr and Hel Beckoning. But I have been cautioned by several posts (I forgot where) that said Bleak Walker is hard to play, because you will anger everyone, and it's surprisingly hard to max Deep Faith. So how bad is it then? Am I going to be stuck in like 11 or 12 Deep Faith bonus rather than the usual 15 Deep Faith as Kind Wayfarer? Will I lose quests because various factions won't even want to talk to me?

Upon testing a lot of "dual gun" builds, I now frankly think you are already being inefficient by using pistols, as there is no getting around the fact that so many enemies have high pierce resists. I know there are several pistols with lashes in them, but the percentages are low, and it won't make up for the loss of damage due to high resists/immunities. Now dual blunderbusses are a different story, as you do have two very good ones with dual damage type.
-
As long as there are no immunities involved, then I am okay though with just carrying one weapon set with two weapon types and never ever switching. I primarily use swords, warhammers, hunting bows, and Serafen's blunderbusses, and it seems to me that most "immune!" messages I've gotten had to do with elemental effects that are attached to these weapons or my classes that are not working. But I wasn't completely sure if there were any double immunity enemies. High resists are okay, since I have a lot of armor negation debuff tools at my disposal.

You are right: You can run a reasonably efficient melee character with just AI scripts; but you cannot with casters, because there abilities are so situational. This is the main problem I am running into: For instance, if I script fire nuke spells, then they will be completely wasted against fire immunes. You don't run into this problem with melees, as there are no "melee immunes" or "weapon damage immunes" (only immune to a particular weapon damage). On a different tangent: I am looking at Druid spells, and all he's got that won't do friendly fire are the two foe-only electricity AoE spells and the two foe-only insect swarm raw damage spells. Perhaps if you combine those spells with the Wizard single target and foe-only spells, then it can do reasonable DPS? I may try such a build and test it out now that I have a level 20 save game (still left the high-level Fampyr areas in top left and bottom right for such testing).
