  1. Who would you suggest as a flanker fighting just behind the main tank if I need to choose between companions ? I don't think there's much choice. I'm thinking now a party with Eder tanking in the front, Pallegina zipping around, Tekehu in the back dealing AoE damage and some occasional heals, and the Deep Leap shooting to clumped up enemies; I feel I still lack something sturdy that can intercept enemies and tank for a while. Maybe I could just use Rekke as a Brute (I really fancy The Willbreaker). Or Aloth as Battlemage?
  2. That's sad. I would have loved to try the combo witch + The Willbreaker with him
  3. I'd prefer to build Pallegina as an off tank with the Tuono e Fulimine build: she is supposed to run through the battlefield proccing disengagement attacks... so she can't fill the tank role. I'll stick with good guy Eder as a tank then.
  4. Hi guys. I'd love to hear some suggestion from you on building a great party with the story-companions for my next run on PotD. At the moment I'm playing with custom adventurers and it feels ok, but I feel I'm missing some banter and some good dialogues. I was thinking about recruiting Pallegina (Tuono e Fulmine build), Serafin (built as witch with Willbreaker) and Tekahu (Tāwhirimātea, the God of Storms build) (btw: thank Ascaloth, your take on companions is always very interesting). My doubts: 1) Will Serafin be good enough as an offtank? The idea is to make him sort of a debuffer with weapon (Willbreaker+modal) and spells (Secret horrors, etc.) 2) It seems that I'll lack a solid tank: I'm already playing as Trickster/Unbroken in my current run, so in principle I'd love to leave that role to a companion. Who do you suggest? Maybe Rekke? i find Eder's bromance a little bit boring in the long run. 3) As for me, I'd love to play some good AoE damage dealer, siding with the Valian Trading Company (being mediterranean, that's always my favorite faction, ac?). I'd love also to try the sheer power of The Deep Leap build by Boeroer, but it seems too dependent on alpha strikes made from stealth. Am I wrong? Boeroer, I hereby summon you to answer! 4) Will I lack in the healing department? And if so, how do you suggest to fix this? 5) An alternative could be hiring Fassina (for an all-out pro VTC party) and build her as a single class wizard and fill again the tank role. Any suggestion on a tank-healer-but-also-not-boring build? Has anyone played with Fassina and has a suggestion on how to build her? Agracima everyone in advance.
  5. Combat text is sometime persisting after combat is ended. The text also persists if I change location/embark/disembark. The text goes away if exit and reload. Screenshot is attached.
  6. The build looks really cool. I don't think you can survive level 1-16 without a shield or something that raises your deflection by "a lot", though. I was toying around with the build today and the poor guy got downed more often than my DPS seer (party of 5, level 10, PotD all upscaled). Am I doing something wrong? I have already tried giving him more CON and RES ad the cost of MIG and PER with the console but it's its abysmal deflection that makes it really hard for him to survive. What's your advice for the first levels? Also Blood Frenzy amounts to 121 raw dmg in 27 second with 20 INT at level 10: basically I am committing suicide the moment I click on it. Should I avoid becoming frenzied until I get Barring Death's Door?
  7. Thank you! And what about accessories (Strand of Favor) /passives (Effigy Resentment: Zahua) that boost beneficial effects duration ? Do you know if they work with barring's death door?
  8. Can you elaborate on your weapon choices? I'd love to try the build, but I don't get the reason for this specific weapon choice ...
  9. Awesome build. Can you share your chants selection please? What would you recommend?
  10. Frostseeker crit AoE doesn't apply either blinding strike nor crippling strike to monsters hit by the AoE though. The AoE is probably seen by the game as a different and subsequent attack.
  11. The topic was already tackled by many here and there, but I couldn't find a comprehensive treatise about that in these forums. My question is: which weapons that attack in a AoE or proc an AoE on crit translate the ability effects to all its AoE hits? I did some testing myself and recollected some infos scattered around. And also... what about weapons that do attacks that "bounce"? Does the second attack transfer ability effects? Is there a logic or a general rule behind the translation of ability effects? Edit: here's what the common knowledge is (patch 1.2): Normal weapons WotEP AoE: it does transfer ability effects (Crippling Strike, Blinding Strike, Stunning Blows, etc.); it does NOT work with Swift Flurry and Heartbeat Drumming. Whahai Poraga AoE: it does transfer ability effects and it does proc Swift Flurry and Heartbeat Drumming. Hand Mortar/Fire in the Hole AoE: it does transfer ability effects (Dorftek made a build around this feature). Frostseeker AoE on crit: it does NOT translate any ability effect. Watershaper's Focus* bounce attack: it does apply ability effects. Rods' modal AoE: it does apply ability effects. *Watershaper's Focus, being also a rod, can then achieve two AoE jumps (=three AoE attacks) with Driving Flight firing just once (as pointed out by Boeroer). Summoned weapons Kalakoth's Minor Blights: it transfers rogue ability effects (Crippling Strike, Blinding Strike, etc.) and Stunning Blow. Citzal's Spirit Lance: it transfers ability effects and it procs Swift Flurry and Heartbeat Drumming (tested by Boeroer). P.S.: I'll keep updating the list if somebody has new infos or any suggestion.
  12. Would you multi such a build always with a rogue (streetfighter) or would it be better to go wizard/monk to exploit duality of mortal presence for bigger AOE? Only street-fighter, because of insane damage passive, 35 int you can hit without mortal presence Thank you. It's just that I imagined the guy in question as inherently midrange or ranged for some reason, and then it looked boring/not fun to me to click every time on the blunderbuss modal to activate the attack speed bonus from a distance. P.S. Do you know if there is some "not overly baroque way" of activating "heated up" on a ranged character other than firing with the blunderbuss modal on ?
  13. Would you multi such a build always with a rogue (streetfighter) or would it be better to go wizard/monk to exploit duality of mortal presence for bigger AOE?
  14. Do you think it is better to go for max area of effect with aloth's cloth and pets with + aoe range or to put on miscreant leathers and cutthroat cosmo and push to reach max action speed and recovery time?
  15. Ganrich, do you think there is a way to make this solo viable? I'd love to play this build with the new patch
  16. Does somebody know if the cone applies also alterations inflicted through primary o full attacks (crippling strike, blinding strikes, ring the bell, etc.)? (sorry if it's a little bit off-topic)
  17. It should be supported by the latest drivers but it cannot be found by geforce experience app.
  18. Here's Stalker's link fully upgraded... + 10 % damage to Flanked targets (Increases with Stealth skill) Hits cause 20 % damage as raw over time 33 % chance to recover immediately on Crit (edit: I can't upload an image because)
  19. Same problem here. For me it's the sound of one those "pulsing shrines" that you can find in dungeons that stalks me during the game.
  20. Dear pro-builders, I was thinking about a more refined version of this build idea, which is basically trying to achieve max speed and max crits with a Nalpazca/Berskeker: an alcoholic drug addict that goes around stabbing people to death. The guy should wield double daggers (Pukestabber+another dagger?) and equip the ring that makes you immune to hangover effects. What do you think? What's the best stats spread for a build like that? Do you think that the Ravager class fits to it or it would be better to pair the monk with a Devoted or even to settle for a simple drunkard and just go devoted+street fighter? I was thinking something like high DEX and the rest spread between PER and MIG. Abilities, BARB: Frenzy->Blood Frenzy; Bloodlust + hit to crit passives; MONK: clarity of mind; turning wheel; swift flurry (but the + attack speed part goes wasted... so I don't know about this one); Enervating Blows... Any suggestions? Thank you!
