Level 32... i am struggling a bit more now. It is taking some time. + I am encountering a lot of Horde and getting a beatdown. Prot warrior 1v1 pvp in classic is not good.

I didn't mean it will be an FPS. More that it will be a drastic turn and just merely use iconic things from the previous games but in a completely new/diferent genre.

Haven't played anything since WoW Classic... been kind of obsessed with it since launch. Although i'm playing less now getting a bit burned out. My own fault though.

Had a good run of Shadowfang Keep last night. Had a few skirmishes with some dirty Horde on the run through Hillsbrad as well, was pretty cool. Tanked the dungeon, we only wiped once on the last boss because I got transformed into a wolf and killed our healer! Speaking of which... he was a Paladin and won the roll on the Commanders Crest shield... damn it all!

Use the same engine to make another game not set here. Something set in... Forgotten Realms perhaps. Using AD&D 2E.

No point making current similar to classic at this point. It's 2 distinct games at this point. People who enjoy the LFG systems etc play that. People who like the old school style of play, massive time sinks and pains in the arse can play classic.

There is a massive lack of critical thinking in this world.

Made it to level 23. Played over 30 hours last week... maybe I should calm down a bit. My eyes are feeling sore now. Best go outside and get some sunlight or something. New WoW went in a completely different direction to what appealed to the original player base. Fans have been saying they want that old school style back for years but someone from Blizzard even once said 'You think you do but you don't really'. Well obviously people do because they are enjoying Classic.

I think people are being nice because they are excited about the game. Wait til everyone has wiped 50 times in Deadmines and things will change. WE actually wiped 7 times before the 3rd boss.. <_< People just kept pulling more even though we said 1-2 max. OH WELL!

You only need to subscribe. £10 per month in England. No other fees I believe. The slow pace is what makes it stand out. yeah some of it is because of bad drop rates but, you have to walk all over the shop. Feels like you're on a proper journey. And there's a ton of people about since it's just been released the world feels quite lively. Basically it's a real MMORPG. New WoW is some kind of weird Diablo type game with constant pop culture references and that. There is a charming simplicity to Classic WoW.

So I have been playing for a few hours last night. I thought I would get bored quicker but i'm really enjoying the slow pace of the game compared to alter iterations. Feels like Baldur's gate in some ways, moving really slowly to get anywhere, takes million years to kill anything. But there are tons of people about so it makes it feel quite lively. I am pretty sure they have increased the respawn rate compared to the original version. I remember having to wait ages back in the day, things seem to spawn almost instantly after dying now. Not sure if it's cos there are so many players around.

I have told my girlfriend not to bother me this weekend. I think I will be getting it.......! Maybe I will get bored after that but I feel like I want to play it. Remember when it would take HOURS to get through Deadmines and what have you. Blackrock Depths too nearly a lifetime.

Orrrrrr... if anyone has played Dargon Age: Awakening, you could either carry on your Warden character or have be a new guy. It was basically the same story but there were changes based on your character. Maybe something like that could work?

Never watched any esports before, the only thing I'm aware of is that annoying looking guy with the blue hair everyone is always going on about. No interest in Fortnite or whatever so never bothered watching it. I would probably check out some Street Fighter 2 or something if that was played maybe...

Just for closure I will post one more time here. Had the funeral today, I wrote the tribute/eulogy. tried to make it light hearted and people laughed a bit and also read a poem at the end. I was shocked at how many people appeared, turns out my dad had a lot of friends. Around 15 family and 35 friends came. It was quite sad as the last time I saw most of them family members was my Grandmothers funeral. Feels like that is the only time we meet. I should remedy that. I also realised that Funerals are much more honest than Weddings. Everyone is very genuine and upset and honest, Weddings however there is a lot of taling behind backs and bitching.
