Yes, you are stupid. When you choosing Expert Mode, you can see a caution: "This option is selected when you start a new game. It cannot be enabled in game and, if disabled, cannot re-enabled in that game". Try to read some ingame tips before click random buttons. God bless you're not president of USA)) I imagine: you pressing the BIG RED BUTTON and then "ouch...what were is that? Can i restart this game?"

Yes. You can download MaxQuest mod source files - https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/92999-community-bug-fixes/?p=1921632 (there is a link to project source code at the bottom of post). Inside downloaded folder you can find a file named Assembly-CSharp.3.06.dll - this is original file from version 3.06. Just rename it to "Assembly-CSharp.dll" (without quotes of course) and replace in your PoE directory (PillarsOfEternity_Data/Managed). That's all. You can backup 3.07 Assembly-CSharp.dll and start game with it if you want to buy new Deadfire Items (otherwise there will be no merchant), then save, quit from game and replace file with 3.06 version - when you load savegame, all items will stay with you and will work properly. I playing with this trick and already beat half of the game, without single bug.

The Custom Portraits Thread
Phenomenum replied to Namutree's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I've created nice Vailian lady this time. Maybe some people could use it, i don't know... Anyway: -
Another topic from me) I've spent more than an hour testing this s**t in many surcuimstances, on various enemies and i don't understand. Wildstike Belt give +10% bonus to Wildstrike. Ok. But here is two examples (numbers are exact from combat log): Druid, lvl 5, Spiritshift Cat, Wildstrike Corrode (+30% corrode dmg), Greater Wildstrike (+15% corrode dmg) vs Xaurip Champion (DR 10) 1. Without Belt. Hit 35 (DR 10 - 5) = 30 Slash dmg + 10.4 Corrode. 2. With Belt. Hit 35 (DR 10 - 5) = 30 Slash dmg + 15.3 Corrode. How...?

Hi there! I have a question about lashes enchantment. Specifically about their reduction through enemies DR. As i remember, lash damage counting from actual damage done (before DR) and reducing by 1/4 appropriate DR type of enemy. Ok. But number in combat log were so odd and i start counting, and... numbers not match at all. For example, accourding to combat log, crit Forest Lurker with mace + Corrode Lash (Crush DR = 10, Corrode DR = 4) for 39.5 Crush dmg - 10DR = 29.5 Crush + 9.3 Corrode dmg. How this number appear? I sitting with a calculator, counting all possible options, but my calculations are not match with ingame numbers! Same thing for Druid's Wildstrike - I just don't understand how this calculated in game. I appreciate for any tips and answers. Thank you all in advance.

Agreed. Now i went to WM (lvl 7 as usually) and Confuse triggers on everything - most annoying it'a Palleggina's Vielo Vidorio trigger - in tough fights this random Confuse of my main tank makes even simple encounters emm... complicated. Not sure i'll want using this Hat futher. Good for soloing anyway.

Why Sanguine Plate for Hiravias? Why no simple clothing or something with minimal recovery penalty? DEX is not high and cast recovery will be too long with plate. I understand your point - get crit, activate Frenzy and then spiritshift and go to melee. But what if Frenzy had't triggered? With exeptional small shield and hatchet you get a + 21 Deflection bonus. With new pirate outfits it will be + 41. So lvl 8 druid (Hiravias exactly) might have 82 Deflection without buffs or RES bonus. More than enough for first line tank, fast casts, without wasting time for long recovery.

That makes the weapon only really usable by a Ranger though, which shouldn't be the case. I'm all for the idea of "it's so powerful that it can Stun and Prone people, therefore it takes a long time to reload", but if the devs were really trying to play that angle the decreased reload speed should have coincided with the Stun and Prone chance. In this way the level 3 weapon unlock is actually better than the level 5, which is fundamentally counterintuitive, and therefore likely an oversight (extremely weird seeing as the got the +50% attack speed working just fine, you'd think they wouldn't make the mistake to throw in a minus in front of the reload speed). I'd agree with you, partially - at the moment it only usable by ranger with SA. Another one thing: this arbalest don't have crit damage penalty (- 0.3 to crit gamage). But you're right - level 3 seems to better than lvl 5. Don't think it's a mistake (becose with bonus +50% reload speed, rangers might have +100% reload speed bonus and +70% attack speed which will be overpowered anyway), i think it's a design oversight.

Can't understand all those complains about Spike-Finger reload speed. Give that thing to ranger with Swift Aim and still have +70% attack speed and 0% reload speed penalty. Can't see any problems here - considering superb quality and 30% chance to cast prohe or stun on hit/crit, it'a a pretty fair tradeoff.

Level 7 exactly, 4th level Od Nua, after i got Percistence for constant DoT to activate Itumaak + 50% bonus dmg. All and all, Sagani's pet have +85% bonus and 3 DR bypass, and nearly outdamage my rogue (sadly Itumaak have relatively slow attack speed). Quite enjoyable setup and new to me, becose i used Sagani only with firearms earlier. If only i have a pistol with DoT damage... For now i activate Wounding Shot with St. Guaram pistol for decent damage and bonus accuracy for Itumaak, then switch to Percistence.

Additional advice: you should buy one of those fancy pirate clothing with +20 bonus to Deflection. It will rise up your defence close to fighter's one and a lot of enemies crits became hits, and so on - you'll gather much less damage. You can enchant it with durgan steel later, which brings you 0% recovery reduction and much more defence - another incoming crits to hits conversion.

3.07 Blurred backgrounds
Phenomenum posted a question in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Something with render, i think, but since update every map is blurred: + strange artifacts on certain zoom levels (take a look at those squares on trees - like extreme JPEG compression) AND STRANGEST THING: when i moving my party (and camera of course) several times with double-click or just quickly pan camera, blurring disappears on small part of map and game looks like it should wor a while: It's on every map! I remember there was a problem with blurred font on 3.0 version... maybe it's similar issue. If it unable to fix, please, let me know where i can get old 3.06 build, becose at this moment game looks awful. P.S. Steam version, Win 7, NVidia GPU
