  1. Wow, that's some pretty high praise. I think it's pretty decent, a lot of room for improvement. But fair play to you, glad you feel better.
  2. Why is this turning into WoW?! DoT, Aggro!? Never were these words used in the old days.
  3. Yep I made a topic just like this way back when it came out. Everyone wants to get in your pants immediately. At least in BG2 the romance crap developed over the entire game, not over 1-2 conversations.
  4. Yeah I'd rather have a character who is just an adventurer. No ties to the gods or any of the malarkey. Having them Skype chats with the gods all the time cheapens them, there is absolutely no mystery left.
  5. A feedback is just feedback. Nothing more. They don't have to do anything. Developing companions is too much work, so they're going to - at best - make more sidekicks relevant in DLC. Time is money, friend. Oh well, who cares.
  6. I'm disappointed there is no post game expansion! Isn't that what most people voted for on that feedback questionnaire?!
  7. Wonder if any of these expansions take place after the main game, has that been said does anyone know?
  8. Ere, when Teclis23 is on the case Valve will be quaking in their boots.
  9. Almost derailed the thread completely there guys. Subverting expectations doesn't = better story Is it not possible to enjoy Dragon Age and Pillars?
  10. I prefer the combat in Deadfire, mainly because in the first game it was over in about 2 seconds and I couldn't really tell what the hell was going on. My guy would run at light speed across the screen even on slow mode. However, Empower isn't all the interesting of a mechanic. Is there even any reason for its existence within the game world?
  11. Yep this happened to me the other day. I was pleasantly surprised they put that in.
  12. But that would be interesting or maybe even... fun! That would be proactive instead of reactive. That would allow player to use common sense and see the game react in a way (s)he expected. That would make a player feel smart, accomplished. Perhaps even proud of himself/herself. It wasn't intended to work that way. Designers are pretty much gods while we, players, are mere mortals. A god wants to have absolute control over his creation. And here we had a mere mortals discovering something not intended by gods and also using it. How those mortals dare! Those little, filthy worms. Gods must have felt offended. Thus designers justly punished unruly players by preventing forced movement from working with disengagement attacks. Let this be a lesson to us all. Play the game not how you want, but how designers want. SOZZZZZZZZZ!!! Maybe it was just like the old sack of rats thing in 3rd edition.
  13. It exists merely as erotic romance fanfic from nerds on here.
  14. I'd just assume people who are into RPG's are more likely to buy a game on GoG as opposed to steam.
  15. Some of the Valian ones are kinda long, what Ydwin starts with? Dusters are more Victorian era aren't they anyway? But they still look pretty good.
  16. After listening to a lot more of the banter. I don't mind it, it's fine. It does its job.
  17. I love how passive aggressive this guy is. Good on you lad.
  18. I think it's too easy to enchant weapons and that. Why does our character know how to do it instantly and can do it anywhere? You should have to go out and find a scroll, maybe there's some buried treasure which has the recipe for it. Then you have to take it to some enchanter or have an arcana skill of x to do it. OH WELL it isn't like that so who cares. I assume that it's because you're a watcher, so you can manipulate soul essence. [ I guess, it just feels like a bit of a missed opportunity for exploration.
